The sandwiches are ok, nothing to rave about. The bread isn’t fresh, and taste like it. There’s a descent amount of meat on the sandwiches, I’ve tried #26 the cougar and their tri tip sandwiches. It’s slightly better then subway, but worse then a lot of a which places in the Bay Area. The potato salad is bland, and overly creamy. Service was pretty bad, one girl making sandwiches another taking phone orders that is supposed to be a cashier. Note help customers in the store first, and then don’t take your time by doing other tasks while five customers are waiting to pay with their sandwiches in hand. I’ll be looking for another sandwich spot, don’t see who the rave reviews are from. Food lover beware.

So I never been here & like I do before I try or do anything… CHECK Unilocal lol. A lot of the reviews recommended«The Cougar» and boy did I make an awesome decision! Let’s start off with the bread! The Dutch crunch! It was sooooo good and that crunch I loved! It a bit hard for my fellow brace faces lol But that didn’t stop me. It comes with meat(turkey for me), Avocado, bacon, Swiss cheese, pesto, cream cheese, & produces. It was hands down the best deli sandwich I have had! Huge & so filling. Can’t wait to bring the hubby here! I think if the workers put on a smile or acted like they wanted to be there it would have been an even better experience. They weren’t ATALL rude, just no facial expressions or emotion lol.

The sandwich spot is more like the sandwich not. My wife and I deal with a dilemma every Friday night on what to eat, so for dinner and we thought we should try something new, by the end of the night we were disappointed. I found myself staring at 2 peices of bread with some cheese, lettuce and remnants of avocado. I’m not a cheap person by any means, but for $ 7 – what I got is disappointing and sad.

I love this place! Everyone that works there is always super friendly and always does a great job at making sandwiches. It is a tad pricy BUT you pay for higher quality products and you do get what you pay for. The bread is always fresh and I’ve been here when it’s been super busy and the sandwich makers still crank out sandwiches like nothing. Love this place and I’ll always be a returning customer.

Went here for lunch a few days ago. Thought it would be better because of the ratings. Needless to say, I was not impressed. My sandwich kept tasting weird and it ended up being the meat. It just had a funky taste to it. I didn’t even finish the sandwich. Willing to give it one more try, but definitely getting different sandwich.

Have you heard of the Sistine Chapel? It’s the definition of fantastic art. Kadie(the sandwich artist) somehow managed to take the same visual stimulation and feeling you get from something fantastic like the Sistine Chapel and put it in my mouth. Thanks Kadie!

Can’t go wrong with a sandwich from The Sandwich Spot! Their Dutch Crunch bread rocks and definitely has enough meat for this carnivore! Gotta grab a side of bomb sauce for dipping!

I couldn’t resist following the status quo and ordering the Cougar alla pastrami(in place of turkey) and oh boy was it well worth it. The woman making my sandwich also recommend I get it without mustard or mayo which was a great suggestion because the combo of pesto, cream cheese and the bomb sauce(which is just spicy ranch) was plenty. The combo of the creamy spreads enclosing hot juicy pastrami, melted swiss, and crisp tomatoes and lettuce is unbeatable. I’ve eaten at several sandwich spots and this just topped my chart. Close second and third place would be: The Judge and Thunderbird!

Had never been hear before, but this place is down the street from my mom who I was visiting. And wanted to get my boys something to eat, so we decided to stop in. They’re located in the same lot as California Family Fitness in Rancho Cordova, and share the same building as a drive-thru Starbucks! Inside this place reminded me of Mr. Pickles, and the menu was very similar. I ordered a BLT and my oldest son ordered something similar. My younger son wanted a grilled cheese sandwich which they didn’t have on the menu, but they are nice enough to make him one anyways. I thought that was very nice of the young lady making our sandwiches, since my younger son being 4. Is very picky, and wouldn’t want anything on the menu, unless it was plain.

I really enjoy the Sandwich Spot menu, BUT this is hands down the best of them that I’ve been to. All of the employees are charismatic, and make delicious sandwiches. They also don’t dick around and get the orders done in a timely fashion, which is a stark contrast to others I’ve been to where the wait can be ridiculous(no matter how few patrons may be there, ie you’re the only one and it still takes forever). If you’re familiar w/the menu, I suggest calling your order in and then heading over to pick it up as this place does get busy.

This is one of the best sandwhich shops in Rancho Cordova probably even all of Sacramento. Not only are the sandwiches exceptional, the staff is fantastic and the owner is amazing when you come in here you’re treated like family.

My fiancé and I went in today for the first time a were so happy we did. We are new to the area and were still sad that we lost our sandwich place in San Jose. My fiancé turned to me after two bites and said«babe. I believe we found our replacement for Ikes!». We both got the #26. It was incredible! We had so many options that sounded great but I’m very happy with our choice. My fiancé joked about going back tomorrow to get his 2nd choice. The place looks brand new, it is super clean, and the staff is super nice. I recommend trying these guys out ASAP of you haven’t already :)

The Dutch Crunch bread and Tri-Tip sandwich was very good. Loved the psycho sauce. Little pricey– but good food and service. Tri-tip sand which, chips, and med drink $ 12.00.

I appreciate the prompt and attentiveness the sandwich makers provided. However, it was a little too much and overbearing. To the point where I had to take my food and finish it outside on the neighbors front patio. I ordered the chicken and pesto special and thought it was tasty, largely because the bread was fresh. I had high expectations because the staff highly recommended it, but it’s not a sandwich I must have again anytime soon.

I was in the area showing homes and wanted to look for a place for a quick bite. I found this place on Unilocal and it had pretty good reviews so I decided to check it out. I ordered the Chevelle and added jalapeños and bomb sauce to it. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was prepared as I ordered it. It wasn’t as spicy as I expected it to be but there was some kick to it. I would definitely come back to this place if I am in the area again.

I often saw this place while visiting the kava bar next door but didn’t decide to go in until I read a review from fellow Unilocaler Jennifer S. talking about the infamous Cougar sandwich with pastrami instead of turkey. Her review made me drool so I decided to stop in today and give it a go. The modified cougar(which is not on the official menu, but I located it on a whiteboard) is pastrami, swiss, cream cheese, avocado, pesto, + veggies. I got it on the dutch crunch like she recommended. The cougar is the most expensive sandwich that I saw available($ 8.49 plus tax) and according to the cashier, the most frequently ordered. I would say that the service was so so. The girl who made my sandwich didn’t seem too stoked to be at work and the girl who rang me up for my food was very energetic. Overall I suppose they evened each other out. When I dive bombed in to my sandwich I discovered that there were only three measly slices of avocado on the whole sandwich and barely any cream cheese on one half. :(The bread was fresh and crunchy though and helped make up for it. The sandwich was a good size and could definitely be split by two people. I would say that I’d definitely give this place another star had they not skimped on the two ingredients that drew me to the sandwich in the first place. I know avocado is expensive but in my opinion so is a $ 9+ deli sandwich with 1⁄8th of an avocado. Hopefully next time I can experience the cougar at its finest.

This was my first time at this location. I had the Bel-Air. It was tasty. Overall I liked the food but a few tweaks could have made it better. The bacon was very thin, more like a hint of bacon. The avocado was almost non-existent. This was particularly disappointing to me because I love avocado and I didn’t really taste any. The overall amount of veggies was very weak. I have been to other locations and it wasn’t like this. Cheese was kinda half melted. Not bad but it would have been better if it was actually melted I think. I asked for bomb sauce but didn’t taste any. Like I said it was a good sandwich but it could have been great.

It’s all about the cougar, baby. My friend and I are kind of snotty when it comes to food, because we like to write about everything we eat on this website called Unilocal. So of course nothing on the menu was good enough for us, and we had to take an item that was already special, and make it even more special by substituting pastrami for turkey. So we have Dutch crunch bread, hot pastrami, pesto, cream cheese, avocado, and all the fixings, at least on my half of the sandwich. Oh my gosh, Cougar, I love you. I could eat you all day long. The line was not bad. The clerk was super awkward, and laughed between pretty much every word. She was like the short girl version of Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory– but the sandwich was so good that I forgot about that until I was writing this review and asked myself, «So, Jennifer, how was the customer service?» I know you’ve all been waiting for an inside glimpse of my review-writing thought process. You’re welcome.

I think Sandwich Spot is stalking me. After my visit to the midtown location, I vowed that if there was a closer one to where I lived, I’d divorce my beloved Mr. Pickle and become a Sandwich Spot gal. A few months later, a Sandwich Spot opened near us in East Sac. I kept my promise and frequently visited them. A few moths later, a location opened up down the street from my office! So I frequented there for lunches. Then I moved to Rancho Cordova, and guess what opened up here? AREYOUFOLLOWINGME, SANDWICHSPOT?!! Well, if I have to have a stalker, at least it’s one with fresh baked bread and quality meats. This location is no different than the rest: there’s a theme. East Sac has baseball, Power Inn has Vegas, and Rancho has classic cars. As with all the locations, the staff is friendly and the sandwiches are yummy. My go-to favorite is the turkey, avocado, and cream cheese: a combination invented in Heaven. It’s true, look it up. The prices are on the high side, but sometimes you just HAVE to have that garlicy-good bomb sauce, and no mere turkey sandwich will do. I know you’re following me, Sandwich spot. But I don’t mind.
