I’ve given this place 3 chances since the prosper location opened. Today marks the final visit I will make to JC’s. On this visit most everything was exactly the same as the first two: the burger is nothing special with no tasty flavor, the fries are way too greasy and the staff was totally indifferent. No smile, no thank you, no asking how you doing, nothing. Just about anything is more exciting than eating crappy food while being treated as if you are a burden. My 10 bucks would have been much better spent elsewhere, anywhere else. Don’t bother with JC’s.

Our family really enjoys JC’s. It can be slow — which is odd given the number of people in the back. However, they don’t mess up and bring things out in odd stages or in a mix of hot/cold so it’s OK.

I love their burgers. Both times I have gone they were perfect. I love the way they cook to order and do not mind waiting for it. My issue is the fact if you use a card to pay they try and guilt you into at least a 15% tip just to place your order. They run your card then flip the iPad over and you choose among 3 different percentage points or no thanks. But there are no servers. It boggles my mind. I tip at Scotty P’s because they put your food on real dishes then bus your table. But this is EXACTLY like going to Whataburger. You take the number to the table. They drop your food and take your number back and then you’re on your own. I don’t tip at Whataburger and I’m not sure why they are asking for not just a tip, but a tip up front and at least 15%. Tips = To Insure Proper Service. Where was the service? They took my order and want a tip for it? And they got my order wrong and when I brought it to their attention he said«oh, want me to get you another side?» AND they don’t have ketchup or mustard or anything available. You get a little plastic cup of ketchup if you order fries. I asked for Ranch with my fries and it cost extra. But the burgers are delicious!

Great burgers made to order. Get the tots instead of the fries. The fried dill pickles are great too. Beer by the bottle. No draft. Definitely a step up from fast food joints. Service is okay, but can be hit or miss.

JC’s is my husbands and my favorite burger joint. We’ve been to Plano, Addison and now this location. The burgers are excellent with fresh toppings and well seasoned, flavorful meat. The fries came out freshly cooked and crispy on the outside. We also tried the fried jalapeño bites which were delicious. But the best part is their homemade ranch! Oh so good every time. I agree with the other reviewers that the atmosphere in this location is pretty loud due to limited space. The wait time is also pretty long but keep in mind that they cook your burger fresh where you can see them. It’s not a pre-cooked fast food burger so if that’s what you’re looking for, don’t go here. Otherwise, you need to try this place! You won’t be disappointed.

I will say that they have a good burger. Just not worth waiting 35 min for it. The restaurant wasn’t very busy so I am unsure of the hold up. Also I got the lunch combo which came with shoestring fries. I personally hate shoestring fries. I will probably give them another chance.

My wife and I went here for dinner with other immediate family members. We placed 3 orders right in row after standing in the long line because of 1 register. 2 of our orders came out 10 minutes later but the 3rd order was delivered after the entire table had already eaten. This was after we asked twice where our other order was. Not one apology from any employee but we did get, there are two orders in front of yours. How could there be orders in front when it was placed with the others? This place is poorly run for average over priced food. I think we will drive past it in the future and eat at the other local establishments.

This place is close to home, and one of the few places in area to serve beer, so I was rooting for it to be great. Maybe I set my expectations too high. Food is good enough for a local burger joint. Service average. There is only one register, and the ordering process is not quick, so we usually stand in line for a bit. Not terribly cheap either. Just average overall. Would have given three stars, but I docked them one because when you place an order at the counter(after waiting in line), the cashier turns the machine to you and says«you can leave a tip or not». Gee, thanks.

Food is good but priced too high. It is so loud in the dining area due to the music playing, people letting their kids run loose and screaming you almost can’t stand it. They need to add some kind of sound deading and parent’s with crazy loose kids screaming should be more considerate of others who are trying to enjoy a meal.

Burgers not very tasty. Won’t be back any time soon. Fries suspect. Not cooked well. Had a Frisco melt. More jalapeños than burger and also no sauce?!? Pricey as well. Better option is Sonic next door. Not a long term business for Prosper.

We have very little dining option in Prosper so when something new opens up-everybody is going and excited to try. JC“s is the same. Problem is they just recently opened up and it’s going down hill fast. And I can almost fear true it’s be used they have kids running this place. Service has always been very slow, restaurant and bathroom are not kept clean. Burgers are average and so there is nothing that stands out. I do t see this place driving when a couple more better quilts chains come into town.

Pretty good. Get the Cheese fries! Don’t get the fried pies. Burgers are decent. They are burger them you imagine so order a size smaller than you think you could ready. We’ll be back.

I have been eating at Jc’s since it opened in Plano in 1999. It has always been the best burger in town! This is a great addition to the prosper area! I went in with my family and was greeted with nothing but smiles and wonderful service! The burgers are to die for especially the Patty Melt!!! Burgers are perfectly cooked to medium well perfection. Hand cut fries were crispy and delicious, not to mention their chicken breast that is marinated over night. So good you can eat it plain or on top of their fresh salads. I will definitely be a regular! Come check this place out!

This was a very disappointing experience. The burger meat had almost no flavor. I have bought better buns at Walmart. And the bacon is so thin you can almost see through it. I had the onion rings as a side and they were over cooked and again the batter was very bland. To make matters worse the service was not great either. All of the young men working were more interested in flirting with the one young girl who was working than actually serving the customers. I am sure I won’t be going back.

I wanted to love this place. I was so disappointed. The hamburger was overcooked and bland. All I could taste was the thick bun. I did like the fries as they were cut thin.

Delicious chicken sandwich and fries. The fries are thin and just cooked to perfection. The tables were clean and the staff was excellent. Simple review for a great local place. Go here to keep business’s in Prosper!

Last evening, my wife and I stopped in to try the«new» restaurant in town JC’s Burger House. i had to ask(because the menu is a bit strange, offering 2 quarter pound patties, and also a ½ pound burger) what is the difference between two ¼ pound an a single ½ pound burger(?) to which the order-taker(cashier) couldn’t explain… I asked three different ways to figure out if there was a difference(the 2 ¼ pound patties would be the same as a ½ pound, correct? The my wife who is a devout and learned school teacher realized the cashier di not know her mathematical fractions and therefore could explain. it is sad that our education is going down the drain. The burgers were absolutely delicious(she had a ¼ pound and I had a 1⁄3 pound burger), HOWEVER, witnessing the actions of the employees(while waiting for our order) and their lack of hygiene is what will prevent us from returning. It was disgusting. Rather than staying busy cleaning the dirty tables so a customer could find a decent place to sit, four and sometimes five of the servers(?) would congregate around a table behind the counter(where the cook would place the orders in baskets for the servers to take to the customers). While waiting for our order we observed two of them running their hands through their hair(several times) and two others that were munching on something(fries perhaps?) as they leaned over the table and food and visited with each other. And it’s apparently catching as the cashier started running her hands through her hair. None, including the cook, who was handling other items as well as the food, utilized sanitary hand gloves; it was most unappetizing to witness the server(who had taken his hat off to run his hands through his hair and put the cap back on) pick up food to deliver, without washing his hands or put on sanitary gloves. They can have the best food in town, but if they do not respect the consumer enough to keep their tables clean and practice simple common hygiene, I can’t stomach(pardon the sharing my hard earned cash patronizing them. There are others that work hard to earn the patronage of the local town folk. If there was a manager there, he/she needs to wake up.

Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. I live in the area and seeing how the restaurant options are limited its nice to know this place is nearby and makes good burgers. The burger tasted pretty good and I’ll definitely be back. Normally I only give 5 stars for places that go above and beyond, but I think people in the area should know about this place.

My wife and I went here last night for dinner. I would not say the burger was bad it was just bland and needed season. It seemed as though the meet was not season before or during the cooking. Sure, you can season the meat after it is cooked but is not the same. We’re great and cook very well. I am not going to say that I will not be back, however, I would like to see more flavor. It was more season more, I would have given this 4 to 5 stars.
