This is a true review and I am NOT slandering anyone.
I wrote this review to tell my true victimized story, and I do not want to see anyone out there to be defrauded again.
I have filed fraud to Leawood Police (Case #: 2013 – 3219) and Kansas City BBB complaint case against him, BBB case #: 9 745 039, and retain all the transaction proof of $ 200 he defrauded from me.
Therefore, BUYER be AWARE!
[ KC Handyman ] was previously listed on HomeAdvisor website as [KC Handyman]
I found his service on that website in ⁰⁹⁄₂₀₁₃. Used that website to contact him.
Service requested: Attic Access Door Installation.
1. In his first email communication: Randy Tiemeyer quoted the work for about $ 250
2. Quote Appointment Day: Showed up on time, at door step, immediately increased price to $ 350 without looking at job site, also promised me that he can do job on Saturday. Then, he requested $ 200 check deposit right away. (I was stupid to trust him with deposit when nothing was done.)
3. First Job Appointment Day: I called few days ago to confirm the appointment. He acted like it was scheduled for next week.
4. Second Job Appointment Day: First called and said he will be 20 minutes late, then 45 minutes late, eventually 2 hours late. (I waste 2 Saturdays, could not schedule any plan with my church friends due to his promised installation job.). Since he was no show again, I told him don’t come anymore. I asked him to give my deposit back since he has done nothing but made me clean the whole working area for his work, but himself was a no show.
5. No refunded check received. Emailed, texted, called. No response. Obviously avoiding my communications.
6. Finally called me to left a voice message to ask for letting him finish the job. Also gave me tons of excuses and siting how poor his financial situation is (and I wonder why). I told him simply give my $ 200 deposit back, then case closed.
7. I gave and extended check refund deadline twice as grace period, but I NEVER received any deposit refund.
8. I even tried to arbitrate through HomeAdvisor website and local BBB, he completely does not care and ignore any communications. HomeAdvisor closed down Randy’s advertising website, yet Randy immediately sets up another 2 websites under LinkedIn (under his own name) and
9. Therefore, BUYER be AWARE!!! He tends to use other email accounts to boost up his own business by writing 5 starts reviews. My situation was similar to other honest 1 or 2 starts negative reviews once on HomeAdvisor. I should have believed those reviews, then I would not lose my $ 200.

If he ever gave my deposit money back, I will also update it honestly. So far, I haven’t received any deposit refund.
