I was looking for place to find some tasteful, high-end contemporary furniture that didn’t scream Room & Board or Crate & Barrel. Alas, this wasn’t it. Nice sales staff, but most of their stuff is seriously tacky, cheap-looking and way overpriced for what it is. Frankly, most of it looks just like that overly-lacquered stuff that eventually ends up at Home Goods or Marshalls for about 1⁄10th the price. Not much to recommend here.

My mother, a regular customer of this place, purchased a bed frame a couple months ago along with other items for an interior remodel of her home. Immediately she complained of a squeaking noise and creaking noise from the frame. The people from Erik’s came out and made minor adjustments to the bed multiple times but the noise persisted. My mom is handicap and getting in and out of the bed became a nuisance for her as the bed was higher than her old bed and her foot would get stuck under the bed when trying to get out of the bed. After 4 visits to her house, the noises from the bed persisted. Erik’s would not refund or exchange the bed(we are only talking about a frame here — not a mattress). My mom had the bed moved to my house(by the same guy who initially installed the bed frame at her house — an employee of Erik’s). The first night at my house I lay down in bed and the support beam breaks from under me. I am big — 6’2210 Lbs. but not huge. Erik’s will not come out and fix it and will not stand by their work because they are not the one’s that moved the bed(although my mother spent over $ 200 to have it moved by the same guy who originally installed the bed). This was an almost $ 2000 purchase to begin with and my family has spent 10’s of thousands of dollars at this place. They do not stand behind their work and do not take care of their loyal customers. Plenty of places in this valley to do your furniture shopping, I recommend you look else ware when at all possible and avoid doing it here…
