The owners were nice guys, helpful and responded to requests. downside was the small room, limited breakfast and cramped or cluttered feel. Upside was the price and location.

I am giving this four stars based on value, proximity, and service. It is quite outdated and a bit cluttered. We were spending two nights in ptown and wanted the first night to be somewhere under the $ 150 range which is why we chose this place. Te owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. They make a nice little breakfast and have an extensive vhs collection. Definately serves the purpose if your looking for an affordable place to crash.

Great Neck, NY

I’ve stayed here year after year. The owners go out of their way to please guests. Every room is clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home and then some. Breakfast is a generous one with cereal, hardboiled eggs, toast, coffee, etc, all that you could want. They get to know their guests without being intrusive making each guest feel at home. This is a very special place in a perfect location for either the town or the beach. Free parking as well. Rates are more than reasonable considering all that you get here. Private baths, tv, mini-fridge, etc., breakfast, and more.

Stayed here middle of May, which is off season, price /quality ratio was really-really great :) Can’t speak for every room in the house, but ours was a generous size and with a lovely fireplace which also throws off heat. We really enjoyed victorian-antique market inspired décor, it felt sweet and warm. Yes, the bathrooms are not big, but who would expect a big bathroom in a 100-year old victorian cottage? Many guest houses of that age dont even have private bathrooms, so we were very selective picking the BB that could offer private amenities. Really close to the Commercial street, great location and very quiet. Breakfast was a regular continental breakfast, but boiled eggs were nicely done, not rubbery like at a regular hotel :) The owners were incredibly nice and helpful, it was really great to have this personal, human touch in service. Overall, very pleased and grateful.

The place was quiet and nicely decorated. Price was good when we stayed in late May. The movie collection stops sometime in the 90s. Quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was nice but was the same thing every morning.

Friendly proprietors and good location by downtown, but kitschy furnishings and décor, small bathroom and tiny sink, and minimal breakfast. For $ 150/night, could do better.
Their VHS library, categorized and alphabetized, is a propos.
