This location is either poorly staffed or just has poor customer service. The location will not pick up the phone on Monday mornings or weekends. It takes numerous calls to get through or on some days, I give up after trying to call for half an hour.

This is the worst Einstein bagel location. The service had always been slow and the bagel selection spotty at best. The last straw was when I walked in at 8:45 on a Sunday morning and 75% of the baskets were empty. There were no bagels on the cooling racks and they were hastily getting them into the oven. Since there was a 30 minute wait for bagels I and the 10 other people in line walked out. I went to the Aero Drive location and was home eating my bagels 30 minutes later. No excuse for such poor planning and such slow service. This location no longer has my business.

Bagels are fresh and there are so many to choose from. We love the apple cinnamon and plain shmear. The choices are out of this world. The breakfast sandwiches are good as well. The turkey sausage could use some improvement, but the bacon one was good.

Poor customer service at this location. It seems every time I come here someone has a large order which holds up the order process for everyone else. Taking orders should be a #1 priority.

First off the bagels & various menu options are good at all the Einstein’s I have visited. The RB Einstein’s is quite entertaining for me. I like the Lox on an everything bagel no onions with a pickle. It happens, however the employee turn over at this RB Einstein’s location seems like a lot. So here is what I have found really fun over the last couple of years. I order Lox on an everything bagel, no onions please then I ask«can I get a pickle with it?» They repeat the order back to me and typically tell me it comes with a pickle. 80⁄20 rule … comes with onions on it and no pickle. No big deal I just pull off the onions and go without the pickle. 20 percent of the time they actually don’t put the onions on it … that’s cool and roughly it’s a 50⁄50 on the pickle. In general it’s a clean Einstein’s. Today I came at 11:30 a.m. and they only had garlic bagels and told me they will have some bagels in 10 to 15 minutes. Seriously NO bagels :-). The dude who informed me was nice enough an apologized. I ended up going to Bite of Boston next door which is a pretty cool place.

I have been here twice. love the one on Friars but here they take a very long time to complete order. I ordered two bagels one not toasted and they toasted it anyhow… then I found a maggot on my bagel so I will not be going back. I also came in a time before and they forgot some things. Also one of the ladies was eating while making food. huge no no!!! This place needs to go!

Bagels are good — customer service is SLOW. Can’t believe it takes 15 minutes to get a plain bagel with bacon. This is the last time I come here. One other thing… how can Brueggers be so quick to get the orders out the door… you never wait in line more than a few mintues for ANYTHING. This place(Einsteins) seems like they’re launching the Manhattan Project every time someone orders. Yes the bagels are good… but a little hustle by their workers would go a long way. They all look lost !!! I’m sending a note to the corporate office today about this location

Just tried to come here again after a horrible experience a couple weeks ago. Of course the line is out the door and they don’t have 90% of the menu. Unwilling to give me a rain check for when they actually have bagels. I’m done with this place and will be calling their corporate because this place is an absolute joke and one of the worst café/restaurants I have ever been to. You can’t advertise the $ 6 for 13 bagels if you can’t even produce enough bagels. Lost a costumer and many people I know.

Worst Einsteins I have ever been too! I have been waiting in line for 15 minutes no one is taking orders and they are running low on bagels and they have been very rude and snappy with customers! I will not be returning! Ever. I saw they had more bagels in the back and I asked the older lady I am assuming is the manager if she had any chocolate chip in the back and she didn’t even look at me she just said«NOPE!» In the rudest tone I was stunned.

The Bagels here are always fresh and hot. Just the way we all love them. The bagels get 5 stars every time. Some of the people in line need a rating. When you wait in a line, sometimes long, it is annoying to have someone not knowing what bagel they want to buy. ITIS A BAGEL. Take a chance, live on the edge for once. Just try any one, they are all good. If you do not know what bagel you want, take a seat and study the case. Maybe you are slow and need more time than others. It is not like picking a wedding dress, a car, or a house, ITS A BAGEL. The bagels for sale are in the case. If it is not in the case, it is not available at that moment. No amount of interrogation of the bagel tender will change that. Remember the line you waited in, it is now waiting on you so stop with all questions and just order. ITIS A BAGEL . As a last resort for those fickle bagel buyers, simply have the bagel tender select the most popular bagels for you. They are all great bagels.

Been going here for a while. It’s really hit and miss. We order the same thing every time and for some reason the amount of cream cheese is always different. We moved out of the area and it’s been about 3 months since we’ve been back… And we only recognized one employee from a few months ago. The blonde behind the counter shouldn’t be in customer service. There was a customer in front of me choosing his bagel based on what was in the basket. By the way, by 9am, there’s hardly any bagels left at this point. Customer: «Can I have a garlic bagel?» Blonde Employee: «Nope, no garlic, the onion bagels just moved over to the garlic side.» Customer: «Ok, how about an everything bagel, there’s 2 left.» Blonde Employee: «Nope, those are sold already.» Customer: Ok, I’ll just have a chocolate muffin He seemed pressured since the blonde had a look on her face and the line was out the door… Poor guy to the lady behind him, «I’m diabetic, but I had no choice !» It’s hardly worth it to go back since the customer service is not great, the bagels aren’t consistent and it’s just not in our area. Oh well, we’ll be finding our bagels elsewhere.

Normally you guys are really great, but today I spent $ 10 on a mocha, which your staff forgot about for about five minutes and never apologized for taking so long, and a dry, overcooked egg and cheese sandwich.

I always enjoy their bagels and coffee. Even on crowded mornings they keep the line of customers moving. My sole frustration is the WiFi. It used to be simple to log on. Now it is password enabled but there is no password to be had. It’s not on the receipt and isn’t posted in the store. I’m not about to be the jerk who holds up the line asking the employees to find the password.

The only good thing about this einsteins location is the employee Katie. She is nice and attentive. However, each time I’ve been in here for a bite, I’ve been disappointed. The order is wrong, or not up to my satisfaction. Today I ordered two bagels. One of them didn’t have a lot of cream cheese. I opened my second bagel up to compare and it had considerably more cream cheese. I asked for a side of cream cheese for my first bagel very politely. The employee returned and said next time I should ask for more when ordering because that was their standard amount. I was shocked that he would attempt to argue with me. Get it together rancho Bernardo einsteins. Fire some of the employees and hire the male manager at the Friars location.

They always have fresh delicious food, I love that they will make any bagel into a thin(great taste, low calories:). I recently stopped by to pick up several dozen bagels and coffee for an event(without preordering as it was last minute) and the staff was super helpful and quick and saved the day! Thanks Einstein’s we’ll be in again soon.

How can you go wrong with delicious bagels and yummy stuff on top? I really like this location. There’s never a line, the reusable cups are super cheap and adorable with mustaches all over them, and you can get out of there feeding two people for less than $ 20.

The service is always fast, but there only ever seams to be one worker actually working in the mornings. Next time I am in I will confirm her name but I am pretty sure it is like Sam or something like that. She works so hard I wanted to give her a tip on my last visit but she had to inform me that they are not allowed to accept tips. Other than that it is simply an average bagle joint. They are normally out of about half the bagle choices by the time I get there around 7:45 am on the days I stop in. The place is usually filled and the tables are normally dirty. But if you are just stopping in to grab a quick bagle to go it’s not a bad joint to stop at. It’s just a 50⁄50 gamble that they will actually have the bagle you are craving at the moment. I simply keep going because of the convince of location.

This location is very convenient to where I live so it is easy to drop in. It is not my first choice. Many times I go in and look at the bagels to see that they haven’t baked completely. They are pale and almost gummy. I don’t know if they are in a rush or what but LETTHEBAGELSFINISHBAKING! If i do end up placing an order I will ask them to fish around for one that has browned. The layout of the store stinks. It is small and the tables aren’t bussed often enough. There is a girl that I have ordered from that speaks so quickly that I have to replay it in my head to comprehend. Bottom line is if you want a GREAT bagel go somewhere else. If you are looking for something to just fill the void it will do. There is a mom and pop bagel shop a couple miles down the road that smokes this place. It may be a bit speedier but you get what you pay for!
