Galaxy Gymnastics Academy

We have been going to the gym since August with no problems. I have two kids there, one in the little stars and one in shining stars. My son in the little stars class turned 5 and wanted to move to the next level. I spoke with the owner who said no problem, as soon as he turned 5 the move would happen. He turned 5 and went into the next level, we were not told there was «protocol» as they call it to move him to the next level as I was sure to inquire two weeks before to ensure a easy transition. He was so excited that he was going to the next level it all he talked about all week. When we got to class today, he was questioned 4 times by 4 different employees interrogating him about being in class. By the time the 2^nd employees questioned him, he was in tears running to me. After I talked to them I thought everything was taken care of when 2 more employees approaches him to interrogate home some more.
This is a 5 year old child, I was standing right there. Why on earth would they put a child to tears and question him like that when I was there. Those questions should have been directed to me! There is no excuse for hurting a child’s self esteem or putting them to tears. After talking to the office manager who again explained «protocol» to me, I pulled my children from the gym. I will not allow adults to treat my children in such a harsh manner and call them selves a moral/​self esteem boosting facility. Staff obviously were not trained in handling «protocol» or this would not have happened. An apology only works if it is sincere… I doubt they care about what they did to my child. I will not take my children back there again and hope no one else experiences this again. I would suggest going to one of the other gymnastics halls in town and steer clear from this one.

Let’s show Galaxy some love! There is a clear reason why my girl has begged to have her birthday parties there for FIVE years in a row — because it’s AWESOME!!! This gym is by far the safest I’ve been to and clean. I’ve left other gyms feeling rather yuckola –but not Galaxy! The owner & her staff are always super friendly and you can feel that they love what they do. We stopped going, for a while, to try other sports. And we could not wait to get back into gymnastis, again. We were both welcomed back, by name, with hugs. My girl honestly feels very safe and at home here. AND… she has already told me her next birthday will be at Galaxy… yes…again!!! My girl’s birthday’s are legendary fun! This really is the best gym in Redding, on so many levels!!!

Over all this is a awesome place great friendly staff! Great with kids! Very positive and motivating and I see my own child advancing in gymnastics very quickly. My only reasoning got not giving the full 5 stars is there is not a very good cooling system got the summer time which most of the local places in this area only have swamp coolers as well as being in a metal building which maintains a lot of heat. This place is very clean and very safe and I love it!

We had a very bad experience with the owner of this gym. She is a psychopath who only cares about the money and censorship, and not the children. At first she puts on a good face, but she is truly mean and doesn’t even know kids’ names who have been there for years. She is paranoid with cameras all over her facility and she records conversations without your knowledge. She tells parents not to discuss anything about her facility if it’s a complaint, like this place being an inferno in the summer. She has banned parents for asking questions she deems «negative». And lastly, her facility has roaches. The owner is crazy and we will not give this gym one more dime of our money.

Very clean facility. The owner is super sweet, and the kids are well behaved. My kids love it here.
