I’ve all ready rated this place 5* — updating today because I had a chance to try their special of homemade Italian Wedding Soup and oh my goodness I can not begin to express how incredible this was. Fresh with lots of flavor and some of the best house made sausage — it was excellent. I highly recommend this bakery-​deli. Also had the Firenze panini {my favorite} and it was excellent as well. The Italian couple that owns this place are very friendly and you can tell they really appreciate their business and customers.

Great food, every thing I’ve ever tried: paninis, pastas, and pastries have all been delicious. I ordered a lasagna for Christmas and decided at the last minute to pick up a second one, not only were they extra accommodating the lasagnas were the best I’ve ever had! Great food, Great owners.

My wife and I love their Rustic round bread baked fresh daily. I guess it is Tartine Style, but not sure. Though good for sandwiches and toast, the bread never makes it past dinner. Seems like we tear into it as soon as it’s home and there’s some good cold butter on hand! I rate them 5 stars for this bread alone. As a cannoli aficionado, however, I’m driven to tears of joy over their version of cannoli; it is that good. There’s a great citrus flavor and a crunchy chocolate chip taste and a freshness to the cheese stuffing, and a crispy shell that is hard to find anywhere so that it is quite clear that these folks are true believers in quality. I would go way outta my way for either of these offerings alone, but combined? Call it a magnet.

I’ve been going here since Tantardini’s opened. The food is authentic Italian. Each of the hot dishes, Lasagna, Spaghetti, Cannelloni etc are all home made from fresh ingredients. The Panini’s are made with imported Italian meats, the breads are baked fresh each morning. They have Cannoli’s on Fridays and fresh baked pastries every morning. I really can’t begin to tell you what a great find this was for me (being Italian). Growing up eating homemade Italian, I can tell you Tantardini’s is the real deal. I’m very confident in saying you will not be disappointed.
The owners a great folks and try very hard to please everyone Although they speak English well, you will hear Italian being spoken behind the scenes. It is very similar to eating Italy. Wow, a taste of Italy right here in Redding!!! Enjoy.

Had a huge craving for a cannoli and decided to try this new place on cannoli Friday. Walked in and nobody acknowledged me. Fine. After waiting for like five minutes for the lady to get off the phone she ignores me and goes to some customers that were waiting on a table. They order a cannoli. It’s the last one. So no cannoli for me and no acknowledgement that I was even there.
Good might be good but I won’t ever know.

Love this place! It has turned into a Saturday morning tradition of sorts. The service is great and I wish I could try all of their goods! But I can’t seem to get past the chocolate hazelnut croissants with my cup of coffee, they’re just so good! I’ve got to try one of their paninis one of these times, or their luscious croissant sandwiches, and definitely their lasagna!

Tantardinis is quite the treat! I love this place and Coke quite often. They have excellent customer service and incredible Italian food– from the sandwiches to the Raspberry filled Croissant to the pastas. My only comment is I wish they were open later!

I LOVE this place!!! The owner Diego and his wife have brought Italy to Redding in this delightful bakery and deli. My fav is their chibata bread, but their panninis are also AWESOME! They just started making ravioli and I will be getting that soon as well. They cater, too!

What?! There’s an Italian deli in Redding?!
Come. Visit the sparkling clean shop randomly situated between the coin laundry and Indian cuisine. They speak beautiful Italian and flawless English.
Yep. Best sandwich in town. Hands down. Had the Roma. It was absolutely perfect. Fresh ciabatta, homemade pesto, prosciutto, delicate arugula, and sun-​dried tomato.
It was a hearty portion. And just the right price.

Amazing food and service! What else could you ask for. I recently had Tantardini’s cater a luncheon at our office, not only was the food amazing, the delivery was early and the owners are more than kind! So excited to have fresh authentic Italian food here in Redding!!!

I was by Tantardini’s one morning and decided to try it out and I was so impressed! The owner was very nice and chatted with me for a few minutes. It’s nice to know he’s actually European! In terms of their baked goods I would say they are among the best if not the best in Redding! I’ll definitely be back to try more of their amazing food!

i got the roma panini and substituted pesto mayo for pesto and mustard. also ordered the soup of the day which was vegetable soup. both were excellent. however I must state that the ciabatta bread for my panini was fabulous, just a little stiff and crunchy but it worked great dipping it in the soup.
overall 9.5÷10 definetly coming back and would recommend to anyone looking for a great sandwich.
