As often as I cook, eat out, study the art of cuisine, and dine throughout the world, I find myself never satisfied with my own salads. They say the hardest things to achieve sometimes are the simplest in nature and anything lettuce related is surely my krypton. Cue SALADWORKS! I’ve easily spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at this location over the years and have only adjusted my order marginally over the past decade. I stick with a «make your own» with roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, grilled chicken, corn + black bean, romaine lettuce, topped with balsamic vinaigrette. Paired with a wheat roll, this dish always cures a hungry appetite. The options are endless and the dishes are always the freshest yet I find myself always struggling with the price point of spending nearly $ 10 on a dish that likely costs around $ 2.50 to make. It’s definitely a high mark-up and not the best value in town, yet I find myself a consistent customer. The quality seals the deal for me and likely will for you too. Saladworks is not worth trekking into Red Bank during school hours and traffic for but it is worth your time should you find yourself on the east side of town on a shopping spree.

I love salad works! I get lunch at least three times a week and it is always a fulfilling experience. First of all, the staff is always eager to greet you and take your order. The salad bar they serve you from is always very clean with fresh ingredients. The whole process for ordering and making the salad never takes more than two or three minutes. Plus you can’t beat their prices-for a salad and a large piece of bread is about $ 10. I suggest the Cobb salad– it is delicious!

Ok I will start off that I ate my entire salad(minus the rubbery chicken) and in my defense I was really hungry. It wouldn’t have been half bad if it wasn’t for the quality of the chicken. Granted it was a 9 $ salad, I have had cheaper salads with higher quality ingredients, including all white meat grilled chicken. This meat tasted like a rubber tire, mixed with fat and cartridge. I won’t be going back.

I have no idea what type of experience Danica had here, but I feel like she went to a bizarro universe version of the Red Bank Saladworks! I stand by my original review of this place. I eat here basically every weekday for lunch and find the entire staff to be amazing and extremely friendly. The food is good and the entire establishment is always clean. I really do recommend giving saladworks a chance for a healthier alternative for lunch!

Save your $. Don’t bother going to their Red Bank location. So dirty and unsanitary, overpriced & unfriendly staff.
