I needed headliner material for my car, and Mill Outlet Village beat the pants off of everyone else in town! Other stores quoted me $ 15 a yard, Mill Outlet was only $ 8.99! They were extremely helpful, and I felt even better supporting a locally owned independent business! They’ve been around for 27 years, lets help make sure they stay around another 27 years! Great place for 90% of what you need for home projects. Doesn’t quite carry everything needed for re-upholstering furniture. Wish they would stock/sell curve-ease(aka ply grip). But this store does carry vinyl printed table cloth fabric, gingham for apparel, BUTTONS, outdoor fabrics. For more home furnishing fabrics(not apparel), also check out Premier Fabrics on 1526 Wake Forest Road in Mordecai closer to central Raleigh. Great prices and colors. Will also custom sew certain items(e.g. pillows, padded headboards). While there, pickup a brochure/map of the new«Design District Raleigh»

Huge variety of upholstery fabric, including great prices on beautiful, quality remnants. Amazing trim too(tassels, cording, etc.). Great service. Parking can be a bear since the lot is small, and it’s on Capital Blvd so try to avoid rush hour.

The team here is the best! Cathy was so wonderful and helpful! The selection is by far the largest in the triangle and the prices are by far the best. Don’t look for coupons because you won’t need them! We will definitely be back!

What in the world am I doing in a Fabric Shop? Seems as if Hobie the Cat got in an argument with one of the pillows on my couch(His Couch?) and I’m in the Mill Outlet looking for a pattern that while popular 10 years ago is now a bit out of style. Along comes this nice little Lady that quickly finds my fabric among gazillions of patterns all over the store and makes recommendations for several folks that can reconstruct my pillow. I’m impressed; Hobie the Cat will be pleased!

If you are looking for upholstery fabric, then this IS the place to go. If you are looking at other types of fabric, then you would be better off driving down to Wake Forest road &440 area. They have some nice mirrors and other items too. The most off putting is the large population of elderly customers who put on too much perfume. Staff is nice and helpful. Getting out of here during rush hour is difficult at times, but not impossible.

Designers Design! If I see something I want(in a Movie for example) and it does NOT really exist or the price is not right, I’ll Design and build it myself and I have been doing so since I was a preteen! Nylon Thread ! ! ! This IS the ONLY Place I have Found Nylon Thread in the United States and I have only looked in the US! Maybe I did not know what to look for, anyway, they have it here AND If you are Building a Bag that can hold the weight of three Rock-Climbers you need to Sew-sew, NOT so-so, AND you better use Nylon Thread! Great Prices and Finds I’m not going to tell you about until I go back and Buy it before you do! I’m not going to tell you they had some GREAT Materials for Reupholstering your Favorite Love Seat to throw you off my Design inspired by the Luc Beeson Film«Leon The Professional»! I’ve told you way too much already Staff! I arrive looking kind of Homeless, Lunch stains on my white T-shirt and barely able to communicate an intelligible word and all but one of the Staff were Very Happy to be helping me and made sure I found what I was looking for!

I have never had someone with such a horrible attitude try and help me before. We took a piece of fabric on approval, drove all the way out here to return it and get our $ 25 refund. Their policy is they don’t do cash approvals and you must have your receipt. Realizing we did not have our receipt upon approaching the desk, explained our situation and this particular woman OHMYGOSH I have never in my life. She was so rude and belittling right off the back. And seriously lady get a LIFE, we get it’s your policy and could honestly care less about $ 25 but to be so incredibly rude and disrespectful to customers is just completely unacceptable. THAT is why people hire designers so they don’t have to deal with incompetent assholes like the dark haired woman with glasses that works in upholstery at Mill Outlet Village. Safe to say I will never go back there. Customer service is everything!

This place has been here as long as I can remember. The selection of different materials is the best around. The place is a bit outdated but it is clean and the staff is really nice and helpful without being pushy.

My sister lives at the Outer Banks, and has trouble finding things for her quilting projects there. She discovered Mill Outlet Village years ago, and she takes advantage of me living here and gets me to purchase things for her. Fortunately the staff there has always been very helpful to this poor guy who hasn’t a clue what I am sent in there to get. The business has been in operation since 1958, and has a great variety of fabrics and accessories.

Mill Outlet Village has a huge selection of home décor fabrics, and a very small selection of apparel fabrics. If you are recovering, reupholstering, or making curtains or pillows this is your place. They carry foam of many sizes, outdoor fabric, canvas, some leather, and tons of trims to match all that fabric. The prices seem comparable to other fabric stores. The staff was very helpful.
