Papa John’s Pizza

Probably should have read all the bad reviews before ordering from here): my pizza wasn’t hot, it took about an hour to get to my apartment and I live 2 miles away and the Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza isn’t good.

I can see why this place has only 2 stars! I call and asked for her to tell me the specials again and she but me on hold for 10 min to long I did not call back and will not give this place my money I don’t understand why she did not know the specials? They need to step up the game because they are not the only pizza place in town!

Very rude, I would rather go somewhere else. I placed a order at the store on Saturday pizza never showed up I called and asked what happen lady told me that they showed up to my place and even call my number that was left, said it stated my boyfriends name in the voicemail message which his voice mail isn’t set up on his phone so I knew she was lying about calling the phone number. So I told her you must of called the wrong number she got defensive and I told her it’s okay about the pizza, and that I’ll just talk to the store manager she said he wasn’t in so I said it was okay I’ll call back when he was in and I asked her when he was going to be in she said Sunday. So I called back Sunday he wasn’t in, so then I call today and when I started telling him what was happening he started getting angry and started giving attitude and then hung up on me. I don’t know what type of place is being run there because 2 people so far that I have spoken to can’t take responsibility for their actions and wanna pass the blame on someone else.

Not happy ordered two large pizzas and a bottle of soda.. it took an hour to deliver when it was suppose to take 30 mins, they are 2.5 miles away from my house. The pizza came warm and the kid tried to act like i didn’t order a soda. He came back to the door 2 mins later, «i found it in the car» like he was surprised it was in there, come on…

I really wish someone reading this will buy out whoever owns this franchise, fire all current staff and replace with nice kids.
I love Papa Johns. I really wish i could have it all the time. But i am forced to order from other locations for SO many reasons!
Ive let some time settle, vs writing my review while i was still fuming… so i will make it short.
Ordered pizza at 7:05 pm, the girl sounded short and snotty over the phone, but i chalked it up to everyone has a bad day. around 8:15pm we call to check on the order, we give phone number– she repeats the order, stating the driver is out and the food should be arriving any minute. We call back at 8:32pm and she cant find the order, then after fumbling around, says that the driver came back with the food bc he couldnt find the address. Could he not find his phone either??? why is the world would he drive all the way back without calling? Why would she not call us back ?? What happened?
After some back and forth, i got on Unilocal and saw the same comments about what we were experiencing. We chose to give up on the whole situation as it was now almost 9pm, we were hungry and actually convinced these people would spit in any food they were sending our way.
So we got Buonos instead.. They always are so nice over the phone, and the pizza is great !

Rude. Rude Rude. Bad customer service, Vindictive, spiteful behavior. Disgusting. I hope they don’t spit in the pizza. Plus they make you wait an hour for delivery. What is wrong with the owner of this franchise? Hiring these evil workers reflects on management so what is wrong with this picture? These poorly trained evil boys and girls should be fired and new good and well trained people should take their places. Surely this business isn’t making a profit.

Ordered online for carryout. Simple order– large CHEESE pizza and chicken poppers. Online the Pizza was $ 14.99 for carryout. When I picked up the pizza, sign in the widow for 1 topping large Pizza $ 7.99. When I asked about it the response was «you should have called it in». I would have walked out right then, but had a 4 year old waiting at home for pizza. Pizza was COLD and HORRIBLE! Even my 4 year old wouldn’t eat it!
As others have stated — VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and the food was terrible.

Worst customer service ever… when I complained, the manager/​owner said «If you don’t like it, make your own food.»

I recently ordered online ONLY because I was emailed a promotion due to the lakers playing that night.
My pizza and wings were over an hour and a half late. I called to find out my order’s whereabouts and was told that it would be here within 15 minutes. *40 minutes later* My food arrived and it was cold and stale.
I called, not for a refund, but for a discount or even reward points for my next purchase. I was rudely denied both and basically laughed at.
This will definitely be my last time ordering at this location.

I ordered the pizza for delivery at 5:20 I didn’t receive it till 710
They said when they put the order in they didn’t put in for delivery so when they had to re-​put it in it didn’t go through and they were waiting for me to call back and I called twice then when they bring the pizza it must’ve been the original one from an hour and a half ago it was cold and stale
Never delivery again

Worste brownies we have ever ate. There brownies suck. The pizza was ok. Papa john needs to stay with selling pizzas.

Just waited for an hour and twenty minutes to receive a cold pizza! Called the manager and was basically called a liar. The driver confirmed the pizza was cold and she then, and very rudely, said she would send me another one. Really? It’s 6:20 at night, my family would like to eat at a normal time.
No thanks! Learn some customer service!

Their pizza sauce is really lacking. I had to add some oregano to it just to give it some flavor. Also their regular prices are a little high. If it weren’t for their promo codes I would never even have gone there.

Ordered 16 PC chicken wings with a salad to carry out. Didn’t feel like pizza tonight. (I usually go to Fat Tomato when I want pizza just because I like their pizza better.). Got to Papa Johns 20 minutes after I placed order using their app. They asked me to wait a little more after I checked in. I waited 10 minutes while few staff were chatting by the counter. Then I asked «how much longer do I have to wait?» The staff asked my name AGAIN so I told her AGAIN. She looks through the boxes and finds my box. I asked «so my order was just sitting there the whole time?» She didn’t answer the question. No star for the service and 2 stars for the food gives one star overall.
So that should be my last supper from Papa Johns. From tomorrow, I’m going to stick with Fat Tomato across the street who serves better pizza and wings, as well as a Caesars salad with delicious homemade dressing and offers better service.

This Papa John’s Pizza does a great job with BBQ Chicken Pizza! I use to always get cheese or pepperoni pizzas from every Papa John’s I would eat at, but once I tried the BBQ Chicken Pizza I don’t bother with ordering anything else. Instead of your basic pizza sauce, this pizza replaced it with BBQ sauce. Add cheese, chicken, BACON, and onions and then greatness is created! Even when I try BBQ Chicken Pizza from other restaurants, they still can’t compete with Papa John’s!

Nah, pizza is ok. The chicken wings suck, but they try. The staff was friendly. However, I will not recommend this place to anyone! Dominos is better, sad there is nothing else close by.

This place is an absolute nightmare. Pickup closes at the convenient time of 9pm (why so early?), and the delivery won’t deliver over a mile away from the location. When I managed to get them to deliver to a friends house while I wait, it never shows and I waited until midnight (2 hours) for nothing. Now I’m hungry and pissed. Never order from here, I never will again.

Small take out or delivery location (I think all the Papa John’s are this way). Not the greatest pizza, but when you want something quick to fill a craving, it will do the job. Later you might be wondering «Why did I do it?» My favorite part is the cheese bread (when done right) and the garlic dipping butter sauce. mmmm
If you pick up, the parking can be tight.

I don’t do chain delivery very often, but I needed 6 pizzas for my daughter’s birthday party. The online ordering tool totally rocks. So many places get paranoid about browning cheese even slightly. Papa John’s allowed me to specify «well done» on one of my pizzas. I also learned that «square» cut is huge for kids, because you get more, smaller pieces and some with no crust! (BTW– just order cheese only for young kids. 4 and 5 year olds aren’t even ready for pepperoni.) Best of all, it allowed me to place my order ahead of time and specify a delivery time. That was key when managing all of other myriad details associated with a huge party at the house.
Quality-​wise, the product is still as «meh» as I remember the last time I had it three years ago. The good toppings are undermined by a crust that’s too sweet and thick. Perhaps ordering thin crust next time will minimize the amount of crust that I don’t like too much to begin with? As long as I’m wishing, I’d really like a wheat crust option. That would be key if I ever open my own mega-​pizza chain. The other thing I’d do is totally rip off Papa John’s online ordering… that needs no improvement! :)
