Stepping into the Tamarisk Country Club is like stepping into a time machine, back to the days where the rat pack were kings and the Palm Springs area was the place to be on a weekend excursion. The customers seem to have not changed since that time, either. The service is very attentive, cheerful, and personal, and the food available in the dining room for brunch is delicious as well as in great variety, with many Jewish kosher-style foods on the menu. Being the first largely Jewish country club around, the Tamarisk holds a very special place in the history of the Palm Springs resort area. My experience there was one that holds many happy memories for me, and I hope that I may return one day.
