New to the area, I’ve spent the last week scoping out my new go-to pizza joint. Since Napoli’s is so close to my house, I was excited to try it! It was a bit expensive, but I was willing to overlook that due to the Mom and Pop nature of the business. Had a BBQ chicken deep dish pizza the first night, along with fries and ranch(obviously, because I’m from Michigan). It was decent. The crust was crispy enough, and a little caramelized from the cheese and BBQ, but the rest of the ingredients were kind of low quality and there was too much bread for my taste, not enough crispiness on the bottom. So, the second time around I tried a bacon tomato and onion pizza with garlic crust(that costs extra, by the way). I was severely disappointed. Crust had no discernible flavor, ingredients weren’t cooked all the way through, and the sauce was very bland. I won’t be back.(Added one point for the ranch made in house, because Michigan.)

Right at the end of my block, but I would drive 15 miles for Napolis over any other pizza place. The Hawaiian, and the BBQ chicken are F***ING great. Price is better than all the chain places in the area for shure.

Authentic Italian taste, first time I had the pizza I was in love, the buttery crust and so much topping!

This is my favorite pizza place — I love the sauce because it’s not too sweet. They don’t put too much cheese, and the crust is excellent.

Best pizza in michigan hands down! Real pepperoni, great cheese, and the best crust. There pasta dishes are fresh and are large. Moved away from the area but still go back every two weeks for a large pepperoni.

Well i woke up needing a slight pizza fix plus i wanted to try something new, so why not the pizza place around the way?.. So i ordered the Hawaiian pizza, it was mediocre only because i could tell the products were kinda low budget. The Crust was very Delicious tho being slightly crispy but still chewy If i would visit this place again for a pizza, I doubt it.

Really good food overall… had pasta and meatballs first time and pizza second. I would pass on the ribs, but the Italian fare was quality.

Napoli’s Pizzeria is our neighborhood pizza place. Over the years, we’ve ordered many pizzas here. They are always consistent. It’s pretty average pizza. Not the best, but satisfies my craving for pizza. The cheese bread is really good and never disappointing. We’ve never had a bad experience here in 10 years. No burnt, undercooked, or wrong pizzas. That’s pretty good! I can’t review any other items but the pizza & cheese bread. They have a fairly extensive menu that include salads, subs, fried food… what seems to be pretty standard for many local pizza places. They also sell Girl Scout cookies when it’s ‘in season’. One night, the husband arrived with the pizza and a brownie in a sandwich bag. I asked him why in the world would he buy a brownie that someone made in their home(not at Napoli’s). He’s a sucker for a brownie, and it was a huge square for $ 1. Needless to say, he took one bite, and was done. hahaha! He shrugged it off and figured it was only a $ 1 and was for a charity. If you’re looking for a good pizza that isn’t skimpy on the cheese or toppings, with really gooey cheese bread, this is the place to call.

My family may shun me for this, but I have to be brutally honest here. Back in the day, Napoli’s was great and by far one of the best places to order Pizza from within and outside of the Redford area, but over the past few years they have slowly plummeted below the bar of even a sub-par pie. When I do order from there, mainly because it is so close to me and convenient, there is always something wrong with my order. For example the last time we ordered we wanted their Deep Dish that came with 3 toppings which were Pepperoni, Bacon, and Fresh Mushrooms. What we ended up getting was Pepperoni, Sausage, and Canned Mushrooms. I love Mushrooms, but not Canned ones. To me they taste slimy and I loved the fact they offered Fresh as an alternative. Also my biggest pet peeve is that the crust is always burnt. They either jack up the heat too high in their ovens or they cook them too long. Burnt crust is one of the worst things you can experience when it comes to Pizza. Yes I could call and complain every time my order is wrong, but what’s the use? All they are gonna say is «sorry» and perhaps offer to comp my next order which too will end up being burnt or wrong. Where is the Napoli’s I grew up with in the early 90’s that I love? Even with it being so close and convenient I doubt I will order from there again until they can get back on track.
