Came in today, first time getting a burrito from them. I got a hot rod burrito as my first time and they gave me a totally different burrito with chicken in it and since it was my first time getting a burrito from them, I didn’t know what I should be expecting. My friend that was sitting next to me saw me eating and told me that what I got wasn’t a hot rod burrito and I was already half way done so I took it to a waiter and she’s said but you already ate half of it and that’s it, she just kept repeating that. So all I can say is I’m never going back to that filthy one star Resturant again, good job on losing a customer.

Food: 5 stars tacos. 3 stars others. Tuesday $ 1 tacos. Sunday 0.60 $ tacos. Each meat had a distinct flavors. The red roasted salsa was excellent. The other salsas were good. The chile relleyno could have been better if it was fresh. We had an old cold one. No Bueno. Ask them for a hot fresh one if you order chile relleyno. Atmosphere: 35 stars. Large comfortable cafeteria like. Has both booth and table seating. Semi open kitchen for you to watch the actions. Service: 3.5 stars. Fast food service but very family friendly. They’ll bring the food to table when they are not busy. Otherwise you pick up at counter. Salsa bar is adequate with 3 types of salsas and pickle jalapeño. Expense: 5 stars. cheap. Cheap. Cheap. Especially 60 cents tacos Sunday. Even hobos can afford it here. So collect some change at the freeway exit and come hungry. Return: 5 stars. Already have. ‘Nough said.

My husband, daughter and I went here for the first time last night being that it was close to our house. First thing I noticed, was the AC was not running and for this 7 month pregnant lady that was not okay! Tables were dirty and they only had ONE high chair. It was being used when we got there. A high chair is an important deal when you have a 1.5 year old. There was a steady flow of ppl which is a good sign. The reason I’m giving this 3 stars is bc the food was actually good. Nothing super spectacular but it was good food. It’s literally 2 blocks from my home so if I wanted good Mexican food but don’t feel like driving a distance this is the place to go.

Food was good but it felt like an oven inside. Either the air conditioner was broken or they don’t have one. Still enjoyed the fantastic chicken nachos!

First off: the tacos on Sunday’s are no longer 50 cents but now 60! idk, 60 cents just does not have a ring to it. Also, when we ordered our tacos the lady asked if we wanted everything on it, we said yes. About 4 months ago everything meant onions and cilantro. Therefore when our number was called we asked for green and red salsa and the girl said uhm… you have to pay for it. So I said we never had to before and she said well we already put red salsa on the tacos Okay, if that is the case, how come we did not get the option for spicy or mild salsa? My boyfriend does not like the red salsa. You force your clients to eat the red salsa. At this point, its 9pm and I’m hungry so I do not fuss and just took the tacos. We get home and we are automatically disappointed with our tacos. They contained big chunks of onions and a splash of salsa. For spicy goers like me, I would like just a tad more than a splash. I feel like this place has become very stingy about the quality of the food and more focused on the money! this makes me sad because they used to be amazing! Also, they have a salsa bar displayed but did not have any salsa in there, probably because they now charge for it.

I had the three-taquito platter. The meat was pretty good, not too dry and not too moist. I asked for the taquitos to be lightly fried and it came to me harder than a rock. *annoyed face* The food is decent, nothing amazing. I think it’s a bit too bland here for me but I’m down to come back again if every Mexican restaurant in SoCal shuts down and El Ranchero is my only option.

Boyfriend stopped to get gas and I was hankering for some dinner. I have driven by this place countless times, and decided– hey, let’s give it a shot. The place is very clean and the workers were all very friendly. They have a little bit of everything on the menu, but I went with the Cucamonga Burrito with carne asada. I’m a firm believer in the idea that you can judge how good a Mexican food place is based on how much you like their beans and their carne asada, and I am pleased with both elements here at El Ranchero. It was filling, flavorful, and layered so that you tasted a little bit of everything in each bite. The have signs that say that their burritos come with onions and hot sauce, which normally I love. However, their hot sauce is definitely HOT– so for those who favor milder sauces you might want to ask for it on the side. But overall I’m very satisfied.

I’m super particular when it comes to Mexican food. I had a carne asada taco & taco de papa. The meat was great and not greasy at all. I ordered two more tacos but was too full to eat them. I’m definitely returning!

My experience here was good. First and foremost, the place wasn’t full, the service was pretty quick. The décor inside was nice. Going by reviews I was a lil iffy about the place but I had to experience for myself and it wasn’t so bad. The food was good not great GOOD. I will return when in the mood for Mexican food.

Somewhere between Ontario airport and Raging Waters, I got hungry for breakfast and thirsty for beer. But, alas, it was only 9am!(don’t judge) Thankfully, El Ranchero to the rescue! I washed down a delicious and inexpensive plate of huevos rancheros with an ice cold Negra Modelo. Okay, maybe it was more like two or three, but who’s counting? Breakfast and(many) beers for two for under $ 20?! Dear God I miss the Inland Empire.
