So I’m back. I was craving rice noodles for lunch today and I knew this was the place to go. It takes a while to get noticed to place your order because the two man team has their backs to you cooking. I got the beef fried fritter rice noodles. It was so crispy and the noodles were cooked right. I also go the wonton noodle soup. You get 5 stuffed wontons, unlike most places that serve wontons with a sliver of meat. The meat had mushrooms and pork. It definitely tasted home made and didn’t have msg. They also didn’t skimp out on the noodles. Would come back again and again.

In the supermarket. They open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rice roll is freshly made and the owner is super friendly. The wonton noodle soup is light, which I like for breakfast. I asked for extra veggie and the owner didn’t charge extra. Very nice of you!

Be prepared to have your order taken after everyone else has ordered and gotten their food. The guy taking the orders will actively avoid making eye contact even if you politely ask to place an order. Maybe i need to learn Chinese! It’s unfortunate because if this place is a sign of the food court to come, it will be a disaster. Or maybe not. Another thing: The cook cooks with bare hands, washes his hands in a wok that he uses to keep his strainer, and seems to have no understanding of basic hygiene. One look at the floor will tell you what kind of nasties are hiding. I’m surprised they haven’t been shut down. Maybe since it is within the supermarket they don’t get an individual letter grade.

Nestled inside the supermarket, this place serves delicious dimsum, soup noodles, and congee. Definitely the town’s best Chinese food. My mom went to town, ordering enough food to feed a small army. You can order food to go or eat in. The tables are located right up against a rack of food that they were selling in the supermarket, but who cares, the food was that satisfying. I’m getting hungry just reminiscing about our lunch outing. Super bonus points because its quite cheap. I came here with my parents when I was visiting them. My parents live not too far away from there but its definitely out of the way for most people. It saved us the trip to crowded Flushing. There was plenty of parking outside. The entire shopping complex is a relatively new development in an area they are trying to revitalize. We talked to one of the people who ran the shop and he said they were expanding. Definitely come if you can for authentic Chinese food. I’m definitely going to eat there whenever I get the chance to go back home.

This is my favorite place to get fresh made rice noodle. Price is reasonable and you can add all the soy sauce you want.

I haven’t got a good rice noodle roll in New York for long time. So gladly they start the business over here. Their congee is up to the par too. PAY extra FORTHEIRHOMEMADE meat ball.
