Quite honestly, I wanted to hate this place. As soon as I was dropped off by my taxi, and the taxi driver questioned whether I had gotten the address right, I was welcomed by 8″ bulletproof glass, but a kind man on the other side of the glass. My room was actually ok. Hangers, towels, the bed(although had cigarette burns on the underside of the mattress) was fine and without bed bugs. But as I slept, I heard something scratching above my head in the ceiling… It was scratching quite hard, and was very concerning. The company did give me a full refund for the night, so I am thankful for that, so I’m giving them 2 stars because I hope they get better. Best of luck, but you may want to look other places.

Customer service was good and condition of the room was not bad at all. It is an easy walk to Wollaston station which takes you to downtown in 25 minutes, so location is very good. However, it can become very noisy in the early morning as the door next to the reception desk slams pretty hard(naturally) and makes a big noise that can wake up most people in a few minutes. Afterwards, it is simply impossible to go back to sleep with the constant door banging sound. For anybody who is not going alone, I recommend staying at a hotel in downtown. When you split the cost, I figured, it is about the same.

I’m sorry to see two very negative reviews for this place. I recently spent 3 nights here and wasn’t impressed but I can’t say it was a mistake. I’ll start with the good. It’s about a 3 block walk to Wollaston Station where the Red line will take you right into downtown Boston with connections to many other trains and buses. And on the way there is a coffee shop called Coffee Break Café. Great independent shop to swing by before you hop in the train. Quincy has plenty of HIstory of it’s own! If you have an extra day I suggest just spending it in Quincy. From the parking lot you have just another few block walk to KFC/Taco Bell. They have free wifi! Even at Red Roof Inn you have to pay. And finally President’s City Inn has a continental Breakfast! I love me some Orange Juice and Donuts for free! Now the bad. It is a little shady. I didn’t see the sign that said no refunds after 15 minutes. But I wish I had! I would have taken a photo of it! While Quincy is nice and quaint it is about a half an hour train ride to get to Boston’s south Station. The TV in the room wasn’t the best. There is no TV guide so you can’t find out what is on and you can’t change to a specific channel. You have to surf through all of them and they’re labeled wrong. ESPN was Food Network or something like that. Their continental breakfast that I was so pumped for! It closes at 9:30. So the first day we missed it. But there was a bagel and a couple chocolate muffins left. So the next day we woke up early! They had half a cup of orange juice left, bagel and a couple chocolate chip muffins. So the Continental Breakfast really stinks. And that Free Wifi! Stinks. It took about 12 – 13 tries till I got connected. Each day. So my review is completely honest. We didn’t feel in danger or grossed out at all. The rooms were nice and I got a discount through Starbucks so the room was only 92 a night. Reasonable. I’d suggest trying to find more than just 3 reviews of a place before you pass judgment. P.S. I found Orange juice at The Coffee Break Café! 12 Old Colony Ave Quincy, Ma

HORRIBLE!!! Police cars in the parking lot, dirty bathroom, noisy, noisy, noisy, room temperature questionable, much more. The point is… avoid at all costs.

Im giving this place three stars for a reasons. This motel has one purpose only, and it does a great job in providing it.

OK– are you listening? Do not, I repeat, do NOT stay at this place. The photos look great on hotel-booking websites, it seems like a very convenient hotel close to the historic center of Quincy, and the prices are definitely right. But this is not a place you want to stay. My story is that my parents were visiting me up here for the first time, and my mom asked me which hotel they should stay at. Going strictly by distance from my apartment, I told them that they should try Presidents City(hey, I live here! What the heck do I need to know about hotels for?). When they arrived, I got a call from my mother(who is very much a go-with-the-flow kinda lady). She said«We’re not staying here. There are no lights in the parking lot, there are cigarette burns all over the carpet, and a sign on the front desk that says ‘No refunds after 15 minutes.’ Sufficiently skeeved out, we set them up at the Marriott in Quincy instead. Apparently this place looked just like your stereotypical no-tell-motel. I hate to talk a local business down like this, but travelers should under no circumstances count on this place. Yes it’s convenient and cheap, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
