The food here is consistent and good. The pizza is better than good. Many of the staff are pleasant. But, they seem to hire a lot of men, in the 21 – 35 age group. «Service», is not the men of that generations, middle name. Many of whom feel, that waiting tables, is beneath their station. Or they feel downright superior, to the patrons they serve. My wife just returned from lunch there, with a friend. They both had lunch, paid the bill, and then chatted away, for awhile. She decided to order a small pizza to go, to bring home to me,(good idea) which she did. When ready, the waiter brings it to the table and says«$ 11.-» My wife gives him a Twenty dollar bill. Waiter says«I sup-pose you want change?» Well, …yeah, my wife says. So he returns, with the bills. As my wife was counting the bills, preparing to give him a tip, she realizes. He has been standing over and behind her, watching her, as she counted the money. And then he says, defensivly, «It’s all there…$ 9.-« I guess he was offended, that she was counting her change? Oh man, how i wish i had been there. My wife was glad, that i was not. She knows how little patience i have, for smarmy young waiters, who behave like«moguls in waiting.» Never realizing, that the men who wait tables, and then go on to big things, perform that job gladly, with service and a smile.

This place is alright. Nothing out of the ordinary really. To me as a kid I remember the most exciting part of the meal was playing with the raw dough they use for the rolls. Other than that, again nothing to really write home about. Pizza was good from what I recall, so if you need a solid place, hit this place up! Great for groups.

This place has gone downhill. The waiter forgot my salad, which was part of 3-course meal. I changed it to just entrée. Better restaurant would have brought me the dessert on the house, but so be it. My wife ordered chicken & it was bony. I ordered fish, which was good. But it came w/potatoes that were cold. It wasn’t awful, but there are better options.

After being told it would be a 20 minute wait, we headed to the bar to grab some drinks forehand. Just minutes after receiving our drinks, we were informed that our table was ready. It was quickest«20 minutes» ever so we elected to hang out at the bar and order food instead. Drinks and apps were good; dishes were okay– kinda blah. My pasta tasted super funky; I can’t put my finger on it to describe, but it was definitely weird in a bad way. The bar was tiny, maybe about 12 seats, and service was wicked slow. We probably won’t be back to this location.

I went in and got a pizza and a ravioli dinner. The pizza was cold but the food was very good over all.

AWFUL !!! Will never go to any Bertuccis again really want to give a negative star

This is the last time I go to Bertuccis for take out pizza! My wife ordered a large Bruschetta pizza from the Reading restaurant because the photo on the corporate website looked so good. While I believe paying $ 20 for a pizza is a lot, we bought it anyway since we had a gift card. What we received looked NOTHING like the picture. There were a few crappy, plastic-like chopped tomatoes on top of thick pieces of unmelted mozzarella. The crust also tasted like cardboard. Is this the quality that we should expect for $ 20? I bet a pizza from Dominos would taste better. We called the restaurant manager who didn’t bother to comp us for the bad pizza. Instead, she told us that if we were unhappy, we should complain to corporate. Believe me, we will… But this is also the last time we order anything from Bertuccis. There are SO many better and lesser expensive options available in the area from smaller, independent pizza places. Don’t bother wasting your money here!

Bertucci’s has now crossed the line and become totally«corporate«. There is no longer any love in their food. It is all about how can we make this for less. I’m very disappointed as a long time customer. The service was excellent. The food was prepared well. But I don’t think I’ll be returning

My mom and I came here on a Friday for a Paint Nite. We decided to come early and have dinner first. We were running a little late and decided to sit in the bar area as I usually find the waiters more attentive there. We were approached almost immediately by the waiter who took our drink order. He was personable and very attentive. I was about to ask for bread and he was already bringing it over with our drinks. We ordered our meal and had only eaten one roll each when someone brought our dinner out. I couldn’t believe that it came out so quickly. The fast delivery did not jeopardize the meal whatsoever. Both of our dinners were cooked to perfection and were absolutely delicious. The waiter stopped by periodically to check on us and we asked him where Paint Nite was being held. After he told us where it was and left I asked my mom if she thought we should ask for the check next time we see him so that we weren’t waiting to pay. When he passed by again I asked for the check and he said that when we mentioned we were going to paint night a moment ago he went and closed out the check for us and handed it to me. I wish I could remember his name but he was probably the best waiter I’ve ever had in my life and the meal was absolutely perfect. Paint night was also a blast! They have it every Friday night and a private room off the dining room. As we were leaving at the end of the night we noticed that there was an outdoor patio that seemed lovely. I love dining out doors and I will definitely be back here soon!

This place hosted a function I was having in their hall and every last detail was perfect from the food to the prices to the waitstaff. They went out of their way to help us In ways that is not in their job description. The food was amazing and they were so accommodating. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a function hall. No fee for renting this hall just have them cater it. Amazing experience. Will definitely be returning

The worst Bertucci’s of all the locations is Reading MA. Pizza is low quality, often undercooked, oily and and does not taste fresh. I grew up going to the woburn location which was amazing 20 years ago.

My family has never had a problem with this Bertuccis ever since we started coming here(which was basically when they opened) until a few nights ago. We ordered two large pizzas and rolls for take-out. We got the food home, opened a pizza box, and noticed this thick, black, MASSIVE pubic hair laying on top of the pizza clear as day. It was so big that we thought it was a wire or something at first. Needless to say we called and spoke to the manager who apologized and said he would have a new pizza ready for us in 15 minutes. We picked up the hair-free pizza as well as a handful of $ 5 coupons. I really do appreciate the coupons, I just don’t understand how they could let a pizza leave the kitchen that way. Or how a hair that size could have made it onto the pizza… :X We’ll probably be back at some point. That was our only problem in the whole six-ish years that we’ve been coming here. Their pizza, rolls, and service are usually great!

Hi. We visited the Bertucci’s in Reading last night. We called ahead for reservations because we had 19 people. They were ready for us! We had two great waitresses who attended to all of our early needs. They brought pitchers of soda and extra baskets of rolls. We ordered. Everything was progressing smoothly… and then, NOTSO… The food was delivered. in a timely fashion… the sausage soup was very good. We had quite an array of dinners. Some had pizza, others had the salad and soup and some had chicken Parmesan. This is the end of the compliments. The pizza was NOT hot, not warm… I ordered the chicken, broccoli, white pizza. There was plenty of broccoli, but so much chicken… I’m not a fan of el dente broccoli on a pizza. The sauce on the parm was bland-nothing special. The person who ordered the parm, ordered the grilled vegetables. They were burned, soggy and they had no flavor. I am sorry to say that I have never had a bad pizza at Bertuccis until yesterday. The food was not good. It was not busy. I realize that waiting on 19 people can be a chore, but they need to figure it out. The kitchen NEEDS to SENDOUTPIPINGHOT food… They saved the worst for last. The waitress asked us if we wanted separate checks. We are usually able to take the one check, divide it by our 19, throw in the amount with a generous tip and go home.(home for half our group is 3 hours away). We assumed that it wouldn’t be a problem to split the checks, so we said okay. The waitresses DIDNOTCOME back to our table for 40 minutes!!! The manager never visited the table to apologize or offer us a coffee or explain the delay. I talked with him at the 40 minute mark and he said that he didn’t know that there was a problem. I am happy to say that there were a few veterans of the restaurant scene at our table. No one had ever waited that long for a check. Bertuccis is a big chain. They are«successful».$$$…They need to figure out how to keep food hot when they decide to seat big parties and the MUST figure out how to accommodate big parties at the end of the meal with regards to the check. DON’T ask the group if they want separate checks or GET A POS system that can split checks… Be aware… too many other good restaurants who have figured it out.

Used to find Bertucci’s had outstanding Italian food at great prices while maintaining the feel of a family owned restaurant. Everything seems to diminish each time I return. The service is spotty, the dishes don’t seem to have to quality of ingredients and flavor they used to and it’s feeling more and more like an Olive Garden. Disappointing that just a gem had deteriorated over time.

Nasty! The waiter is awful. Had a horrible attitude and acts annoyed just having to speak to you Salad was wilted and food was COLD. We ordered ravioli and fettuccine with chicken. Both were brought out by someone other than our server who didn’t come over for a good 5 – 6 minutes while we waited with our cold food in front of us. Never apologized just said REALLY when we told him I was ice cold. Took it away and microwaved it then dropped it back off. Normally I enjoy bertuccis but I will stick with the one I normally go to and avoid this location.

My mom, boyfriend, and I ate at this Bertuccis location last night and were really disappointed. The whole reason we chose to eat there was because they advertised a few lobster specials. Now, I’ve been here before, and had«okay» experiences. but last night was just all wrong. First of all, our waiter was«half there» — first, my boyfriend asked if they had Sam Summer, and the waiter said yes — so when it came to the table, it was in a bottle. Usually, if it’s a bottled beer, the waiter will tell you(in my experience most people want these on draft — when I was a server I ALWAYS told them beforehand). When my boyfriend asked if they had it on draft, the waiter said, «No, I know, I’m bummed too,» and asked to take our order instead of asking if my boyfriend wanted something else instead. He also didn’t bring a straw for my drink, and when I asked him for one, he said, «Oh, I thought I grabbed one.» Okay, not a huge deal. My mom and I both ordered the lobster cobb salad, and the boyfriend ordered a flatbread. The flatbread was decent, but the two lobster cobb salads were really disappointing. First off, the dressing was terrible(sour), and the lobster was clearly frozen — not fresh. It had zero flavor. Our waiter would know this if he came back and asked us how everything was. He never showed up again, until a half hour later when he just asked if we were done. I still had a whole salad on my plate, and he never even asked me if everything was okay. Nothing terrible happened, I just felt that the waiter was lazy and the food was just bland. We felt as if everything was sub-par. I doubt we’ll be returning.

Bertucci’s makes terrific pizza and I love the multi-grain dough. We ordered 2 pizzas and they were excellent, as always. Note with the price point, they should be superb…$ 21.99 for a 2-topping large pie. My issue with this visit was the new Antipasto. Just a dreadful replacement for the prior version. Downgraded ingredients(no prosciutto, asparagus, grilled zucchini or that great tomato/vegie). And while I love eggplant, ours was dried out… not edible. Higher price too, I believe. Sounds like a move to boost gross margin… dish will not last.

Ok this Bertuccis location is horrendous and I will tell you why. We ordered two things for take out. A verde pizza and their dip. They say okay 25 minutes. So we go over there in 25 minutes(I timed it so I wouldn’t have to stand there aimlessly waiting like I usually have to) I get there and my pizza is sitting there DONE. She shows me the pizza and I look at it real fast like yup that’s it. Now usually when we order from Woburn they put the balsamic glaze on the side(without asking them to that’s just how they do it). So I figured that was the case since it was NOT on my pizza. So she says you have one more item coming out(no shit lady I ordered the food remember?) I stand there at least 10 minutes or more waiting for my stupid dip. Now, if you tell a customer 25 minutes, you put the dip which requires the brick oven in there towards the end of the allotted time so that when the customer arrives they don’t stand there AIMLESSLY! And the food? well READY! The gentleman that took my order over the phone asked me if I wanted rolls. I said yes please, can you also include the oil you serve with them normally in the restaurant? He says sure… The woman didn’t give me any rolls. So not only all of this, my pizza was very salty, I have a heavier hand with salt and this was too salty for me… Not only this once we sat down to eat the pizza, no glaze and we noticed at least one piece was missing the toppings almost completely. We live 5 minutes from the reading location but will be sole customers of Woburn. They get it right everytime, efficiently, punctually, always delicious, and my order isn’t missing anything. Do yourself the favor and drive the extra 5 minutes and do the same. You’ll thank me.

4 stars meaning I am a fan… I really like their pizza. that is all I get there… We showed up with a party of 5, and was not only greeted with smiles but seated right away and the place was busy for a Sunday night. With the average time of waiting, the server came over took drink order and came back not only with drinks but with bread. Took our order and then next thing we knew bam our dinner was here… not even needing to look for our server she come back to us with replacement drinks cause she saw that we were getting low… Honestly it all comes down to a smile when you walk threw the door and a server who knows how to do their job and stay on top what needs to be done… Because of this she got more than 20% from us… A LOT of servers need to take lessons from her…

There’s clearly some miscommunication here in this particular Bertucci’s location. The hostess is very new; as in I don’t think she’s ever been a hostess before. Her confused look, inability to smile, or make eye contact and lack of attention span draws me away from feeling welcomed in this establishment. She took my name down as I was waiting for a friend. A table opened up about 3 minutes later, and she yelled out, «MEGAN? MEGAN??» umm… I’m standing right next to you. «You’re Megan??» Hello, and welcome back to 3 minutes ago. The front is just awkward. If she’s new, I’ll get over it. She brought me to a table, as I was still waiting for my friend. I told her my friend’s name, in case she is coming and where I will be. I waited a few minutes, and my friend called and was sat at a table across the room. The waitress gave us bread, but she seemed like she was in a hurry. Bread was overdone. Her phrasing is a bit abrasive. «Know what you want, yet?» –Uh, I’d like to start off with a glass of water. My friend ordered the Caesar salad for two, and we placed our orders, anyway. Waited a few minutes before the salad came. I was a little confused. There was a garden on our Caesar. I haven’t been to Bertucci’s in a long time(these being the reasons why I avoid chains), and I was sure if this is how they changed their menu. But, I was sure enough that it wasn’t what we ordered. We called for her attention and told her that we ordered the Caesar. She questioned us. Floor manager replaced it in a hurry. Also, wanted a top off for water. But, it didn’t seem like he cared much to do it, but then called for our waitress to have her do her job. When our food arrived, we just ate and observed the carelessness, miscommunications and disorganization. I have no desire to ever come back.
