Rude staff(only one, no one available after 10pm) rooms feel more like jail cells Than hotel rooms, so far I’ve seen a few bugs in the room but I guess that’s quilcene for ya. I’d avoid this place if at all possible, it’s more like a hostel than a motel, and the walls are incredibly thin so I doubt you’ll be sleeping

Clean, quiet cabin. Although basic, it was in good repair, and had what anyone needs for a quiet, pleasant stay: microwave, fridge, tv, coffee maker. You bet we’ll stay again.

The place is clean, easy to find and absolutely charming! Our king room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ceiling fan. The bed was comfortable and the towels clearly smelled of fabric softener, very homey and appreciated. There are several sit and relax«hidey-nooks» on the property to find. There are friendly cats on the property, one sweet friendly pup who lives with the owner, and our room had a view out back that was beautiful. Mountains I the distance and behind us was a happy brown horse named Cocoa and a sheep named Flip. Clean, comfortable, Very quiet, serene, and this was our second stay. We already have our third one booked.

The only spot in town could easily be a lousy spot in town, but not this place. Our room had the bare minimum, but it was clean and obviously well-cared for. I’m giving this four stars like I would stay here again in a heartbeat four stars… not four stars for the luxury spa at the Ritz. The people are super-friendly and the more I looked around the room the more I realized how many things have been updated; including a brand new shower stall and linoleum flooring so I didn’t have to get skeeved out by yucky old carpet. Bring your own hair dryer. You’ll find shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in one of those handy dandy dispensers in the super-clean shower. Like I said, it’s the bare minimum but we were very comfortable here.

This is a nice little escape from the city that does not cost much. There isn’t a lot near Quilcene, unless you like nature. If that is the case then there are tons of great things nearby. The rooms are simple and inexpensive, but very clean with nice flower arrangements outside. The grounds around the hotel are lovely and well maintained. The owner/manager is very friendly and gave us some good tips on the area. Logger’s Landing, a great place for breakfast is right next door. The Olympic Timberhouse an amazing place for lunch/dinner is a 1 minute drive. Staying at the Mt. Walker Inn you are compelled to hike or drive up Mt. Walker which can be seen behind the rooms. This was a nice discovery and I look forward to returning.

Clean, affordable and really cute. It’s nothing fancy, but it has everything you need to pass a comfortable night during your 101 road trip. Immaculate – clearly well cared for. There is a good restaurant right next door too!

My daughter and I stayed here during a recent motorcycle trip. This is a very nice Inn. Our room was very clean, comfortable and extremely quiet. The lady that checked us in was very friendly. This place is an excellent value when compared to motels in the larger towns to the north. The restaurant next door(Logger’s Landing) was recommended by the nice lady that checked us in. Fantastic food, especially breakfast.

Mount Walker Inn is the *only* lodging accommodation in the small town of Quilcene, WA– and for many miles in either direction of Highway 101 from the town. Luckily, this is a great place to stay with clean, comfortable rooms, a great location, and an awesome, friendly, and helpful owner/manager! The rooms here are pretty basic: one or two beds, shower, cable TV. There’s a shared refrigerator available for keeping your beer(or whatever) cold. There are also rooms with kitchenettes available. Compared to staying at a motel in a larger city, the rates here are CHEAP! The location couldn’t be better: Mount Walker Inn is located right on Highway 101 at the edge of town and next door to the Logger’s Landing restaurant(another excellent establishment; serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks in the bar). The rooms are set far enough back from the highway(in a 30 mph zone) so that traffic noise isn’t really a problem here You can park your vehicle about 5 feet from the door to your room, and the back side of the motel building is surrounded by evergreen forest. Great views of the nearby Olympic Mountains on a sunny day from here, too. Sweet!

This was a great place to stay if your in the area. I am always concerned about a clean room especially at the smaller places and this place exceeded my expectations. Even the room smelled clean which is hard to do in such a damp environment. There was also the faint smell of bleach on the sheets and towels, just enough so you know it was cleansed, which I like. They even service the room daily! Beyond #1– Cleanliness… This place is Charming, our backdoor is filled with the forest and we even picked some fresh blackberries– yum. The owner is very nice, hot water is great, great to have a kitchenette and there was basic cable. Love it! My dad has a summer property not far, we will definitely be back and be regulars. Great to see small business doing great out here. Don’t hesitate, you will be happy! Oh and did I mention free WiFi– great for looking up all the great trails down here, THANKYOU. And DO not miss the Timberhouse, some of the best food I have had period. Not to be passed up and its just down the road!

You’re looking at an hour or so to anywhere else for a hotel. It is a nice, clean, quiet and comfortable place. Not the best western or anything like that, but if you’re exploring the area or working or visiting family, this is a great place to stay. The owner is a delight to all as well. Everything was clean and comfortable.

My grandparents stayed at the Mount Walker Inn(since it was the Maple Grove and owned by the Clubb’s) so many times, and they have always had lovely stays. I’ve even had my own room at the Mount Walker Inn a few times myself. Once when myself and my Chicago roommate flew into Seattle to surprise my mother at her 50th birthday party in Quilcene and once because my parents weren’t going to have time to prepare my childhood bedroom for my stay while I was home for my little brother’s graduation. I adore it. The rooms are like little cabins, each with their own front porch with wooden furniture. I love just chilling out there. They have decent water pressure, hot and cold water, comfy beds and cable television(though I wouldn’t expect anything like MTV — you don’t get this channel in Quilcene unless you have a satellite). What more can you ask for? They will accomodate your arrival at any hour(I arrived very, very late one night and the owners simply woke up and checked me in(they live on the property or at least they used to) and they are really, really nice. Logger’s Landing(the local greasy spoon diner) and it is a short walk to anything and everything else that the town has to offer. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that it’s actually pretty pricey from what I last remember! But still cheaper than what you will most likely be used to.

My husband and I love to stay here. Close to great hiking, oysters, rivers, morning coffee and the Puget Sound. Not far from the Hood Canal Bridge, Port Townsend and Sequim. Great hospitality and very pet-friendly! We always have a great time.
