Since I have been working in Wakefield this has been my go-to Staples. They have almost everything I need and when they do not the staff goes out of there way to find it for me. I was looking for a shipping box with weird dimensions that they did not carry in store. The store manager went out back and came back with an old box that would work perfectly for me. He did not have to go that extra 10% but he did am I am a very happy customer. Keep up the great work.

Watch out for the rebate reward cards. They do expire. And, they will not reissue.

It’s usually a convenient place to get everyday supplies. I purchased a new laptop, and at their suggestion, brought in my PC for them to transfer ONLY my Office files to the new laptop. They promised it for noon yesterday after a 9:00 drop off. I told them I absolutely needed to bring it home last night. I stopped by at 12, at 2 and called at 7:30 pm to find it still not done. I called at noon today and they still weren’t finished but would be in 20 min. So I arrived at 1:30, and I’m still sitting here, wasting time, while they tell me, almost done! Then, Sorry! The tech staff is overwhelmed, and though they are polite, they’ve been lying to me for the past 27 hours. Still«Not yet.» How long for one day transfer? I’ve transferred the whole hard drive in just a few hours. Totally unacceptable.

Went to the staples copy center in Reading, ma. No one at all the counter and wanted a few color copies /enlargements. Young girl at register finally looked up from register and asked her for a few color copies /enlargements. in a condescending tone she said she could not do them now and I would have to leave them. Six copies … I left and will go to Kinko’s. Not what I would expect on such a small order — image if it was larger! Happened on more than one occasion at this location and will scratch this location off the list if copies are needed

Staples has most of what you need. I find them lacking with the most recent technology. If you need office supply stuff then stop in, but If you need the latest and greatest you might not find what you are looking for here.

A routine stop to this staples on the way home from work to pick up a few office supplies. I need to mention how helpful and informative the young lady at the register was. Shayla was very helpful in directing me to the proper areas. If she is typical of her generation there is still hope for the youth of the world.

A very poor experience at the Reading store lastnight has caused me to write this review. Called the Reading store, Thursday afternoon and spoke to a Tech named Andrew. He told me he could hold an item(they had six at the time) for me til the end of the business day. He took my full name and noted the item he was going to place on hold. I came into the store later that day to be informed that the item had been sold out and that they don’t really have a hold policy. They will hold the item but if someone comes into the store to buy it, they will sell it. That ISNOT a Hold Policy. Being frustrated, I asked to speak to the store manager and spoke to Ed Valle. He didn’t check to see if there were any notes left by the day manager or the tech Andrew. He told that they don’t really have a hold policy but then said they would hold an item if there was more than one. I asked why associates and managers don’t know the polices and why it’s not communicated to everyone. He didn’t apologize for the lack of communication or education that occurs in the store nor provide me with any customer assistance after having driven all the way up from Boston. He basically treated me like I was lying. Mr. Ed Valle, the first thing you should have learned as a retail manager, is the customer is always right, apologize and treat them as a valued customer. Accept the blame for your fellow associates/managers and rectify the matter. Instead you were appalled when I asked for your full name and I asked if why I was going to report you. You have a lot to learn about customer service. You shouldn’t be making excuses and deflecting the blame, take responsibility. It should not matter what tech/manager was on duty at the time, the customer is someone that should be treated the same at any time. I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a store before. After having driven all the way up from Boston, I decided to stop by the Staples Woburn store on the way home and was treated the way I expect. Constantine, the tech at the store, was super helpful, consider it and went out of his way to find the item I was looking for. Kudos to the Woburn Staples. I recommend to all to drive the extra couple of miles to go to the Woburn Staples and avoid the Reading Staples like the plague.

Suprisingly clean and neatly stocked, considering its«Back to School» time for many. Great sale prices, no couupons needed. Staff is helpful, they even walk you over to what you are looking for, now how’s that for customer service ;) Overall, pleasant visit, I was in and out, grabbing some supplies for work, no complaints here!

WHO would have thought I would be Unilocaling about Staples. I was there on a busy night when people were shopping for back-to-school and I had the most amazing experience. I was at the cash register and a guy comes up and tosses two packages of Duracell batteries(worth $ 6 each) at the cashier and says, «Give these to her for free.» Okay, that was a «wow.» He told the cashier that he could go on break and he would take over. I was purchasing two HP Combo Pack ink cartridges and Dhruv(pr: Drew) Patel, Easy Tech Expert said, «you know that you could save a LOT of money by purchasing the inks that are full»? «Full,» I replied, «I thought I they were full.» The asterisk next to the 02 and then at the bottom of the package tells you how many photos you get, but I never noticed and didn’t realize I wasn’t buying FULL cartridges. WHO would think they wouldn’t be full? Dhruv took the time to point out the differences to me and I purchased two«full» combo pack. I spent more money, but I won’t need ink so soon. I never really had an allegiance to Staples, but I do now, at least the one in Reading because of Dhruv. And good for Staples management for empowering their employees to make decisions on the fly and take the time to really help. — Cindy Davis

on the road a lot, often need to stop in @ this chain’s locations for something, this outlet in particular has the worst customer service, ex. ask them a question & they tell you that you need to look it up online 90% of the time. And a quick copy? don’t even bother asking one of the 3 people behind the desk. I personally am not a fan of self-serve but feel like I am putting them out asking for 5 copies… well, one machine doesn’t staple, the other either jams or misaligns the image or starts spitting out blank pages within printed pages, the only«good» one jams every 200th copy(like playing russian roulette, sometimes you get lucky sometimes …) & they are aggravated at you for jamming it, like you did it on purpose. One of the machines I used left a mark which they said was a scratch on the drum, but they never took it out of service or fixed it for close to a year & in my haste I’d fuck up & run a job on it, then have to go thru the hassle of having them credit my credit card THEN go back to one of the other clunkers. Avoid this place at all costs!!! if you are in the area Saugus has great people working there, and Woburn’s not bad either.
