Every other month I go to this fish market and the fish is always fresh! The prices are very reasonable and just in case you are low on cash. there’s a Chase bank right on the corner. I had watched both Sharknado 2 and 3 to see how bad (yet funny) those movies are. then had to come to Sophias Fish Market to get fresh shark. I’ve never had shark before. I cooked it. ehhhhhh not for me. I had to try it. Ok getting back to this review… hands down. the best fish market in the Queens Village, Hollis, Jamaica and Springfield Gardens area! Oh yeah… before I forget… the fried fillet sandwiches are delicious!

Been coming to this fish market for years! They provide the cheapest seafood for takeout in the neighborhood!
There’s no minimum to steam just an additional $ 1 fee if it’s under $ 10. I always get a large amount for the price I pay; tonight I got 5 large tilapia fillets steamed with old bay and garlic for only $ 11! And it was ready in about 15 minutes. They always make sure to show you your completed food before they bag it up, just to make sure your happy with your purchase.
Definitely a spot to check out!
Oh yeah! I think they stop steaming at 7pm so get here before then
