We wanted a pest service to check our attic & crawlspaces four times a year. Instead, we were upsold into a rodent treatment package(which caught zero rodents so clearly this was unnecessary) plus a six times a year contract. For a pricey service contract, it sure has been inconsistent. First couple of times seemed okay but then they cut way back on what they were actually doing during the service calls. Had to call the office to insist that the technicians actually checked the attic and crawlspaces during service calls.(This was, after all, the whole point of the service contract). Subsequently, the technicians went through the motions however it seems that they didn’t feel that ‘checking the crawlspace’ also meant that any caught rodents should be removed. Decayed corpses were found not by Whitworth but by insulation contractors when we were getting bids. When you’re paying a premium for someone to check your crawlspaces for rodents, you trust that they are actually(a) inspecting the space and(b) removing any rodents caught. We were wrong to trust Whitworth. It took a couple of phone calls but finally Michael Batten came to put things right. He actually inspected the space and took some actions to prevent rodents from entering the crawlspace. Much appreciated — but why wasn’t this done from the get-go? He also set up a couple of extra checks to ensure that no further rodents got in the crawlspace. And who was assigned to carry out these checks? the same technician who didn’t bother removing the rodent corpses in the first place. This guy says we are now rodent free… but we have no reason to believe him. Also: a different technician said our contract didn’t include moths so took no action when a tapestry was infested. Later, we found out the technician lied to us. we *were* covered for moths — but by this time the affected tapestry had disintegrated.

These guys are the best, they take the time to answer any questions I might have and provide advise too. The girls in the office are great. Everyone is pleasant and friendly. I’d recommend Whitworth Pest Solutions to anyone, they’ve been taking care of my place for years, keeping it pest free and my yard looking great!

I had wonderful experience with Whitworth, among all the pest control companies I called(about 6 of them), they are the most knowledgable and most responsive. Showed up on time and did 2 treatments separately over two weeks. Very honest, good price, and nobody tried to sell me anything else that I didn’t need. Other contractors tried to get me to buy all sorts of other stuff and Whitworth never did anything like that, excellent service and results. I trust them and would use them again! I do notice that they have a different phone number on their website than from this Unilocal listing, it is(888) 959‑1818.

Absolutely awesome!!! I attempted to cancel my initial consultation last minute since I started trapping the«mice» myself. Mike was very nice and requested to give his input even though I started leaning towards having our dirt basement finished instead of going on a pest control program. Mike helped me understand that my «mice» issue is really a RAT issue and explained some of the services he provides. He helped me form a plan for trapping the rats myself while I gather information on finishing my basement. I would absolutely choose Whitworth Pest Solutions and Michael Wachtler if this was the right fit for my situation. Definitely meet with Mike to see if he is a good fit for you!!!

I have no idea what these guys charge. That’s amazing! Twice Art has come to our house to inspect 2 different pest problems we found(years apart), and twice he has explained that we don’t actually have an infestation, what the bugs we’re seeing mean, and what to do to prevent them from becoming a problem. Both times, he has done a thorough inspection of the whole property — house, 2 outbuildings, and garden — looking at every little concern we pointed out, pointing out concerns of his own, and advising us on what sorts of minor repairs we need to do to avoid problems in the future. He spent an hour with us today and didn’t charge us a cent. Inspections are free! Both times, a less honest guy could have sold us some story about how we had a big problem, and we probably would have bought it and signed on for who knows what. But Art didn’t do that at all. Instead he saved us money by pointing out repairs we need to do before a problem becomes big. He also told us a few stories of how they’ve solved some cases other companies couldn’t, to illustrate why we need to cut trees & plants back near the house, for instance. If you need a really honest pest company, who will take time to listen to your concerns and educate you, this is the one. I believe they would also solve a problem once and for all. Art says they get the majority of their business through word of mouth, through referrals. I can see why.
