Red Oak Health and Rehab Center

My poor mother had a stroke and was placed here after her hospital stay for rehab. Therapists do their jobs well, as my mom is improving. That’s why they get 2 stars. The rest of the staff have little empathy, personality, knowledge or zest for their jobs. Elderly people roam the halls in wheelchairs and it seems any of them could walk out the door unnoticed at any time. The first day I arrived to visit I had to ask 4 employees where my mother was (she wasn’t in her room) and no one knew where she was! Found her in the dining room, but considering no one knew where a stroke patient with dementia might be… Glad she’s not in there much longer.
Update 2÷14÷2016
And now, last eve, we found my mother roaming the halls sitting in her own mess and cannot speak.
We took her (the staff probably still hasn’t even realized she’s gone) straight to the emergency room. So sad.
