I called Rachel’s on a Friday morning, needing 16 cupcakes for a birthday party the next day. My bad for waiting until the last minute but life gets busy. I knew I wouldn’t be getting anything custom and was ok with that. I was also ok with simple chocolate/vanilla with basic butter cream. What I did not expect was $ 56 for 16 cupcakes that were so dry and crumbly, I have to assume they were several days old(at least) and didn’t even fully fill the paper cup. There was literally more frosting than cake… yuck! Even our teenage guests were scraping off the frosting. The location is convenient and the cottage feels is nice. Not much selection in the case but it was nearing close on a Saturday. I much prefer to support local but it will be difficult to get me to try Rachel’s again.

I needed to take a dessert to a meeting today, and stopped in to grab some baked goods. I purchased some chocolate chip bars, and they were absolutely delicious! Everyone was raving about them at the meeting. I was also impressed by the personalized customer service. They cut the bars up for me, arranged them on a plate and wrapped them up for travel to the meeting. I will definitely be supporting this local business in the future.

Oh my gosh, I worked with Rachell for over a month sending her pictures of cookies and a cake that I wanted for our annual Halloween bash. My husband and I went in on the day of the party to pick up the Ouija board cake and spiderweb cookies needless to say the Ouija board cake was horrible and here is a picture of the spiderweb cookies that I could not even use because they continue to melt and had a plastic spider on them. $ 65.00 ouch very poor quality. I refuse the cake it was that bad.

Never again! I had left a glowing review. As a customer I have to update it. Not much of anything is really homemade. And if it is, I can do better. Dry, from a box or thaw it out and serve it. That’s not homemade and is dishonest to claim it is. I saw some of the same things in their case as Costco. Makes me wonder. The last few times we’ve been things have been dry, flavorless and just lackluster. The case has had a limited selection. It’s gone down and it makes me sad to see. It had such potential. I won’t waste my time on the drive or the money. I’ll find a new place closer to home.

Amazing bakery to visit, well worth drive from downtown Phoenix. I grew up in the Bay Area and Rachel’s croissants are best I have ever tasted. Previous visit took home a quiche, best meal for a quick heat up during warm summer months. Highly recommend Spinach quiche. Staff is warm and welcoming. Tables to sit and enjoy your pastry with coffee. I will definitely return for another visit.

I love local mom and pop places. I pass Rachel’s bake shop all the time and decided to give it a try. I walked in on a Thursday morning and was pretty disappointed in the selection, service, and display here. I was looking to purchase a pie, cake, or cookies… Something for a group of 10 people. But the display was a pretty skimpy selection. I asked if they had a whole pie and the lady helping me said she didn’t think she had any more. I just looked around confused and she said they have some extra things in the back, like salted caramel bars and butterscotch bars. I said«that sounds good. Can I get six of each?» And her response was«whoa, I’m pretty sure we don’t have THAT many». Haha, seriously? You don’t have six of the same item? She brought me back what they had, 6 of one type and 4 of the other. Total came to $ 32 which seemed a bit steep. The treats were pretty tasty, nothing outstanding though. Also, before my order was ready, the gentleman in front of me was paying for his stuff and the lady told him that he purchased enough items in the loyalty program to qualify for a free cupcake. Lady: «Do you want the free cupcake today?» Man: «No thanks, I’ll get it another time. But just curious, do you have any cupcakes? I didn’t see any in the display.» Lady: «haha, actually I don’t think we have any more around…» Really? Anyway, just kinda weird. You’d think a bakery would have some cupcakes left. If you are looking for a place with a good selection, this is not it. If you are OK with the last expensive slice or scrap of something that tastes pretty good, then this place will work for you. In short, it seems to me that this place has good ratings because it’s pretty much the only sweet bakery in Queen Creek. I would love though to see this place improve and will update this review if I see that happen!

I tried Rachels Bake Shop a couple months ago, it was fantastic! I love love the lemon blueberry bars, I bought cupcakes for a friend who just had a baby. She loved them. They are very friendly, and helped me take my goodies to the car as I had my hands full carrying my son in his carseat. I also had their Half pumpkin, and half Pecan pie for Thanksgiving last year. It was a hit my family devoured it. It was soo good. I look forward to ordering it again this year :-)

This is my favorite bake shop! Rachel is an amazing business lady and is always friendly and ready to help. She has the best selection of Gluten Free baked goods I’ve, literally, ever seen. Always delicious food, coffee and fun. Thanks!

I visited Rachels’ shop in March and can’t stop thinking about the gluten free brownie cookie sandwich with brown sugar frosting. Amazing!(and I don’t usually choose gluten free, it just looked so good!!) The brownie cookies were chewy and so chocolatey. I didn’t think I’d like the grainy brown sugar frosting but turns out, it was the perfect compliment to the bitter chocolate. LOVEDIT! Wish I lived closer and not in CA. So sad.

I’ve never met Rachel or been inside the bakery, but I do know she can bake! I had the pleasure of enjoying one of her custom made, gluten/dairy free, birthday cakes! She even made the frosting camouflage for my warrior spirit. :) Thank you, Rachel for not letting my dietary issues get in the way of celebrating my birthday. I highly recommend Rachel’s Bake Shop for gluten free goodies. She also has the gluten kind, too, but trust me, go gluten free; you’ll thank me.

Good cupcakes! Nothing amazing, but really good… Nice and moist cupcakes, with excellent frosting. The cupcakes are a bit small, and the highlight is the frosting rather than the actual cupcake. So I would prefer a tastier, more substantial cake, but keep the frosting as is! :-)

Rachel’s is delicious! Her food is to die for and her coffee fantastic! There’s no need to ever drink Starbucks again after you’ve had hers. Rachel herself is an awesome person as well. Good customer service AND quality products are hard to find :) If I lived closer I would be there every day!

My favorite are Rachel’s homemade cinnamon rolls they are only Friday and Saturday and they go fast so get there early. The frosting is vanilla bean very light no cream cheese taste. My son loved her gluten free whoopie sandwich brownies. Her chocolate croissants are to die for. She is very creative. My husband ordered me a small cake for our anniversary and it was excellent very Cutely decorated. Her case is not always full best thing is to order as a special order. Also want to mention her twix cookies sandwiches. Shortbread cookies with salted Carmel and chocolate filling, yum! I’m so happy she is located in Queen Creek not to far from home. When I am craving something sweet. The owner Rachel is very personable and friendly you will see her there all the time. It’s a little expensive but consider a fresh sweet treat. Hey you decide if it’s worth it. Enjoy.

Service is friendly. The shop is very small with limited items on display. We’ve had the chocolate pie, which was quite good and a coconut cream pie. The coconut cream was ho-hum. We ended up throwing it away because it simply wasn’t worth the calories. The chocolate we would order again.

I always prefer supporting local small businesses so I was pleased to find Rachel and her bakery so close to home. When I told Rachel my son wanted a zombie cake, she shared many options with me, suggesting ways to personalized the cake to make it truly unique. My son was excited about the finish product, and it tasted delicious too!

My wife brought me home this turtle item with nuts and it was totally delicious. The taste was definitely much better than other options that are out there. My wife commented on how much she and our daughter enjoyed their items(bear claw and a circus fun cup cake).

I went here Wednesday after my kiddo’s skateboarding lesson and it was FANTASTIC. Rachel is such a sweetie with a great, bubbly personality. She is so warm and friendly. Even though my daughter and I went toward the end of the day and the case was not completely full, RBS still had what we needed: a cupcake for the kiddo and a piece of turtle cheesecake for me! Oh — and my kiddo got a bear claw for the morning! I was also able to pre-order a coconut cream pie for Thanksgiving. Yay me! Rachel has pics of cakes she has made and the kiddo begged me on the way home to let Rachel make her birthday cake. I loved RBS! I am so lucky it is less than 10 minutes away from AZ Grind Skate Park where my kiddo takes her skateboarding lessons. I will definitely be back! I highly recommend you visiting Rachel’s Bake Shop when you are in Queen Creek or the surrounding areas.

I love this bakery. If you blink you may miss it as it’s in this cute little house. Rachel is so good at selling her products and informing customers about what she used to bake them with. I can’t live without the german chocolate brownies. These alone will keep me coming back again and again. Can’t say enough great things about this place… oh and the cupcakes are amazing too.
