We had two haircuts, both had short hair. Without washing and blow drying we were charged 30 dollars each!!! That’s insane! The haircut is not good at all. Specially for men. Not recommended.

I was v underwhelmed. The haircut was ordinary, and Peter’s imagination was boring. I expected him to make the haircut look wow! But I ended up with meh! Not worth 45 bucks for sure. The salon is v clean, and the staff is polite.

The people are very friendly and welcoming. I felt very happy to go there and they did a great job! I used to do a similar hair cut — long layered every time in different saloons and I can see a great difference after my haircut here.

Very friendly customer service! Peter helped me dye my hair from a blonde ombré back to black, and it turned out great. It was my first time here and i’ll definetely be going back. At first, I was going to go Newbury, but I am so glad I went here because the prices were cheaper and the quality is still amazing!

Hidden GEM for sure! Peter is incredibly talented. The entire staff is friendly and extremely professional. I would recommend this salon to any of my friends. I’ve always been impressed by Peter and trust his scissors.

Just tried this shop for the first time and it wasn’t a bad choice! I went for a shave and trim my remaining beard and the barber I guess the owner itself took in charge of that. She didn’t do the same what I expected but the end result was impressive!

I have never gotten a haircut here before, but I am a dedicated customer when it comes to waxing. I’ve been getting my eyebrows down here since 2011 and I rarely ever get disappointed. I usually request Nina to do my eyebrows, but Nancy and someone else (I forgot her name) still do a great job. When the salon is not busy, Nina does an especially great job. I would always joke around with my friends and say that my «eyebrows on fleek» after every visit. I do not trust anyone else with my eyebrows. The atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly. Everyone seems to be very polite and enjoyable to talk to. Although I visit every couple of months, the employees still remember me which shows that they pay attention to their customers. I would definitely recommend this place if you would like to get your brows done. I believe the price is $ 11 dollars excluding tip, but I may be a dollar off.

Salon Neo is a hidden gem!
I never would have known about them if I had not needed a Sunday hair appointment (YES they are open on Sunday!!!) I gave them a shot based on all the great Unilocal reviews they had – I am so glad I did. The salon is clean and unassuming. My stylist was Peter. He was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. He worked with me patiently on determining the right style for my preference and hair type. He was so meticulous in his precision and attention to detail that I was completely blown away. I have never had a better haircut! Peter is an artist. I will definitely be back :)

I made an «emergency» appointment yesterday afternoon for this morning with Peter at Salon Neo, based on the great reviews. I realized last night (after they had closed) I needed to move the appointment to earlier. I called the salon prepared to leave a message and found someone still there who was super nice and was able to alert Peter to the moved appointment. I apologized for being difficult, and she assured me it was all OK.
This morning, I immediately felt at ease with Peter. I presented him with the big task of fixing a terrible haircut I had gotten a couple of weeks ago at another salon, and he rocked it! He spent two full hours shampooing, drying, straightening, giving me my options, and then meticulously doing the best he could to fix the mess on my head. His attention to detail and the effort he put in were so much appreciated, and I left with a FANTASTIC cut and also armed with style advice for the cut. I cannot believe he was able to make this out of what I had before I met him! (I would have been impressed with this cut if he had done it with a «normal» head of hair!) He is nice, interesting to chat with, and he seriously worked a miracle on my hair.
I’m already looking forward to going back! :)

I have been going to Salon Neo for quite some time now and I am so happy I found them! I was a notorious salon hopper, always trying out new places, but with Salon Neo, I’ve found my spot! Peter, Barbara and the entire staff are wonderful, so friendly, always greeting me by name and making me feel very welcome there. Love that its a one stop shop, I can have cut, color, eyebrows, mani/​pedi all at one place and I know that I’ll be happy with the results. Peter and Barbara are a great team and I hope they stay in Quincy for a very long time!

REALLY? I’ve never written a review of Salon Neo??? Wow, I’m a crappy customer.
When my last waxer burned half the skin off my legs right before a really important trip abroad, I turned to Unilocal since you all haven’t steered me wrong yet. I fell in love with Nina. she’s personable, efficient, and reasonably priced.
Salon Neo isn’t one of those über-​fancy salons you find in Boston, but it’s clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and they ALWAYS have a huge-​ass tin of those Danish butter cookies. They remember everyone, it’s kind of like Cheers when a regular walks in. Even my wife, who rarely goes in, is welcomed warmly when she stops in.
The people are right, the price is right, what more can you ask for?

If your looking to pay more for «atmosphere» don’t go here, otherwise the staff is friendly, efficient and so well priced!

Peter is awesome! He is the best barber/​hair stylist I have ever had. He takes his time and is very meticulous. He always makes sure that you are happy with your hair before you leave. He has always been able to accommodate my same day appointments. He’s is great with children’s haircuts as well. Very patient. The staff is very friendly and I always feel like family when I come. Unfortunately, I have moved out of the state but wish I was able to take Peter and the Salon Neo staff along with me, lol. Anyhow, I highly recommend Peter and Salon Neo to anyone looking for a great haircut.

peter is a pro at haircuts. i’m a really picky person and would pay top dollars for a haircut and time and time again i return to peter. he always uses scissors (sign of a person who knows what he’s doing) rather than razors and knows how to shape my hair so that it compliments my face and head shape.
i get tons of compliments for my haircut. even when i was in the fashion industry in nyc, i was getting compliments left and right and always had to tell ppl that he was in boston, unfortunately. peter can be pretty blunt if he feels like a cut won’t work out or if something won’t look good on me no matter how bent on the idea i am. he gives warnings but if you really push for the cut you want, he’ll give in. but i usually do heed his advice and they usually prove to be trustworthy.

totally worth the price. not $ 15 cuts, but definitely reasonably priced compared to many salons in boston.

Just moved to the Braintree area and was looking for a new salon, so after reading the reviews I decided to give Salon Neo a chance. It was so worth it.
I was a bit nervous going in as i have not changed my hair style in 10+ years. I walked in a bit before noon and they were able to get me in right away. I was seen by Peter, who I believe is the owner, He talked wit me for a bit to figure out what I wanted, even the ends, long layers and side bangs.
After getting my hair washed he took his time to blow it straight before the cut. When I say he took his time I mean it. Peter made sure what he was doing was perfect, I have never had a stylist like him before
From start to finish was about an hour and a half and was worth the $ 45 and the time.

Nina does the best brows around! The other women in the salon do a fine job also, but Nina is by far the sweetest!
Great for haircuts also. I have thin, fine hair that needs help in the volume department and both Julie and Peter have given me great cuts. Most recently, Peter gave me a cut that has gotten many compliments around the office. Peter’s rates are a bit higher than the others (+$ 5 or +$ 10), but well worth it!

Nina gave me the best eyebrow wax EVER. She was super friendly and did an awesome job. Such a bargain for $ 9! I’ve finally found my go-​to spot in Quincy.

I followed Peter to Salon Neo from the Oki Salon which was located in the Chinatown area of Boston. He is much further from me by train now, but well worth the trip to Quincy!
His work is amazing every time I go in to get a cut. He’s precise, takes his time, and always gives me what I ask for. I have short, thin hair, and he works wonders with it to build volume into the cut.
If you’re looking for a change of hair dressers, he’s your man!

Julie’s been cutting and coloring my hair for a few years now and I don’t think I’ll ever leave. she remembers what colors we’ve done in the past and the color has always came out great. In fact, this past winter she matched my original hair color so well that i never grew roots at all! When I’ve wanted to try something more creative in a hair cut or style, it’s not always been what I wanted, but I’ve never had any stylist accomplish that so I think the fault belongs to my hair.
Nina’s great with waxing too. I don’t have anyone to compare her to, though, because after hearing waxing horror stories I’m afraid of trying anyone else.
Reasonable prices and appointments available the next day or so.

I have my hair cut here by Nancy — -I am a woman with quite short hair — -and she does a great job. People always ask me where I get my hair cut! I don’t have to make an appointment weeks in advance, I can almost always call and get in the same day, and very reasonable prices. As a bonus, I can bring my small children (2 and 4) and staff are always very nice (and tolerant!) with them. Julie actually cuts my 4 year old hair, and his hair is not easy as he has a huge cowlick and very thick hair, but she does a nice job.
It is not a fancy spa type place, they do «dry» cutting with no shampoo as far as I can tell, but I have been a very satisfied customer since they first opened.
BTW, if you have trouble finding street parking there is a parking lot just a bit beyond on the other side of the street which I have used!
edited to add: we just brought our little 2 year old daughter there for a «bob» style haircut with Julie, and she did an EXCELLENT job — very straight lines, etc, so I will definitely go back for that!
