Taco Tuesday is a joke. No service. Have to literally ask for everything including fork and napkin separately. Saw people walk up to the bar to get a refill on their drinks because the waiter never comes back. Ordered guacamole and it took over 45 minutes to get it. Really disappointed because we had been looking for a taco Tuesday place in RSM but this is clearly not the place to go. Such a shame because the food is actually decent.

Excellent Sunday brunch! Not overly crowded and a good local secret. Their special occasion brunches for Mother’s Day are great to take the family to.

Beautiful atmosphere. Outside looking at the golf course is gorgeous. I normally don’t do reviews but I saw some little babies weren’t totally satisfied with the quality of the food and had to put negative ratings. Obviously not business owners and quite frankly bitter hearted morons. I have a five star review!!! Unfortunately the negative people seem to speak up more than the positive when it comes to Unilocal and reviews.

Only reason to go to this place is the Sunday brunch buffet which is excellent. A little pricey for a golf course restaurant in my opinion but the buffet is good. Otherwise, pass on this place.

We ate at Tj’s Cantina last night and it was marginal. We ordered the club, the signature and the sliders with fries and onion rings. The club was ok, but had minimal mayo and the bread was hard. The signature, which was suppose to be tri tip tasted more like a rubbery sirloin that was chewy and fatty. Everything tasted like it was frozen prior to cooking it. The onion rings were good and the fries we ok. The sliders were dry and tasteless. The service was ok, as for the food I would spend my money somewhere else next time.

Tjs cantina is located inside the golf course. Since it was a sunny day, we decided to eat outside where you get a nice view of the golf course. Their menu consists of soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. Just simple stuff. I ordered the salad with apples, feta cheese, walnuts and also added grilled chicken for an extra 2 $. The salad comes with a raspberry vinaigrette. I should have asked for the dressing on the side because as I got towards the bottom of my salad, the lettuce was drowning in dressing. I really liked the addition of feta cheese into the salad. What really saved it though was the grilled chicken. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the salad after the first few bites if it weren’t for the grilled chicken! I liked the chicken a lot more than the salad… It was tasty and was really tender. The prices here are reasonable. Their portions are also on the larger side. The service isn’t that great though. It took way too long for our food to come out. It took them at least 30 minutes to make salads and sandwiches… shouldn’t take that long! In conclusion, this place is just a-ok. I would like to come back to try their sandwiches or burgers because those looked good.

I was so excited to check this place out because it is only half a mile from my house, and I love a good brunch. Went with my mom and mother in law. It was crowded and loud. The brunch was about $ 20 per person, I believe. This did not include champagne, which was an additional $ 10. I think it is too much. The food selections were minimal. They had an omelette bar with the fixings. The problem was that everything was in a weird position so I didn’t feel comfortable standing and waiting for my omelette — so I moved on. There was some breakfast stuff — sausage, waffles, etc. There was some lunch type stuff — chicken in a sauce, prime rib, vegetables, pasta. There were two different salads — caesar and mixed greens. There was some fruit. Dessert was a few little pastries. The service wasn’t great — I kept having to ask for more coffee and water. This place doesn’t compare to Arroyo Trabuco, which has ambiance, music and GREAT food. Don’t recommend and won’t be coming back.

TJ’s Cantina is located inside the Tijeras Creek Golf Course which I can see from my balcony, however, I had no clue a free-flowing champagne brunch was this close to my house… I had assumed it was El Torito Grill, but nay, it’s TJ’s. I can’t comment on the regular menu yet, but Sunday mornings-early afternoons can’t be beat here. The brunch is $ 15.99…only 99 cents more than El Torito and way better quality. To go with your mimosa and eggs, you get a sprawling view of the rollings hills of the golf course seen from large, picture windows. I came in with my sister a couple of weekends ago, and there were plenty of tables(unlike the sardine-packed booths at ET), smooth, easy listening music wafted in the air allowing for conversations held at comfortable noise levels. Our server was amicable and filled our water and champagne glasses the moment they were dry and we never once had to ask for refills. Major props. The buffet tables are lined against the windows and offer your usual brunch fare of eggs, sausages, bacon, pancakes, assorted breads and such. The food is well made and delicious, and well above the often assembly line-ish food you get from buffets. It seems the higher in price you pay for brunch, the better the food, but not here at TJ’s, they don’t skimp on quality just because the price tag is lower. I ordered a veggie loaded omelette from the omelette station and the woman making them delivered it to my table, another nice personal touch which separates this brunch from the others. But the pièce de résistance has to be the extensive dessert table; a colorful display of cakes, muffins, tarts and cupcakes. At this point, my belly was quite full of mimosas and grub but I couldn’t pass up the allure of the cupcake stand. I chose a white cupcake festooned with a heaping of pink frosting and a candy«raspberry». It’s innards had raspberry jam… um…yum! TJ’s brunch is what weekends were made for.
