I stopped at this location as a result of being in the area for my childs basketball game at Ovilla christian School. the place is small but clean. The gal waiting on me was very friendly and relaxed. The water was served with lemon and plenty of ice. I ordered a coffee and it was hot but nothing special on taste. The chips and salsa where fine, the salsa was a tad to mild for my taste but had flavor. I ordered a lunch special for $ 5.25. 1 Beef enchilada, 1 crunchy taco and rice. The amount of food was fine as was the flavor. It was a nicer setting then the fast food options but the food quality was about the same. Just A-OK

Best chile rellenos in South Dallas/Ellis counties — fresh, homemade, mildly spicy! I treat myself about once a month or so..

Cafeteria Mexican food at on the border prices. The queso is like nacho cheese dip. Very disappointing. You do get a good amount of food. Bad service. The server we had didn’t speak English. Honestly the food was as if it was from a hospital cafeteria or frozen food isle. I wouldn’t recommend a meal there. I also would not go back. Sad to say because I wanted to go support local businesses.

Horrible. The most uninspiring Mexican food this South Texan has ever had…

Ok food. Not bad, but not great either. I never go there unless I am with someone who really wants mexican near my home. It is better than the place across the street.

This Plato Loco, like the others in town, will serve 2 free margaritas with each entrée which is a real draw for the restaurant, as the margaritas aren’t half-bad. Most of the Tex-mex here is average, just standard fare, so I give it a 3-stars. Try the Rodrigo’s Revenge salsa, nice and spicy. The tortilla soup is also very good, at least last time I tried it, with plenty of pollo(chicken), queso(cheese), aguacate(avocado), calabaza(squash), zanahoria(carrots), cebolla(onion), and corn strips(corn strips). I would say just go for the sake of the fact that they have the two free margarita’s, most of the entrees are around 7 – 8 bucks, the price of two margaritas, so, if you don’t like the food, at least you’ll have a damn margarita or two to drink, lol.
