I’ve had excellent service in this store for years. Prompt, efficient attention when I need it and friendly banter with the employees and the pharmacy has always done an excellent job of filling Rx quickly, even when they had to do a lot of follow up. This is the best drug store I’ve ever dealt with. I highly recommend them.

«With us it’s personal.» That’s what the banner in the window says. I guess I took that the wrong way: I thought they meant that they distinguish themselves by their excellent personal service. What they meant to say, I think, is that they dislike me personally, and sabotage my visits there whenever they can. I figure that when I dial in to the automated system and punch in my life’s story and it says«Your prescription will be refilled and ready for pick up tomorrow at 9AM,» that I should be able to pick up my refill at 9AM the next day. I should not drive there and wait in line and then be told that there’s a problem with the insurance. Methinks if it were«personal,» someone would have called me. Methinks wrong. So I leave, and hassle with my insurance company, who eventually does the right thing, and tells me that they’ll notify Rite Aid that afternoon. I give it two days and drive back down. Methinks that if it were«personal,» upon being informed by the insurance company that they could go ahead and refill my prescription, they would. Methinks wrong. Three trips in January to pick up one stinking prescription. If this had only happened once, I’d let it slide. Same deal today for my kid’s prescription, which I stopped to pick up AFTER the automated phone system called to tell me it was ready. This time I say, «So if there’s a problem, wouldn’t it make sense for you to call me and tell me, instead of having the robot lie to me?» No apology, she just says, «If we called everyone with a problem, we’d be on the phone all day.» Uh-huh. That’s a lot of what a service business is. I’ll be transferring all of my business, prescription and nonprescription, elsewhere. Sorry Rite Aide, nothing personal.
