We had Imperial Terrace on a Saturday 2016. Very yummy. Not overly oily. I enjoyed the chicken wings, Spring rolls and pork fried rice. The revolution Diet… Chicken and veggies. Super good and healthy. It is lower on flavor but I just added a little pepper and garlic.

Not what I was expecting at all. Imperial terrace was recommended by a friend but I didn’t find anything to be good. The lo mein was super dry, all of the food seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. If you are in the area, I would choose another chinese food place to order from.

I love this place and have been coming here for years. My favorite dive style bar in the area. Great staff and«american style» chinese food. The atmosphere is unbeatable and worth a trip alone.

I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember. The food has always been great, the best, in my opinion. The staff are so friendly and the food is ready so quick. My recommendation: the scallion pancakes with the spicy vinegar sauce. I’ve been ordering these for as long as I’ve been visiting this place and they are the best. Oh and just a little trivia, Kevin James filmed a scene here for his movie Here Comes the Boom!

I go to this spot a few times a month. Service is great, drinks are strong but not over powering and the food is fast but delicious. Was bummed on my bday the woman bartender told be ordering two drinks at one time was too much(I wanted an extra one cause she wasn’t paying us much attention) so for that I almost did four stars. Still love this place and one bad experience didn’t ruin the many good ones

It’s old. Like going back in time. Definitely not a trendy place. So it’s a good thing I don’t care about that. Just get my standard order, Peking Raviolis and General Gau’s chicken. The General Gau’s is the best I’ve had anywhere. Just the right amount of spice. Not too spicy, but enough heat to counterpoint the sweetness. Ace.

The fast, friendly delivery from the nice delivery guy of hot comfort food(for Paul – chicken&broccoli; for yours truly – tofu&veggies; for us – scallion pancakes&veggie egg rolls; & for days later – veggie rice as well as scallion&ginger low mein!) when I’m recovering from a cold(helped by the Wellness Formula, oregano sublingual oil drops, Umka cold care, B&T homeopathic cough syrup) was just what the foodie doctor ordered! I believe that 5-stars is well-deserved if only for the family/community ambience I always appreciate whether ordering over the phone or taking a brisk walk away from couch potatodom for a great neighborly feast at Imperial Terrace!

Not great. We ordered from this place on a Sunday night. Classic Chinese food order. Got some chicken, some lo mein, and a few egg rolls. Let me tell you, I’ve had some mediocre Chinese food in my day, but this place certainly knows how to ruin a meal. The food was cold when we picked it up. We live two blocks away. The lo mein was pretty much just boxed udon noodles drenched in soy sauce. The only saving grace was the bar. You walk into this place and it looks like movie set from a sleazy 1970s crime flick(or possibly adult film). Complete with tiki style furniture. I mean this in a good way. Seems like the type of joint where you can really tie one on with the regulars while they tell you how good they used to have it, before he war.

I’ve been in Quincy ~12 years now. I had never come here before, until I moved to the Sea Street area about 2 years ago. Hubs and I decided to check it out and we were decently pleased. Scorpion bowls are ginormous and dangerous. One might think that the scorpion bowl for 4 would be a good idea for 2. Think again. Lol. We left toasty and scorpion bowled out for sure. Food is filling and cheap. Tasty? It is to a degree. I end up dousing entrees in black pepper and hot oil before I dive in. I get dinner specials with white rice and Josh usually gets Szechuan tofu. Customer service has always been great!

Ya Know, the food is above average good, BUT the place needs an overhaul, in the 20 yrs Ive been going to Imperial they have never updated the joint and the last time I went I decided it was my last, as I waited for my called in order I had to go outside because it smelled like there was a sewage problem inside and those bathrooms have NOT been updated in the 20 yrs. I guess its about the almighty dollar

The décor is dated, but it works. The service personable and friendly! Szechuan style chicken fresh and packed with spice adored it! The scorpion bowls were delightful with a perfect mix of alcohol and sweet, but sour. The beef stick needed more tendering and a meat with more marbleization. Shrimp toast would be nice as well for the Pu Pu platter. Stir fry to a friendly four stars.

imperial terrace or imperial terrorist as we call it is good food. Its my go to place for new years when Im at home and not out partying. The general gau’s chicken is either awesome usually or it sucks depending on if your unlucky or not. The chicken lo mein is great. love the crab ragoon. the combo’s are a good price. and they will substitute items for like a buck. If you like to drink try the suffering bastard. i wouldn’t order there too late after dinner as it doesn’t seem to be as fresh if you order late. i think they make alot of the food earlier in the day for the rest of the day. for takeout a 2 liter of coke is like 4 bucks or something If I remember correctly. but I think its because they don’t actually offer it in the resteraunt and just swing by a convenience store an pick it up on the way or something. delivery time is reasonable. Its good quality food. the staff are pleasant. don’t blow all your money on the scratch ticket machine while waiting for your order.

I’m gonna give it five stars because I think the average rating needs to go up but I’d probably judge it at 3.5 legitimately. Give it a chance, it’s just like any other sit-down Chinese restaurant environment-wise and also has good food and great drinks. It would definitely be a better experience if more people were there, so go and bring friends. The poor waiters look bored and sad! And there’s no reason for it. Don’t let Unilocal haters steer you away from a perfectly good and nice place. For one thing the sesame chicken was very impressive, all lean real white chicken meat and the sauce even had some spice to it. Any cheap Chinese place that serves meat like that is A+ in my book. Crab rangoons, fried rice, and vegetable tempura were all very good too. Please give it a chance!

The counter help took at least five minutes before acknowledging us. The television was blaring as I watched the keno screen from a nearby table. The to go order seems to be done in record breaking time. They insisted on sweeping the dining area. The atmosphere at this time seems to be centered around the bar. The small dining area is too dimly lit.

Great place for Chinese food and a scorpion bowl. The general chicken is made with all white meat which is a plus and these people do not skimp out on portions! My only complaint is that they won’t except a government issued passport as a form of ID or out of state id to back it up which is a first ever for me. they have lost a good amount of my business due to this, also the older waiter gentleman is the nicest guy ever. dunno about everyone else there though they seem to not care about anything customer service wise.

Recently moved to the area from Houston, a city known for its rampant dining out and its diverse, delicious food offerings. I have my favorites and am actually hopeful to find comparable venues in Boston and the surrounding areas. Imperial Terrace, however, in all its Tiki lounge glory, does not make the list. We had just moved here and had been in town for less than a week. After yet another long day, we found ourselves hungry and cranky. Enter Imperial Terrace. Oh hell. Mediocrity appears to have set up camp here long ago and eventually became sheriff in town. I ordered one of the dinner specials — sweet & sour chicken, beef teriyaki and fried rice(w/choice of soup — I chose egg drop) — a basic combination that cannot go wrong. And it didn’t! It just fell flat, although the egg drop soup was actually acceptable(not too salty). The best part of my meal was reaching over to my partner’s dish of tofu and vegetables. Although the folks in the back of the house were obviously heavy-handed with the corn starch, the dish was still enjoyable. The dark parking lot in the back with a view of the cemetery across the street is apparently inviting to those who wish to engage in «backseat relations»(wonder why that couple left their lights on hmm…). Guess this place *can* be interesting, eh? This is a 2-star Americanized Chinese joint as the food was nothing special. However, I give it a murky 3rd star because the service was friendly, portions are large(still a bonus even if your dish is average) and reasonably priced, it is open late(which is uncommon ’round these parts, yes?), and I would actually order the tofu and vegetables dish. And who knows? Because it has an extensive menu, there might be some chance to make that 3rd star a solid one.

Well, it’s cheap.
Pan Asia was closed for the Fourth, so we set the Wayback machine and went back to The Imperial Terrrace. Lunch combo plate prices are in effect, even on Sundays. That is a good thing. Many other places bump to dinner prices, even early on Sundays. $ 5.75 gets you soup, an egg roll, pork fried rice, and your choice of something or other. That’s pretty cheap. Unfortunately, it is of low quality. Nothing tastes spoiled, but it is very uninspired. My Yu Shiang was just blah. She loathed her sweet and sour; said it was soggy and tasteless. Her drink was mixed with the worst vodka we have ever tasted. I don’t do cocktails, but she wanted me to try hers to confirm or deny her opinion. It was horrendous. I know well vodka isn’t Grey Goose, but good Lord, this was battery cleaner. The hot and sour soup here is reddish, and noticeably sweet, just OK. Pork fried rice is usually the norm at Chinese places, so it is handy in terms of evaluating places. I like it when places take pride in their pork fried rice, as does our normal favorite. This s****. The eggroll was OK. So… it depends on what you are looking for. Not everyone is looking for what I am looking for in Chinese food. This place could be a 4 to some folks. The value for the dollar had me leaning towards a 3, but she was most unhappy with her drink, and everything on her plate.
