Had the Mahi Mahi over Black beans and it was really outstanding, as good as some of the very big expensive restaurants. The service was the best we have had there, can’t pronunce his name, but initials of server is D.J. Much better service than we had last time. The next time we will ask for him. Have to back and try the other items on the back of the menu, and my Dog loved her chicken and brown rice.

This is a cool restaurant where you can take your dog and both enjoy dinner as a family. I took my girlfriend and my dog here, they where both happy. They even offer food for your dog, chicken breast, white or brown rice. Some other choices were available as well, they bring your dog water. I loved it, I will definitely come back again soon.

The Lazy Dog was good, but didn’t blow us away. Get out your wallet if you’re going, because the meal was over $ 30 a person on food alone. I was skeptical to visit Lazy Dog at first because it looked like another generic chain with all the same«American» cuisine as the other ones, but after a friend recommended it, a few co-workers and I stopped by after work. Our waitress explained that the kitchen was a «scratch kitchen» and that everything is made from scratch. It wasn’t totally clear what that meant. I’m sure most dishes are assembled when ordered(like all restaurants), but what about items like bread and pasta? Regardless, it was somewhat interesting to hear that the restaurant has that focus. We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer as well as the sweet potato tots. The tots were plentiful and quite good. For dinner, I ordered the ahi tuna over cauliflower purée. It was delicious and I was shocked at how few calories it was. I think the true scratch kitchen concept came out in that dish. There were aspects of a large chain restaurant that showed through(like a HUGE menu), but this place won me over for the most part. I was a little shocked when the bill came because it was so expensive, so be prepared for that. Service was spotty and there were a few times where we couldn’t find our waitress for something.

We truly enjoyed this place! We almost ate here on February 7th but wanted to get to our destination in San Diego to enjoy the big game. Luck would have it we stayed in the same location on Wednesday night for our return home. The place was packed on a Wednesday night, which I love to see. We grabbed a small table in the bar and ordered a couple drinks. Not overly impressed with the lemons and limes in the white peach sangria so I switched it up to an Irish mule, made with house made ginger beer. Pretty yummy! They have an early and late happy hour menu that includes drinks and food selections, but we were right smack in between. So the menu is varied and extensive! There are several small plates and apps to chose from that could feed you for a very reasonable price. We started the meal with a small plate of Mac and cheese topped with a green onion crunch. It was delicious, I should have just had that for dinner. I ordered the Thai spicy noodles, which was also very good. The serving size was enormous! It was tasty but the rice noodles were a little soggy. Still delicious, but then my entire week caught up with me and All I wanted to do was get to bed. The server was great, got everything boxed up for us, we had it for dinner the next day and the tofu in it had the consistency of cream cheese after re frying, freaking delicious! Hubby loved his poblano chicken. Check out his review. Finally, the outside patio is gorgeous, even has heaters for the couple times a year it’s actually chilly outside in the IE. The patio is dog friendly! I love places that let you bring your well behaved fur baby to have lunch and cocktails. I REALLY wish we had a place like this in Reno.

We were all hungry for meat! Decided to go to a restaurant that did not have too much of a wait for a Saturday night… no such luck, but we did get lucky when a table became empty in the bar area! We quickly sat down & dismissed our 45min wait for a table in the dining area. We ordered drinks and food from our friendly server. It all arrived quickly. The food was good… nothing too exciting, it definitely filled our tummies. Prepared correctly, medium rare steaks, sweetened & spiced just right ribs, and tasty Unami fries. The sangria sampler was a win for me… should have ordered another!

I came here for my puppies first birthday party. I thought it would be appropriate since they allow dogs. We had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. The wait was about 10 – 15 mins long. After we sat down our waitress came over and told me I wasn’t allowed to pick up my dog to take a picture which immediately rubbed me the wrong way. She didn’t really have any emotion didn’t ask us what we were celebrating or even acknowledge it was a party. That was probably the worst part of the night. The food was ok nothing spectacular. I honestly wouldn’t come back here unless I wanted to take my dog out.

HUGEFAN! I am from Ohio and I want one of these back home. This Dog friendly spot is sure to quench your thirst with their local brews and Lazy Dog’s own beer on a fire hydrant tap! You can bring your furry friend to this place and sit outside with a special menu just for the pups. If you are a dog owner you must try this place out!

Had an extremely great experience at this lazy dog location last night! It was a 30 – 40 wait however, they came around and gave my boyfriend and I a complimentary slice of flat bread, which I thought was pretty awesome considering the fact we were starving! Our server was great as well, very knowledgable of the menu as well as extremely helpful! The food was also delicious, absolutely no complaints here. We were extremely satisfied with our visit and should’ve back very soon! :)

If they give you a «complimentary» appitizer make sure it’s complimentary like they say it is. Ended up on the bill somehow and my bf is none too happy about it. Aside from that… the food is good and the drinks are good. It kind of has the same ambiance as BJ’s. The butter cake is pretty legit.

I met my friend here for lunch a few days ago and had a decent experience. The service was actually really good… our server checked up on us many many times as we sat and chatted. The food, however, was kind of disappointing. It was a cold rainy day so I decided to order something hot so I ended up trying their chicken pot pie. When it arrived, it looked great and it was a huge portion but the taste of it was just okay. It just didn’t taste like chicken pot pie… more like a thick salty soup. I’ve been here a few times and the food always looks great but the taste doesn’t always match up. :( Parking: big free lot

I’ve been eating at Lazy Dog since the chain launched in Orange County years ago. Lazy Dog offers a great selection of fresh food at reasonable prices. The service is always good, and the service is always on point. Lazy Dog is a great place to eat.

First time here and it was wonderful! I came for dinner with two friends on a Sunday night. If you come around this time be willing to wait a few because it was packed. We waited about 10 minutes until being sat on the patio. It was a shorter wait for outside plus they have heaters so it was fine :) also, all the cute pups are on the patio so if you’re a dog person it’s perfect! The waiter asked if I’d been there before and I replied with no it’s my first time. He was wonderful and explained the menu. About 5 minutes later the manager came out with a garlic flatbread and said, «I heard its your first time so I just wanted to welcome you with a free starter!» What!!! That’s the nicest thing ever and it was super yummy! There’s lots of vegetarian options and an extensive drink menu. Our food came out in good time and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I’d recommended it to anyone! Thanks Lazy Dog! Xoxo

What a nice surprise and a treat for my palate. Lazy Dog appears to be the next phase of the industry’s rollout of fast casual dinning place, built for our discernible disposable income. LOL I call it the Guy Fieri-ization of the fast casual segment and by no means do I view this as a negative. Case in point, was a recent family luncheon of 6 ½ that was good, as it was inexpensive. The total tab ran us less than $ 120, including appetizers, soft drinks, entrees, desserts, taxes but before any gratuities. Incredible. Now I’m not using Guy’s name in vain. It’s just he started this trend with Johnny Garlic and Tex Wasabi by creating and mixing some very interesting tastes and flavors. Lazy Dog in some ways is just taking it more chain/main stream. For example, one of the benefits of sitting at booth near the kitchen, besides watching your meal being prepared is that you are always within sight of your server. Lazy Dog is huge inside and with all the HDTVs and noise you can sometimes get lost. Read Unilocal’er R I. for more on that subject. But for us it was just some time to sit back and relax with family and friends. The food was very good and filling, Sort of like a more«normal» Cheesecake Factory. When I look around I see a lodge type atmosphere which is kid friendly but also okay adults who want sometime more serious. Now I wrote all of the above over the past two years since our first visit.(I’m guilty of having many drafts in the works.) The original Lazy Dog was in Westminster and owner Chris Simms was thinking of Houstons, PF Chang and Cheesecake when he first started developing the concept. You’ll notice it also has a Lodge feeling to it, that because he grew up in Jackson Hole, WY. We’ve been here with four as well as seven friends and they always get it right. The food is very good and interesting, and compares favorably to those above concept restaurants that I’ve mentioned. Expect to pay around $ 15 to $ 20 for lunch and $ 25 or so for dinner depending on libations. Enjoy!

3.5÷5. Came here late one night with my husband and our furbaby to finally try it out. Waitresses were all so sweet! Really sweet to our dog and brought him a bowl of water right away :) he really liked being there and I loved the idea of being able to bring him to eat with us. They even have a doggie menu! :D we ordered him grilled chicken and brown rice which he inhaled. Our waitress found out it was our first time and let her manager know. They brought us this flatbread garlic cheese dish to welcome us as first timers! That was really unexpected and really sweet. Very pleasantly surprised. The food we tried was unfortunately not the best. We did like the sweet potato taters which were good but that was it. The wok-fired dishes we tried weren’t flavored right and too overly sweet yet bland at the same time. I know and love pad Thai and that wasn’t pad Thai. To be fair the waitress recommended other dishes… our fault for ignoring her suggestions. Just the food alone would have 2 stars but the customer service and the whole idea of lazy dog gives this a 3.5. Will be back to try more dishes and hopefully update.

My friend purchased a puppy and the two of them are inseparable. So when we decided to go out for lunch. Naturally, the little fuzz ball had to come along. Lazy Dog has a dog-friendly outdoor patio and a dog menu. The human lunch menu features half portions of many of their most popular offerings. The little fuzz ball enjoyed his meat and rice plate which we chowed down on sandwiches and meatloaf. Everyone was happy!

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. Of course, it didn’t help that they kept the pineapple mojitos coming — boy were they good. This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. First, I just love that it’s hip and modern without breaking the bank. It’s also a great place to have a date night. The food options are endless. They have everything from baby back ribs and pasta, to burgers, pizza, and wok items such as sweet & spicy shrimp. I’m salivating just thinking about it all. We ordered the turkey burger and the black & blue burger. Both were very good; the black & blue burger was ridiculously good. Those bacon & blue cheese infused crumbles set the whole burger off. I’ll be driving back soon just to have one to myself. I also enjoyed my side salad. It wasn’t your average boring side salad that’s clearly just thrown together. This was very fresh and oh so good. The star of the show for me was the pineapple Mojito. They add fresh pineapple chunks spiced with Tajin atop this Heavenly cocktail and OMG it’s amazing! Service was over the top spectacular! Our server was so nice. I wish I remembered her name. She genuinely seemed to love her job and took pride in customer service. Friendly side conversation came naturally to her; that was a nice touch. The food was really good, but I think the service was what made me love this place so much. Can’t wait to return!
