I’m rating this on the 2 sandwiches I’ve had(not on the new menu but they’ll still make), which were excellent: –Chicken Frontage: breaded chicken, fresh mozz, basil, tomato, and I think chipotle mayo –Eggplant Rollatini: breaded eggplant, fresh mozz, sundried tomatoes, and some other yummy stuff. My 2 complaints about this place: (1) They often are out of the components of the sandwich, e.g. chicken (2) They’re a little disorganized(e.g. old menu, website has wrong(old) phone number — it’s now 781−779−8227. But, I’ll cut them some slack because they’re nice and I love the sammies.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The first time I came I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich and a turkey club for lunch for later… both were not good I never went back for food. I tried their boston cream pic cup a couple months later and equally disappointing. I recommend D’Amicis Bakery up the street it has better quality and taste better. This place def needs improvement

Ok so I just got back from this bakery after running an errand in Reading. walked into a stuffy warm bakery(I assumed maybe it was because they were baking) but it looked more like maybe no AC? it was empty= again –probably time of day — and a young girl was out front. She was sweet and VERY personable –saying hello! I perused the case– the ‘cookie’ case had no light on it in(broken maybe?)and probably had half dozen cookies in it — if I had wanted to purchase any in bulk I couldnt– there werent enough there. I turned to the front case where I saw ‘cupcakes’ and a few others– one gluten free kind(of which there was ONLY one) another white cupcake with confett frosting(again ONLY one), a chocolate one(maybe chocolate oreo?) of which there were a few and the carrot cake ones(at least 6 of those) and various other pastries. I chose one chocolate oreo and one carrot. Over $ 6 for two.(The smaller carrot cake one was $ 3!) Brought them home and received this comment from my son ’ the cake is ok but the frosting tastes old’ on his chocolate cupcake. I tried my much smaller carrot one and have to agree– this DEF wasnt made today — the frosting was not creamy– ots was stiff like it had been in the fridge overnight. when they were boxed up I got two small cupcakes in a box made for a half dozen to– they slid around all the way home– maybe it would have been helpful to pack them or something so they were smushed. Im not thrilled at all. On a more positive note– their fondant covered cake examples they had out looked pretty good. Probably wont go there again — you need fresh items to sell and AC in August to seem more appealing. Sorry.

I have been meaning to go here for some time and I went with a small group for lunch today. It’s a very pleasant breakfast and lunch café. They have an assortment of gluten free pastries and cakes, and a variety of sandwiches and wraps. My friends ordered french toast, a tuna wrap, soup and a chicken salad wrap along with a few pastries. everything was excellent. I will come back again.

I ordered a birthday cake for my son and husband(joint birthday) and it was delicious. I am picky about cakes and our whole family loved the chocolate cake with the vanilla butter cream frosting. The owners were delightful to deal with and very eager to please. When we picked up the cake, the owner offered my son a small Italian butter cookie which was also delicious. It is so nice to have a great bakery in Reading.

I’ve gotten several cakes here and they have all been wonderful. The couple who own the place are so sweet and really go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. The carrot cake is fantastic, and the German chocolate is phenomenal. My husband and I also get lunch here sometimes, and it’s a great place to stop in for a sandwich. I’ve had the baklava several times and loved it, and I eat that a lot so I am aware of how it should taste and theirs is very good.

This is my neighborhood café(I live a few doors down) and I love it! The couple who own the place are so friendly and wonderful. If you have time, stop and chat with them. The lady makes all of the cakes in-house, and they also serve lunch and have started making some traditional Persian goodies such as stuffed vine leaves. The owners go above and beyond in their service. Recently I’ve had some gatherings, and they’ve given me a whole huge thermos of hot coffee to for just $ 10. I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s true that the quality of the cakes can be variable. For instance, the carrot cake is more delicious than the signature cookies and cream cake. But we always take guests from out of town to this café because we love the friendly atmosphere, and they have never been disappointed. I’m really sad about the 1 * review.

A wonderful bakery in Reading! I’ve had their pastries and cookies all of which have been wonderful(moist and flavorful). The owners were truly pleasant and attentive and even gave my 2 year old a free cookie.

Great food! Eaten there 3 times, friendly service and great hot sandwiches. Loved the Turkey Club sandwich and the turkey spinach and artichoke Panini. Great pastries too. My new favorite local restaurant.

The service is very friendly and the panini sandwiches are amazing. I’ve had the chicken caprice and also the tomato, basil, mozzarella sandwich, both are great.

i went in here after picking up dinner at the green tomato, just across the street. the smell was amazing and the woman at the counter was super nice. everything looked mouth watering and she also had a variety of quiches that looked very tasty. I bought a large piece of baklava and 3 eclairs, that she said she had just made 5 minutes before i came in. Disappointment, baklava was like a brick. She obviously did not know how to make it properly and the eclairs were disgusting… i actually threw them away. The whipped cream on top was more like butter, maybe she over whipped? and the filling was like soup. one bite and it was all over me and the dish and my hands, napkin, etc. It had absolutely no flavor to it, a tasteless piece of drippy bakery item. Seriously if you closed your eyes and bit into this, you would be like hmm… i have no idea what i just ate because it doesn’t taste like anything. My advice skip this bakery and spend your money else where. At 3 dollars and éclair, it should taste like something… anything.
