I’m a sucker for vintage goods and Carmen & Ginger has some of best selection of items around favorite about this shop is its location(in the lovely Arcade) and its owner. Every time I’ve paid a visit, she always welcomes me with a smile! The shop is packed to the brim with small knick-knacks and some great clothing items as well. I snagged a killer Ralph Lauren peplum denim jacket for $ 30. This is definitely one of those places you’ll want to visit at least once every few weeks to see what’s new… and since you’re already at The Arcade, you might as well check out the other small shops as well!

Stepping into Carmen & Ginger is like instantly transporting yourself back in time. Conveniently located within the Arcade, Carmen & Ginger is a must-visit for vintage lovers such as myself. The woman working helped me find exactly what I was looking for and made browsing the store a little less overwhelming. I’m on a mission to return on a day that I can simply just peruse everything that’s jam-packed into this adorable little shop!

Loved this store so much — we went in twice in one night during the 2015 Merry Marketplace event! They have a little bit of everything vintage — pins, cuff links, post it notes, postcards, photos, ceramic figurines, dresses, boots, shirts, clutches and purses, Christmas ornaments, board games, books, this place has sooooo much to look at! That being said — there was a lot — but it was nicely grouped and obviously straightened /organized regularly(huge bonus!) The woman working was so nice and helped my friend find a pair of beautiful earrings(they have pierced and clip ons!). Stop at New Harvest for your drink of choice and give yourself plenty of time to browse this store at The Arcade. Surely a place to pick up a vintage gift or even something kitschy and or nostalgic for yourself!

Another stand out business in the Arcade. Way beyond you typical old-clothes-consignment shop, this place is an absolute dream for anyone with an appreciation of mid-century kitsch. Even if you’re just casually rushing through the Arcade, you should make sure to stop in here, I guarantee you’ll find something you need to buy for someone in your life.

The owner here is super sweet and her store is adorable. Remember those Santa mugs you drank cocoa out of when you were a kid? They have them. Such a little treasure chest. Anything and everything vintage can be found here.

Squeeee! Adorable! I’m kicking myself for not picking up that Bing Crosby Christmas album for $ 8.50. I feel so at home here I fear my next step is shaking my cane at neighborhood kids.

Hands down my favorite vintage store! You really never know what you are going to find when you go in. Christine, the owner, is so nice and helpful. She’s extremely knowledgeable about all the products in the store — which can’t be easy because she has quite the selection!

This is such an adorable shop in such a charming location — I totally love it! Filled with unique vintage finds, cool locally-made tees and totes and an array of funky stationery items, Carmen & Ginger is a great place to stop for gifts and goodies. The space is small, but it’s packed with stuff — vintage clothing, children’s books, funky jewelry and other adorable knick-knacks that come and go with the tides of patrons. I find the owner to be incredibly charming and whip-smart. She’s helpful but not at all in a hovering-over-you sort of way; actually, since the shop is so small, she kind of lets you do your thing while letting you know she’s there behind the counter, giving you room to roam and relax. A also love that the namesakes are pets — a cat and a dog. How cute is that? Wicked cute.

Adorable shop and great prices. The owner could probably get more for her merchandise on eBay. I had a very emotional moment where I felt like I was back in m grandmother’s house as a little girl. Of course I had to buy something that reminded me of my grandmother.

After driving 30 mins to visit this shop and searching 30 mins to find a parking space the owner sat there and did not even acknowledge our existence… we won’t be returning… cute store, preoccupied owner.

Love love love Carmen & Ginger. Owner Christine is super knowledgeable and friendly, and staff Val is the nicest! Lots of vintage clothes here, and the biggest assortment of vintage cameras I’ve seen in RI.

Discovering this tiny store inside The Arcade is like a nostalgic walk back in time to the days of Betty Crocker and Mad Men. Vintage 50s, 60s and 70s household kitsch galore! You’ll definitely see items from your home growing up if you’re a Boomer and think, «Why didn’t I hoard this stuff?» Vintage Corningware, Polaroid cameras, kitchen dish cloths, Tiki items, Thermos bottles, TWA70s flight bags, it’s all here. Cool owner who named the business after her cat and dog. It’s almost like a tiny collectible museum!
