I’ve tried a few dishes but settled into the Penang curry with a side of egg rolls. I could eat this every single day! Take out is fast and painless though eating in was a good experience as well. The staff is very friendly and the food is mouth watering.

I lived in Thailand and this is the closest I have found to legit pad Thai! It’s the real deal and now I won’t go anywhere else! A bit disappointed in the massuman curry, but I’m going to stick to the pad Thai and Thai tea which is also very legit

The only reason I give this four instead of five stars is because the service was exceedingly slow. The good news is we had plenty of time to wait and boy it was worth the wait I’m always in search of good Currys to try and I tried the red pineapple curry because it seemed different. Different it was with the sweet and spicy blend and all of the fresh vegetables it was delicious. We also had the fresh shrimp rolls — yummmm– and the chicken satay. Both great starts. Lastly the pad Thai was the best standby — we always order this when at a Thai restaurant. Will visit again when in Provo.

We com here pretty regularly to get good Thai food. I don’t really have any complaints about the food. They have a great Massaman curry, Vegetable egg rolls, and best of all in my opinion is the mango sticky rice. The food is great. But the service could be a little. After ordering and getting our food out waiter was up in the front with another worker just talking for the rest of the time that we were there.

Spicy Thai is somewhere I eat a few times a month. Their food is consistently good and inexpensive. It always hits the spot. The restaurant itself is nothing flashy. It’s pretty plain and sparsely decorated, but don’t let that fool you. It’s still delicious. It feels clean, which is really important to me. The waiters are pretty quick to fill your drink and keep it filled. I always order the vegetable egg rolls for an appetizer and they always impress, and I’m not a big egg roll person. For the entrée I like to order the chicken massaman curry. It has cashews, carrots, potatoes and chicken served over rice. It’s delicious. I also love their pumpkin curry. Something I’ve noticed that is different about Spicy Thai that sets it apart from other Thai restaurants is that the curry tastes less watered down and has a lot more flavor. For dessert we always get the mango sticky rice and ask the kitchen to add ice cream on top, for a dollar more. It’s delicious and amazing. Definitely would recommend! I’ve taken friends who claim to hate Thai food, and they left full and happy.

Mediocre at best. Looking at the other reviews, I wonder when Provo is going to wake up about food…

The food deserves 5 stars the service gets 3 stars. I evened these out and give them 4 stars. Here are a few things I like about the restaurant. The food is delicious and prices right. The portions are big. I always get the orange chicken and the honey ginger chicken is awesome too. I also like the fact that it is locally owned. The owners are very nice people. The service isn’t the best. Especially when it is busy. I understand that they want to keep labor costs under control but when it’s busy they need more people to work. For example tonight tables were left Dirty the entire time I was there. So my suggestion is to go at in between times. That way you can get served immediately. The food is amazing though.

I’m updating my review, this place is EXTREMELYUNDERSTAFFED. During the week there is one employee doing everything. That one person is the hostess, bussing the tables, waiting the tables, and the cashier. The whole experience is dulled because the waitress is always in a huge hurry, struggles to fill up drinks on time, and there’s usually a huge wait at the register and to get seated. It’s really sad to see the waitress genuinely stressed but the fact is they need at least 3 people. Food is 5 stars, but they need more people working!

Please don’t come to this place people, the service is really bad and the food is unsanitary, my shrimp were under cooked and tasted rotten. I have a friend from Thailand who worked here a while a go, he says its their common practice to hire illegal mexicans and pay them a «salary» they make them work 80+ hours a week and under this«salary» the illegals make on average $ 5/hour. that’s right! slave labor for way less than minimum wage! My friend from Thailand says he was offered the same«salary» deal with the promise of one day becoming a manager, he quit soon after. Slave Labor, in the heart of Happy Valley!!! I felt it was my duty to let everyone know what is really going on, The Lord knows I’m right! Please don’t support this un-american business!

I’ve tried a lot of thai spots in the area and spicy thai is by far my favorite, thai house at the point of the mountain is a close second. I cant recommend this place enough, the masman curry is my favorite, but everything is delicious. I’ve never been let down at spicy thai, and while its not the fanciest place inside(but still far from a dive/hole in the wall) the food rivals all the other thai spots in utah county!

Spicy Thai is a must try. I go here weekly and it’s always amazing, as usual! The food is quick and delicious. Everything I have ordered on this menu never disappoints especially the amazing Curry’s! The restaurant is always clean and has a really good vibe with music playing. The service is AWESOME! The workers work really hard and are very friendly. Try the mango and sticky rice for dessert!

For Provo you really can’t find better Thai food! Pad Thai is fresh, spring rolls are big, and chicken satays are the best with peanut sauce!

If you are going for good Thai food, this place does great as the food tasted great. the problem is that the service is so mediocre that it ruins the excellence of the food. There were only a few people in the restaurant when I went there, so I figured the service would be great. I was wrong. Again the food was very good though. I had the coconut soup, some sort of noodle and of course the gyoza. There wasn’t one thing that I wouldn’t eat again.

This was our first and only experience with Thai food. After checking Unilocal before we went, we chose a few recommended dishes. We got the papaya salad. Omigosh it was delicious. I am still craving more three days later. The Pan Thai was delicious and probably our favorite main course. We tried many dishes because there was six of us and we all shared what we ordered. One guy got sweet and sour chicken. It was so good. For dessert we got coconut mango rice(or something like that.) We gobbled it up so quick. It was light and refreshing and the prefect dessert. The servers were friendly and helpful with the menu. Our water and soda’s were kept full. The place is nice and clean. We went at 5:00 on a Saturday night and it wasn’t very busy yet. But come about 6:00, the place was getting full. We’ll go back.

This restaurant has become a staple for my family. I feel like we come here once a week. The lunch special is the best option in my opinion(a little less than 7 dollars). I usually get the Masman curry, tom ka soup, and a satay and walk away more than satisfied. Try it!

Don’t be scared of the name because the Papaya salad is both fresh and delicious. I added shrimp to mine and left the joint feeling full but not disgustingly full. And if you like sweet tea, the Thai Tea is for you. Experiment and leave your comfort zone when visiting Spicy Thai. It’s more likely than not you’ll be glad you did.
