This place was packed but they’ll I move pretty quickly the staff was very friendly sandwiches were perfect I will definitely be back
Amazing location with incredible million dollar ocean views. worth the drive to eat here and enjoy breathtaking views.

This subway’s patio view is probably the best in the area. My rating really depends upon who is making my sandwich. For a franchise, management may have finally learned that it depends upon the service. Looks like they eliminated some poor employees and hired a couple good ones. Let’s see how long it lasts.

Love subway but the friendly service is none existent at this subway. Rebecca our server was a sour face rude twit with an angry personality. I’ll bring my own lunch n sit out side next time!

Million dollar view for under $ 10, unless that bus is parked on the street! Food-​wise it’s like every other Subway, so if you’re expecting the food to blow your hair back then you’re going to be disappointed. Honestly though, if you’re eating in RPV and you’re expecting the food to blow your hair back then you’re going to be disappointed! Just take your sandwich to the patio and enjoy the view, and maybe laugh at the Starbucks people who are getting sunburned and have to wait 20 minutes for a chair outside!

TERRIBLY RUDE SERVICE AND OVER CHARGE/DON’T GIVE YOU ENOUGH MEAT
I went there a few weeks ago and ordered two steak sandwiches and one footlong philly. The guy who helped me gave me one scope of steak for each footlong and when I told him that it is suppose to be more he responded with a rude remark and I know how much meat goes on the sandwich since I used to work there. So he ended up adding extra meat but then charged me extra. When I confronted him about the price he made more rude and prejudice remarks. I later called to speak to the manager and he answered the phone and said they were not there but I know he was lying because I used to work there and the managers always leave later around evening time and I called in the afternoon. Overall I would NOT recommend this subway.

Today, me and my father went to this subway for the lunch. There is latina woman who’s extremely racist and rude that made us probably never going to subway again. She ignored us and skipped our order. However the view seems nice, so why dont you just go to the coffee shop beneath the subway and get some delicious crêpe?

I eat at Subway about once a month, out of all the subways this is by far my favorite. They have fresh produce and the employees are very polite, they go out of their way to be accommodating. Also the view at the outside seating area faces the Pacific ocean. You can whale watch and see Catalina Island while you enjoy your sandwich.

Went here the other day. As many others have commented, the customer service is extremely rude. We asked for light mustard and the employee made it look like Big Bird took a massive dump on the sandwhich. Needless to say I’ll not be stopping here again. Though not all is bad. Outside is a nice view of the ocean and proper customer assistance from the restaurant next door.

I go to this Subway so many times to get my brother lunch. Today was my last time at this Subway. There is a very rude fair skin Latina woman who always gives me attitude. On top of that she is VERY territorial about how much cheese I should get. I have been to enough Subways in my life and this particular lady ALWAYS gives me the least amount of cheese humanely possible. I have had enough of this and will just stop going here because I don’t like looking at mean faces making my sandwich, giving me tiny portions like I’m at some refugee camp.
I don’t really like Subway myself, the sandwiches are dry to me but even if my brother begged to come back here I will not cause the customer service blows.

While the view is breathtaking, WATCH the sandwich artists when they make your sandwiches.
I asked for egg white on my sandwich and noticed he put 1.5 pieces of egg white on my sandwich. I didn’t ask for extra and didn’t say anything because I didn’t realize that was extra — I thought that maybe, since the egg white was broken up, he was compensating and putting that additional piece.
Nope. He upcharged me for the extra egg white I never asked for. I was stunned because it was only $ 0.50, so I’m naturally not going to say anything, but imagine how many other customers he could do this to? Is this a thing that he does to everyone? And is this common practice that is encouraged at this location? Are they crooks?
If you want to see the view, I recommend Starbucks next door. I’ve never had upcharge issues with them.

Go here often for convenience after hiking. One pro is the view. Aside from the view there is poor customer service every time. Also ingredients are missing and the staff won’t take the time to ask what you want in sandwich. They don’t seem to want to be there so they don’t take the time to even give you your options. Feel very rushed and unwelcome and in future will drive further for better service.

Read that some say the subway is the same as other subways not so. The subway is much better service. line can be out the door and service is very fast + sit outside enjoy the ocean view. what more can you say.

I often come to this Subway as I work down the street from it and it’s just convenient. A few things to note so I’ll keep it straight to the point:
1. My first few visits weren’t the greatest. The staff seem okay enough, as in sometimes they’re eccentric and pleasant — sometimes they seem like they don’t care and want to desperately leave.
2. The food is like any other subway, but this one in particular is always missing one ingredient or another… most of the time it’s certain types of bread. Far too often for me not to note.
3. Service is extremely sluggish — very slow. I literally timed the staff member making my sandwich today just so I can note it as an example… and it took one minute and 37 seconds just to put salami on my bread (spicy Italian).
HOWEVER — — - there are some pretty good things:
1. This Subway has an amazing view that most do not… overlooking the ocean and patio seating. That’s pretty neat!
2. It’s always clean. Restrooms, main area, outside area — always, always clean. I love that, BIG TIME.
3. Finally, I have to give a shout-​out to one employee, specifically because 90% of my visits here I am taken care of by him. Grant is an awesome employee! There are days where you can clearly see he’s tired and days where he’s perky and upbeat… but the important thing is he’s quick with his service, very nice to do business with and furthermore, when there’s missing ingredients or if there’s something awry, he’s the first to quickly fix the problem or at least attempt to.
And for what’s it worth, I mention this because I find it kind of weird, but during all my visits here — not once have I ever seen a manager. I’m here quite often too so I’m not too sure what to think of that, but it’s something to note.

Wow — this particular Subway has made big strides in improving customer service. I really appreciate the turnaround.

Subway… What can you say, they are kinda all the same.
Like all Subways the food here is quick, easy, and pretty good. The staff at this location changes a lot. And, as is the case with most Subways, sometimes the staff is nice and professional, sometimes they are not. The one thing this Subway has going for it that most of the others do not is a GREAT view. So, you can come by, order your sandwich, and sit back with an ocean view.

This subway is just like any other subway but word of advice. BRING CASH. Their card machine is sooooo slow. Like literally. I can hear the dial tone when it is trying to get authorized! Wut!?

I drive through this parking lot in which this Subway is located once or twice a day but I have never stopped. Today (09-​14-​2013) I decided to stop for some lunch when my go to ‘Starbucks’ next door was closed for renovation.
I walked inside and immediately noticed how long the line was here. I looked toward the employees who looked lost, confused and frazzled because of the rush of patrons. The dressing station was cluttered with all sorts of food and debris, I began to worry these folks have no idea what they are doing and chances of them getting my order right is slim or none. I further observed all of the tables at this Subway inside and on the outdoor patio (which overlooks the Ocean) to be taken. I figured I am hungry; I have work to do so I will wait in line and simply eat my meal in my car.
It was finally my time to order so I ordered a foot-​long sandwich on 9-​grain-​honey-​oat only to be told ‘we don’t have honey oat.’ I walked out without ordering.
This Subway was an absolute quagmire at the time of my arrival. I believe if you are a paying customer you should demand and receive excellence. I have complained about Subway leaving the doors of the oven /​storage for their bread open which causes the bread to go stale quickly. During my visit to this Subway the oven /​storage doors which are vacuum sealed were left open the entire time. This might not seem like a big deal until you bite into a stale sandwich after you have left the confines of Subway and you are stuck with it. The slogan of Subway is ‘Eat Fresh’ not ‘Eat Stale.‘
This Subway shares its parking lot with a Trader Joe’s, Starbucks and several other businesses and restaurants so parking will never be an issue. My visit to this Subway might have been an isolated incident. I will say that this Subway has to have the best view of any Subway in the nation. This Subway shares an outdoor patio area with their neighbor Starbucks. This Subway /​Starbucks are located just adjacent to a bluff that overlooks the Ocean. The outdoor patio area also has a fire pit which is more on the Starbucks side of things which is currently closed for renovation.
I may or may not give this Subway another chance. If I do give them another chance and walk into a mess like I did today (09-​14-​2013) I will be contacting their Corporate Office.

A five dollar footlong with a million dollar view! This location is really … as good as it gets in SoCal.

WORST SUBWAY EXPERIENCE TODAY (¹¹⁄₃)
Came in today right before work to pick up a quick bite. I work less than a mile away from this subway, so I’m here pretty often. They serve subs, nothing fancy, just regular ol’ subway sandwiches. I’ve never seen anyone mess up a Subway sandwich until today.
I ordered a 6 inch cold cut sandwich… and was served a mashed up piece of crap. No joke. Check out my pics. I’ve NEVER seen a sandwich made like this. This lady, Merida was CLEARLY having a TERRIBLE day. She was throwing my veggies in my sandwich. Literally throwing. The condiments must have wronged her, because she was throwing those poor bottles back into their little tubs. After she threw my sandwich together, the SLAMMED the poor thing into the paper and rolled it up. The moment I saw my sandwich hit the wrapping, I knew it my sandwich was going to be damaged goods.
The guy at the register must have been new, because he was having a little trouble, and Merida had to help me after she made my sandwich. She then took over the register and I watched her toss a man his change. TOSS.
I drove about 2 min to my office, pulled out my sandwich, and immediately lost my appetite. The sandwich was completely smashed. I don’t even know how she managed to wrangle my sandwich into that shape. Absolutely DISGUSTING.

Same Subway w/​upgraded furniture (they actually have real furniture inside. Not just run of the mill chairs) and the best view ever.
Its a Subway! Do you really expect them to love their job any more than any other Subway? I don’t. And most of the employees are probably from «down the hill.» Not a bad thing at all, but they are probably just reflecting some of the behaviors of their clients «up the hill.»
Anyway, they made my sandwich right and thats all that matters.
