Lots of flavor, fun place. Quick service. And worth the price. Go for the beef. The chicken is good, the pork is good, the fried chicken is good, but the beef is the best! There was five of us. Four of us give it a four-star, one of us give it a five star. If we could do 4.2, we would.

Having lived in Korea for five years, CupBop is FAR from authentic. It wasn’t necessarily bad; I’d eat there if my friends wanted to or if I was starving. But i’ve never craved it since eating there. I wouldn’t go there again on my own. Koko’s lunchbox is much, much better.

I’m giving these guys 5 stars because they produce the same quality and taste as the other two Korean restaurants in Provo(SamHawk and Fusion)… AND they do it much quicker and are far less expensive! Some say it’s not very authentic but then again, how authentic are the other two aforementioned restaurants? CupBop does a great job!

This is my new favorite place. Their food is so tasty and the people are so cool! I wish they would open a CupBop in Salt Lake City! For now, I will just eat catered food at work. Thanks for make such delicious food!

So I’m very conflicted on where cup bob stands… I feel like as a restaurant or a food truck I would give it 3 stars.(based off food alone) Now at a jazz game or a RSL game I would give it 4 stars. I’m assuming that’s why they positioned themselves at those locations. I’ll give you my breakdown… Okay rice Okay meat :-/iceberg lettuce… Yuck Really good sauces. Yum Basically I feel like I’m paying for a sauce… They should switch up the iceberg for fresh cabbage or romain because there is absolutely no nutrition in these cups. But that’s probably not what they are going for… duh. Maybe add some cilantro and a small portion of kimchi, cucumber slices? I have wanted to try this place for awhile and I feel meh.

Good, but not quite as good as the hype led me to expect, so I was a little disappointed. The combo bowl we tried was filling, but not exactly amazing. I’d eat it again for sure, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to track them down.

This place is awesome! Closest thing to the Chego! bowls I get when to L.A. Definitely worth the $ 8, and I also added the kimchi and beets on the side, which I also liked… But not as much as the bowl. So far I have tried the beef, pork, and chicken and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. The only thing I would change would be to not get the noodles and just stick with rice and lettuce(or extra meat), but that’s just because the noodles aren’t rice noodles. They are tasty though if you eat wheat.

This place is super cool! I like the store location with the TV on the sitting area, there is always some type of K-pop playing, and you can plan on one of their food trucks being at the food truck roundups. I have sampled a few of the different meats, and I have to say Kko Kko Bop is my favorite. It comes with the meat, noodles and rice. Then they add the sauce. The sauce is literally what makes the whole thing so delicious. They have you choose a spicy rating from 1 – 10. I’ll be honest, this is really inconsistent. I chose a 6.5(just because someone else in front of me did) and it was too hot for me. But the second time I went, I got a 6 and it was very underwhelming. That being said, it isn’t a make or break problem for me, and like I said, it really is a great place! I will continue to support this local business, but some type of consistency would be nice. Or maybe let us add the amount of sauce we want!

I may have only had a mediocre experience because I wasn’t able to eat here until after the big fad. The only problem is the portions, for a food truck in the area it is really expensive and you get very little. I’ve had it three times now, because the flavor is great. Worst experience was the cupbop kiosk at the stadium, although compared to the other fare there it is ok. The other two times were at the Scera food-truck roundup, one time it was ok, the other time terrible.

Korean food for white people. Not a good ratio of meat to rice and noodles. You have a choice between pork, beef, and chicken, but none of them are marinated enough in my opinion. The only flavor you really get is from their spectrum of hot sauces, which aren’t that impressive either. If you’ve been to an actual Korean restaurant, you’d find this disappointing as well. I’m not sure why the line is always long. I think 3 stars is me being nice.

Cheap fast amazing! Not much variety, but who cares? It’s all good. The spicy get’s a little spicy so I would say anywhere it the 2 – 4 range is safe. Combo bowl is best to try then next time get your favorite/

Very tasty bowls of Korean Japchae noodles with choice of beef, pork or chicken. Rice can be included or substituted for noodles as well. Then a hot chili sauce, spicy mayo and soy sauce is combined to make your desired heat level, from 0 – 10. I prefer a combo beef and pork, over noodles, heat lvl 7.5 with extra spicy mayo. It has layers of sweet and heat. just delicious. They are very accommodating, simply ask for something. Their pork mandoo dumplings(like potstickers) are tasty too, but have been known to sell out fast, so hurry and grab 3 for $ 2 more. Bowls are deceptively large and filling. I can split one at lunch with a drink and feel pretty satisfied. Service is extra friendly. Lines for these bowls can be extra long at lunchtime. Besides the two Utah county stores at UVU and near BYU, they have three trucks and locations at Jazz and Utes home games. They also frequent local fairs and festivals in the summer. Just be careful. these bowls of goodness are highly addictive.

Look guys. I like it. Not going to lie. It’s a good food truck that serves good food. Unfortunately, it’s a Utah cheaper rendition of Korean food. I know I know, the place is good! But unfortunately, I can give it 5 stars because it just isn’t worth the price to me. Learn how to make the sauce and you will be set. If you do want some sort of pasta or rice bowl, then this is it. For flavor, one of the better food trucks. For authenticity, not it. 4 stars for being great at Utah Korean food.

I have been with cupbop from the beginning and I am sad to say that it is not what it used to be. Half of the cupbop experience was Jung, J. K. and Spencer shouting out orders and talking with customers. Now it is just a bunch of white dudes quietly taking your order and handing you your food. The food isn’t the same either. They are putting significantly less sauce on the meals. So much so that even when I asked for extra sauce, my food was pretty dry, and I didn’t even finish it. When this happened once I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but this has happened 3 times now. The chicken in the kko kko bop used to be big pieces of chicken, but now it’s just shredded tiny bits. It isn’t worth waiting in line for 30 minutes, and paying 8 bucks for dry bland rice. I seriously miss the old cupbop and hope they revisit their old ways, but until then I won’t be coming back.

You know what the best part of eating here? Cougar dental paid for it. So in a way my lack of cavities led to my sadness. well it was either here or pita pit… great options ;) but let me be more clear… they gave you $ 6 off… which pays for none of their meals. i think the cheapest was 6.15. I got the combo, with beef and pork, and based on reviews I got 9 spicy level because it seems like the main complaint is the weird blend of flavors. WELLGUESSWHAT!!! still wasn’t spicy. which is okay, I am not going to complain solely based on that. I wanted to think… MAYBETHISISJUSTLIKEMOVIEHYPE, and i was just dissapointed because it didnt live up to it. Just tasted weird… the noodles are stupid and lack the ability of soaking up flavor. The potstickers on the other hand… pretty good, if they are homemade I am really impressed… but they suspiciously taste like the ones i eat from costco. Perhaps I am missing something… the flavor reminds me of that awkward stage of puberty where you are like… I am not really sure what I am suppose to be. Too much of a good thing can ruin a meal. THEVERDICT: kudos to the owners though, they have been able to take advantage of the citizens of provo who are looking for something novel, new, and different. Perhaps because of so much lack of culture throughout their lives they subconciously long for something to fill the void of mediocrity. Which i think is done well here. But I was not so easily tricked. I will go a second time to verify my review, and i hope my cynicism is destroyed.

I am in no way an Asian food expert, but I know what I like and like what I know. Cupbop is at the point of cult status here in the Beehive State. They’ve done an excellent job branding themselves on social media and come off as a young, spunky, very charismatic, entrepreneurial bunch of foodies. The array of spices and flavors are plenty, but I can see why some snicker at the fact there simply isn’t enough meat — a core article of Korean cuisine. My bit here is the Cupbop’s food is neither bad nor bad. The noodles are always cooked well, the portion, in total, is a lot of food. I would agree with most that if I’m paying $ 8 for a Beef Bop, I better hear some«moo» as I pull my out my money. Do you feel me? Sweet or spicy, they have options which is another reason I like them. Same with location; now in Utah County you may reel in their permanence. For us in SLC, the fact remains: We will follow.

The flavor is there, and they’ll load up on spices for you too, but there is way too much lettuce, rice and noodles with just a small amount of meat. If I’m paying eight bucks for a cup of food, I would expect to maybe get layers with more meat. Or to not get bagged lettuce or what tastes like boxed rice. If any of you have ever seen the TV show The League, this place reminds me of Yobogoya Beef Bowls. There’s just not really any substance to it. Better places to spend and save your money at.

Four stars solid for flavor but wait time and small amount of meat for 8 bucks knocked them down to 3 stars. If you want to try cupbop you need to follow them on fb so you know which city they’ll be in. During lunch hour is always pain. I waited in line for 40 minutes before being able to place my order but once your order is placed, it only takes a minute to make. They have meat choices from chicken, pork and beef. They also have a vegetarian option with tofu or if you’d like, just rice and noodles with no protein added. Prices range from 7.50−10.00 bucks. Mandoo(what I like to call Korean pot stickers) are awesome and have good flavor but only come with 3(they are 2.00) there spice levels are 1 – 10 and if you aren’t a spicy kind of person I suggest you stick with level 5. I opted for level 8 and it was the perfect heat that didn’t linger too long. I haven’t tried level 10 yet but will next time. If you want it protein style instead of rice or noodles, ask for all veggies. I wish they had more of a variety when it comes to their veggies bc it’s JUST lettuce. Maybe some carrots and bean sprouts would liven up the dish a little? NOWFORSAUCES. Holy sauces. They arent shy about drenching your meat/rice or noddles/veggies in sauce. If you aren’t a fan of all that yummy goop then let them know ahead of time to go easy on the sauce. I will be back if they are in my area but I wouldn’t go out of my way to have another bowl. Although delicious, I think portions need to be reevaluated. They give you a lot of rice, noodles or veggies but hardly any meat. If they change that they will earn another star! The staff is super friendly and that’s always nice so I hope that aspect of their business doesn’t change.

Let’s just say, I finally set my curiosity to rest. Standing in line for 30 minutes during the Gallivan lunch hour was bearable thanks to the enthusiasm from the Cupbop workers. The excitement from the workers undeniably stirred a commotion to make all the lost hungry souls, that were wandering the plaza, join the already-ridiculous-long line. The truck itself was strategically located at the bottom of the descending stair case, so each step down was one step closer to ordering the ever-so-raving korean food in a cup. I ordered the hot bop(spicy pork) with no veggies and the b-bop(bbq beef) both with rice and humbly denied the«free noodles.» I asked for a level 8 and was informed the gentleman next to him was the sauce master and that he would be the one who will create the level of spice I desired. Based on previous reviews, Cupbop’s various levels was true to the claims of actual spice therefore I asked the sauce master for a level 8 on on the hot bop and a level 4 on the other. Disappointingly, both levels of spice, 4&8 were not spicy at all due to the additions of all the other sauces that were put into the cups. The BbQ beef in the b-pop was way too sweet for my tastebuds. And while I requested no veggies in the hot bop, there were still cabbage/lettuce present. Even though the quality and flavors of the food was definitely not worth my time waiting or the price I paid, I cannot ignore Cupbop’s friendliness and time that they put forth through the presentation and service. Cupbop was just simply not my cup of tea… Or should I say not my tea of cup.

I stalk this food truck on Instagram and Facebook for a reason. The very first time I had Cupbop, I fell in love. Then the addiction started. I found myself craving it every single week! I always get the Combo since I like a little bit of everything. Rice, some veggies, spicy pork, my favorite Korean noodles, and of course bulgolgi. I have to admit, they win me over on the seasoning of their meat. There is so much flavor in one bite. When I first had it, I started with a level 7 spicy. I LOVE spicy food and I mean extremely spicy, I thought it was pretty spicy the first time. But I noticed as I kept getting a 7, it wasn’t hot enough. I now get a level 10 and I think it’s perfect. Sometimes depending on the level of spice, they don’t add the mayo in(since it calms it down), which is my favorite part. They have no problem adding it in. The workers are extremely friendly and always willing to give extras. I’ve never ordered Mandoo but I sometimes get lucky and get a couple free ones.
