Customer service is great! The food is good and they are always willing to cook something even when they are closing!

Okay it isn’t fancy and it isn’t a huge variety but it is clean and mama always has a pleasant greeting for you and sure some of the tempura is a bit soggy but everything else has flavor and tastes good for a small town, marine corps base restaurant and it is priced well for what is offered. Those of you who gave one star I urge you to look again because this isn’t a fancy place and for $ 14 what do you expect?

Went in for the lunch buffet and was thoroughly underwhelmed. Luke-warm food, and a minimal variety. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING was bland. Notably amiable workers, but terrible business.

Had a private party for my husband’s 50th! It was awesome! The food was excellent! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and they even had karaōke for entertainment! :) Highly recommend for private parties!

This place isn’t the worst or best. I went for lunch and it was ok, a different alternative that McDonalds. Read W M.‘s review, he explains it all.

I wasn’t too impressed. I came in at the end of lunch time, and wanted to order sushi, but the lady basically refused, and wanted me to eat the remainder sushi of the buffet special. Being extremely hungry, I caved. It was extremely small portions, and bland. Won’t be coming back.

Looking at the other reviews I must say that it is important to put the comments of others into a specific context. Quantico Garden is one of a number restaurants in the Town of Quantico that serves a specific active duty and government contractor population. It is simply a lunch time alternative to the McDonald’s on the Marine Corps Base. It is simply a «fast» food restaurant. You can be seated, eat and paid in less than 20 minutes if you are in a rush. For less than $ 15(incl tax) for an all-you-can-eat korean and sushi buffet with a soda or $ 12 for just one or the other it is not as bad as others have made it out to be. The person making the sushi behind the counter makes about 12 different nigiri and sushi rolls. Like a lot of «cheap chinese» restaurants the food may not be as healthy for you as truly authentic korean or Japanese but still a very good deal. It is not typically crowded after 2pm due to the lunchtime crowd not being at its height. If you are a «Sushi» snob then you will not be happy but, if are satisfied with supermarket sushi you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality and cost of the food. All around a decent restaurant. P. S. After eating there quite a few times over the last 7 years I have never gotten sick after eating there.

How is this restaurant still open? I live on base and wanted to try this restaurant out because it’s more convenient to eat on base than to go off base. I went during dinner time on a weekday and the restaurant was almost empty(only two other tables were occupied.) Even though they weren’t busy, the service was lousy: the waitress took a long time to take our order, my water was never refilled, I had to hunt down the waitress to get the bill, etc. There were several tables that had never been cleared from earlier, adding to the feel of a dirty restaurant. Our table was so sticky my arms kept sticking to it and I couldn’t rest them on the table because it was so gross. We should have just left. The buffet looked very unappetizing and was covered in saran wrap. We had gone there specifically to eat sushi. The waitress acted surprised that we didn’t order the buffet. After we ordered the waitress told us that they didn’t have most of the items on the sushi menu, so we changed our order. The food did not look fresh. The only good thing I have to say about this restaurant is that I didn’t get food poisoning. Next time I will drive off base!

This is by far the absolute WORST place I’ve ever«attempted» to eat at in my life! The place was almost empty, which should have been my first clue about the food quality. If I could give this place no stars, I would. There was a party of 5 of us who were at USMC Quantico for a conference and not being familiar with the area, we went into the very small(tiny) town of Quantico looking for a place to eat dinner. We came across this Quantico Garden(it’s far from any garden) and thought we would try it. All they have is a small buffet line. After looking at the food, that should have been our second clue to RUN out of the place. No other customers, just us… and I now know why! But, like hungry fools we decided to stay. I obtained some VERYOLD, VERYDRIEDOUT and VERYSTALE food items. Possibly cooked for lunch time or perhaps leftovers from yesterday or the day before that. It was by far the worst food I’ve eaten, anywhere! A can of dog food would have likely tasted better and certainly been fresher. And then the lady manager or owner tried her best to assure us it was all fresh, as she said«just make it.» Then after some arguing she admitted some items should have been pulled. Obviously this is their standard procedure and we called her on it and she didn’t know what to do. But she sure wouldn’t discount the bill any… we paid $ 10 each for a plate of «slop» that we couldn’t even attempt to gag down. I wonder if anyone has contacted the local health department about this place. Think I’ll try to find them. From reading other reviews, doesn’t look like we were the only people to find this place terrible… seems to be the norm. Don’t let the pictures here fool you… it isn’t even close! If this is part of the USMC Base, why are they allowed to operate in this manner??? If it’s not part of the base, the entire base population should stay clear and close them down! It gives the beautiful Quantico Marine Base a bad name. Stay clear from this joint… Don’t even walk in the door… you will regret it!!!

When trying to decide where to go for lunch today, my fiancé(who works on base every freakin’ day), was of no help. I sadly did not have time to look at Unilocal first, as this was unexpected. So unfortunately, we ate the Quantico Garden, which bills itself as Korean & Japanese food. The place was empty, and as it was almost the end of chow time, am not sure if that was the reason or because the food is awful. It is buffet style(at least for lunch) and sushi is offered. Most of the food was warm, some was cold(when it should not have been). Everything was super greasy & swimming in oil. The noodles were creamy(needless to say, I did not touch). Fried chicken teriyaki did not quite look like chicken when bitten into, and chicken wings were fried, battered, and then fried. There were crock-pots that looked as if they had been brought in from someone’s home. Some sauces had random things floating in them. It was not all bad though: noodle spring rolls and fried rice were OK, and service was friendly. But I would never return, and recommend that you do not either.
