Amazing vegan food and friendly staff! There is a selection of raw food dishes, juices, salads, sandwiches, entrees and deserts. The raw food dish I had included raw cracker bread with raw spread and tons of fresh veggies topped with sprouts as a sandwich. Was amazing and I will be back even though this place is an hour away! If you’re down the shore do yourself a favor and stop here instead of going for fried Oreos and hotdogs on the boardwalk!!! Great prices also. Fantastic.

To start, I am not vegan, or even vegetarian. But Good Karma Café’s huge menu and great recommendations from friends drew my sister and I in after a day on the beach and we were both happy we came. Yes, it was small inside, but we got there before the dinner rush so we got a nice corner to ourselves. We started with the loaded nachos which were fantastic and the«queso» truly rivaled the real deal. We couldn’t decide on entrees since there were so many options so we split the earth burger(which the kitchen graciously cut in half for us) and the love bowl with tempeh and spicy peanut sauce(which I wanted to bottle up and put on everything). The sunflower seeds in the earth burger were excellent and added a great flavor and the love bowl… Fantastic. I didn’t even want for chicken, which is a sign that this place deserves an A+… And they definitely earned that after we tasted the chocolate ganache cake for dessert! PS take a treat(or three…) home with you. The chocolate peanut butter brownie was out of this world!

After a long week, my fiancé and I really wanted some fresh, delicious food and having never gone to good karma, we were extremely excited to try it. Until we got there, where every table was full– but that was not the issue. We stood in a corner for 10 minutes before anyone told us any wait time, but even then, we had no issues with that or with waiting, so we waited and got sat. The service staff was maybe some of the coldest Ive ever seen, and ignored us the whole time. We ordered a huge order, and waited 40 minutes for even a smoothie to come out. And the food was just not great. My fiancé actually got sick, and he never gets sick. I really wanted to love it, but our experience left a lot, a lot, a lot to be desired.

All vegan, all delicious!!! I’m a kid in a candy store when I go here. So many options and the waitresses are helpful to explain the menu. The Tempeh love bowl is my fave, along with the nachos. Small inside, no reservations. I’m hungry.

Whenever I go to a vegan spot, I’m always tempted to order a Philly Cheesesteak if they have it on the menu. I’m always disappointed. As far as I’m concerned, finding an excellent vegan cheesesteak is like finding the holy grail. Good Karma has made the best vegan cheesesteak that I have ever tasted. Back in the day, I used to go to a place in Philly called Gianna’s Grill for my vegan cheesesteak fix and it was good but the one from Good Karma is great. Cheesesteak wasn’t the only thing I tried though. I also had their loaded nachos which were phenomenal and I also had their tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert(I have a sweet tooth)! Both desserts were excellent. I will definitely be back. A word of warning to those who have never been. The place is very small and fills up very fast so be ready to order your food to go.

Went here for breakfast and had the coconut bacon crunch wrap supreme. It was amazing!!! I highly recommend this quaint little place. My better half is not vegan however he enjoyed his breakfast immensely and eats mostly vegan. I have been vegan for 6 months. This place is the one of the best places to eat where everything is delicious!

I can’t say enough about this place. The food is consistently fabulous! My all time favorite is their buffalo tempeh salad with ranch! It’s to die for!!! The place is tiny, so unless you want to wait, get there early or call in for takeout. If you are unfamiliar with vegan cuisine, start with something like the Asian fusion bbq seitan sandwich, it’s a little more meat like. Anything you get you will be happy… And you will feel great!

Too long. Didn’t Read: Best NJ vegan spot. Try everything. I have, and I’m not kidding, ordered everything on their menu. Don’t worry about what to order; you can’t go wrong. This is the best vegan place in New Jersey and I have checked lol. What sets good karma apart is the creativity and complexity of their dishes, particularly the entrées, salads and live food menu. Everything is balanced and fresh and just interesting. They inspire you to love good food. It’s small and can get crowded so go before the dinner rush. You can also call ahead and do pick which is super convenient.(call ahead approximately 15 minutes. It’ll be ready by the time you park) Top picks: –Pineapple mango tempeh –Southwestern Seitan bowl(for the nonvegan you brought along lol) –Live lasagna –Love bowl –Freaking everything Things that need more pizzazz: –Burrito(just a fresh Burrito) –Indian plate(traditional Indian fare — delicious, but the creativity of the live lasagna and other entrées make it regular.

First time at a vegan restaurant. It was really delicious and the service was great. I really appreciated that the kitchen was in the middle of the restaurant, kind of a homestyle feel. The live lasagna was so good and it was my first time tasting vegan«cheese.» The fresh assortment of desserts looked amazing.

The food and service were great and I left feeling fantastic most likely due to the healthy nature of the vegetarian diet. Pad Thai with tempeh strips was fantastic!

Yummy healthy vegan food. Try the buffalo wings & the earth burger with tempeh bacon– sooo filling and probably the best veggie burger I’ve ever had(ask for it with sriracha aioli & extra sriracha for a little kick). Philly cheesesteak is also really great and super filling. Tried the BLT and it was a bit lacking in flavor, might be better with a different sauce. Also tried the coconut crusted tempeh and it would’ve been awesome if there was more of the curry sauce on top, so I would recommend asking for extra. Dying to try the tiramisu and mac n cheese. Really awesome little spot!

This place is phenomenal! If it has not been for my daughter, I would never have known about this place. As a vegetarian it’s hard to find a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I was so blown away by the food that I bought a second meal and dessert to take home! I had the Tempeh Reuben and the Chocolate Ganache Cake — both so delicious! i took home another Tempeh Reuben and the Tiramisu for the next day. Please try this place. You will not be disappointed!

We just picked up dinner to go. Husband says staff was extremely friendly :) inside is small but cozy. We had the Philly cheesesteak and the Mango & Pineapple Tempeh. The food held up in the containers for the 25 minute ride home! Both dishes were beautiful(see pics) Husband says that the Philly cheesesteak didn’t taste or remind him of that but it was an extremely delicious sandwich on its own. That’s the issue with Vegan food; we should just enjoy it for what it is and not what it’s trying to be. He ate every last bit of it, saved the salad for last, lit up with delight when he saw that there was another piece of Seitan inside the salad. I tasted it as well and agree that it was very tasty, would order it again, but definitely not a Philly cheesesteak. I had the pineapple & mango tempeh. Plate was colorful, fresh, and so so so good. The coconut crusted tempeh stayed crispy, good texture and didn’t taste«healthy» in a good way. Veggies and rice cooked perfectly. Did not taste like a vegan dish at all, with the creamy savory slightly sweet sauce! Would definitely order again and can’t wait to try something new!

I assume second times the charm. First time I visited with my friend, who is not vegan. He ordered a bbq tofu or tempeh wrap, and I ordered the philly style cheesesteak. I didn’t enjoy my meal as much as my friend enjoyed his. The cheese was a very gross type of sauce, and the cheesesteak had kale on top of it(I’m not a fan of kale, really). The waiter came and asked us if we were finished, we said yes, and he made a somewhat rude comment about how he usually finishes all the food on his plate. and then said, i guess its first world problems, huh? I didn’t like that so much so I was very hesitant on going back. I went back in november after I was done doing clinical hours at riverview medical center, and ordered the caesar salad, and that was very very good, i enjoyed it a lot, I however did get take out this time around.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally went with a friend who goes here as much as she can. Adorable small little place with limited tables so I suggest if you can go off hours that is the best. We arrived at 12:45 and only waited 15 minutes for a table for 2. Service was excellent. They have Gluten free items labeled and even though they don’t have a designated area for preparing GF food I was fine, which is good as I am very sensitive having Celiac. We both had the Kimchee Bowl with Tempeh instead for tofu. Loved every bit of my lunch! A macro inspired bowl filled with brown rice, black beans and baked tofu strips or tempeh. Topped with fresh arugula, pickled daikon, carrot and cucumber and our homemade kimchee. Finished with a drizzle of spicy sriracha sauce. GF Dessert we split the cheesecake, homemade tofu cheesecake served in a nut crust. I can’t wait to return. Writing this review has me craving for their food. Oh by the way the people next to us had the love bowl and said they go back and forth between that and the Kimchee Bowl. parking like most places in Red Bank is on the street.

The place sells itself to local vegetarians and vegans, so there’s barely a need to recommend it. But if you’re neither but open to new styles of food and still questioning trying it, definitely give it a shot. If you think you might enjoy the vegan cheese steak(which I’ve made a point of stopping in when I’ve been in the city on my own just to enjoy a few times recently), you likely will. If that sounds unappetizing(or, other more emphatic or colorful aspersion of your choice(which, yeah, I get(Took me about 10 years…))), there are more straightforward(not meat substitutish) plant based choices. Interesting beverage options(live lemonade(I have no idea…)) and vegan baked goods to take home as well. And for one or two of you try to score the window table, ’cause private and with a street view(’cause, window…).

Drove an hour to get here. Pad Thai is very very good. Very cozy place! They could use a bigger restaurant because of how many people love it here. I will be back. Best tofu I’ve ever had! Also the nachos will knock your socks off. Great place for Vegans, Vegetarians, Celiacs, and Normal people alike. Can’t wait to try more food here. DELICIOUS.

The food here blew me away. Amazing vegetarian/vegan food along with teas, desserts, and baked goods. I ordered the Buffalo tempeh salad. I’ve been dreaming about that salad ever since! Their soups are delicious as well! The staff was awesome and friendly and very knowledgeable of their food. I also like that the kitchen is open and you can even talk to the chefs.

If you’re looking for good vegan food then look no further than Good Karma. The menu has a ton of options to choose from. I really enjoyed their chimichuri seitan skewers, the spicy peanut satay and the buffalo tempe salad. Everything we got was spot on. I will be back.

Great spot with awesome vegan«live» food and comfort food. The loaded nachos are my fave and the love bowl with tofu and coconut is amazing. The only downside is that the place is quite small and can get crowded and cramped easily. If they’re busy expect a long wait outside of the restaurant.
