Been here twice w/my hubby. We love it here! love the soups, especially the fried sizzling rice ones. Big servings, one soup dish can easily feed 2, we got 2 soups because we love soup. I always get the honey walnut shrimp. very good.

We took my hubby’s boss & his family here for lunch on 01÷31÷16. There were 7 of us in total. Each had an entrée ordered, an order of fried rice, 3 cups of steamed rice &3 iced teas. First of all, the middle aged waitress was very rude. Hubby’s boss’ family have severe allergy on nuts so the wife had asked how they prepare their dishes & if they can avoid putting nuts on them. The waitress just IGNORED her request & rolled her eyes. Hubby & I saw her doing her antics. My food came first but refused to eat without everybody getting theirs too. 10 minutes later, 3 entrees came, 10 more minutes then the rest of the party got theirs. Food tasted OK, so much MSG. The portions were so tiny, the three boys had devoured theirs so fast & eating off their mom & dad’s plates afterward. Hubby & I ended up giving ours to them too. The waitress never once checked on their drinks if needed refills. Here’s the shocker folks, I picked-up the tab & was surprised to pay $ 169– for lunch! Remember, we each had an entrée of about $ 12.00 each plus $ 21.00 on Fried rice, 2 lemonade &3 cups of steamed rice. The waitress NEVER presented me the itemized bill but just the credit card slip to sign. I paid & never contest it since I don’t want to be embarrassed in front of my hubby’s boss & his family. When I got home, I calculated the entire bill & sure enough, I was overcharged by $ 57.35. I will never recommend this place. Food is not that great & very dishonest employee.

Just ate here for the first time and have to say that I won’t be back. I ordered the Mo Shoo Pork, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Combination Chow Mein. The Mo Shoo was below average and the Hoisen sauce they use is pretty bitter. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was soggy, not crispy at all and the sauce they use is as americanized as it can get. I know they only lightly fry the chicken on purpose,(which is fine if it tastes good) but unfortunately it doesn’t work well at all with how much sauce they dump on top of it. The Chow Mein was just meh, not terrible but not that good either. On top of that, the prices are really expensive compared to their competitors, the portion sizes are pretty small compared to others and the food just isn’t as good. Now it’s not the worst chinese food I’ve ever had, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. IMO the Eastern Pearl is a way better option and it also is cheaper, more authentic, bigger portion sizes and has flat out better food. Plus it’s right down the street from Golden Chopsticks.

This was… ok. First, the hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. It was quite bland. Then I ordered the shrimp with cashews. There were five shrimps and 8 cashews in it. For $ 11 off the lunch menu, I expected a bit more. The entrée was tasty, but for the price? Eh. And while I know rent is higher at a mall, I’m used to lunch menu’s not running $ 10-$ 11, but more like $ 8-$ 9.

Terrible food court chinese food, but actual chinese food prices. Maybe i ordered the wrong thing? How can you go wrong with vegetable chow mein? Pan fry the noodles, add the sauce and veggies on top… Golden yellow colored… NOPE. Just noodles stir fried in soy sauce with veggies. One big soggy brown pile. 2 stars for nice service.

Wonderful, wonderful Chinese food. People should be aware that there are 2 other restaurants with the same name that are NOT affiliated with this restaurant. My husband is a bit of a Chinese food expert, and we have been coming here since it’s opening. Every dish we have ordered has been outstanding. There is plenty of food, it is beautifully prepared, and of course rice and tea are served. It is not at all«Americanized», it is authentic Chinese food, so if that is what you want, this is the place to come for it. I really have to think from the descriptions by others that they were at a different restaurant or just used to sweet and sour everything. They have a huge menu here, and everything is outstanding. Whenever we have friends or relatives over and we want to go out to eat, this is where we go. It’s truly amazing. The service is outstanding, and they remember us from many years ago when we used to come here with our 3 little children, who are now much older, and live their own lives. But they ask about them and make us feel very welcome, like family.

So we decided, for once, to go to a restaurant without Unilocaling. Yeah, never doing that again. The ambience here is terrific — cozy seating, and the servers were nice too. That said, the food was So Very Average. Uninspired even. I am not Chinese, so I don’t usually worry about ‘authentic taste’ but the food here was only marginally better than what I could have muddled through myself. I ordered the strawberry beef(yeah okay, so maybe I deserved a little of what I got) and it tasted like beef done up in jam. No joke. My date had it a bit better since he ordered Chicken in Black bean sauce. It tasted fine, if a bit bland. Their quantities are generous, though the food was bit pricy considering general lack of flavor and lackadaisical presentation. That said, I still wish we had just gone to Chipotle.

The food is excellent the prices are steep that’s why no 5 stars. They have the biggest table I’ve seen, need a excuse to have a party just to sit at it.

I like Golden Chopsticks — it’s one of the few Chinese restaurants where I like to eat in the actual restaurant(as opposed to taking it home to eat). The ambiance is nice, clean, and modern, although as other reviewers have commented, it is dominated by a large table that seats upwards of 20 people and that is usually vacant. It seems to be family owned as I am always greeted by the same woman, and she remembers me, which I appreciate. The food is good, if Americanized, Chinese food, with all the usual items you’d expect. I like the Snow White Chicken, which is chicken in a very mild sauce. The Kung Pao was a little too heavy on the vegetables and not spicy enough. My daughter likes the potstickers and spring rolls which are nice but not exciting. What frustrates me about the restaurant is that each time we go, I’m startled when I get the bill — the prices seem high to me. Maybe it’s just the location, as I often feel that way in other Redmond Town Center restaurants. Still, we keep coming back — it’s consistent, the staff are really nice, and it’s easy to park and get a table.

Americanized Chinese food at its extreme. Like, extremely bad. It’s kind of jarring how over here in Redmond Town Center there is this place, and not too far away is Eastern Pearl where they actually do Chinese food right. Golden Chopsticks isn’t quite like Panda Express; it tries to be P. F. Chang’s but fails even in that regard. This is the oddball restaurant that has nothing going for it other than the location and the fact that it’s casual dining. To put it simply, the food here is overpriced. You could knock two or three dollars off some of the items on the menu and that overpriced tag could still apply. I don’t know where these people get the idea that their food is worth that much. I looked at their lunch special menu, where everything was a bit more reasonable, but still not as good as what many other restaurants have. I ordered their cashew chicken with no MSG, and I asked for fried rice instead of white rice. After a five-minute wait, they gave me a hot and sour soup appetizer which was very good. In fact, it was so original that it didn’t even resemble hot and sour soup very much. Unfortunately, that appetizer was the last thing here that impressed me. That lunch special was a long downhill tumble from here. To tell you the truth, this cashew chicken was nearly inedible. It arrived at my table ten minutes after I had ordered it, so at first I thought they had done a good job. You can’t really mess up something like cashew chicken, right? Well, I guess it’s possible if you mix it with a bunch of terrible vegetables, which they did. To top it all off, just drench the whole thing in overly salty sauce. Maybe they just wanted to add some flavor since I specified no MSG, but there was no need to go overboard. I suppose the rice was there to mitigate the flavor, but this would not have worked as I wanted to consume as little of that sauce as possible. I just left a puddle of that sauce on the plate when I was done. The fried rice, by comparison, was utterly plain and therefore a complete waste. I can’t believe I paid two dollars for tasteless fried rice to replace white rice. Other restaurants would have the courtesy to not charge you extra for fried rice, but not this one. One particular item of interest at this restaurant is a giant table that had 26 chairs to it. While eating here, I spent some time thinking about how often all those seats get filled up. More importantly, what occasion would be significant enough to warrant that table being full. If I had 25 other people and I needed to take them somewhere to eat, I promise I’ll treat them to somewhere better than this. That somewhere shouldn’t be hard to find.

Went in for a quick lunch before work and was not impressed with the food. Pricier than other places, the food is good, but not totally worth the pricetag. It wasn’t busy when I went in, so I’m not sure how the service would be during a normal seating, but our waitress was quick to refill our glasses.

This is not my first time at this place(3rd if we’re counting), but unfortunately this one may be my last. Two other times have been late afternoon and early dinner and that wasn’t so bad, but today was a lunch group of 6 including myself. The wait was terribly long and they didn’t think to serve the soup and appetizers first until I finally had to ask for the soup because we were starving. The wonton was the most colorless cup of soup I’ve ever seen and the hot and sour was so-so. The actual food is actually quite good, but the service and speed kills this place. There were two cooks, which is a decent number, but why, oh why, are there only 2 servers when the place is so big? There were lots of empty tables but that didn’t help the speed at all. The reason this place is never as packed as Thai Ginger is not because of the food(although I prefer Thai over Chinese). It’s the service. Fix that and maybe more people will come and eat here.

Well, at least the place is clean! Friendly, if not awkward, service isn’t enough to change any of my ratings, but why would you charge for rice by the scoop? The Orange Chicken was tasty, but the Honey Walnut Prawns were soggy and served with wilted greens! Also, why would a restaurant serve appetizers in prime numbers? That’s just asking for the whole group to turn on each other. This restaurant’s center table(seats 26?) looks very impressive, and the atmosphere is pretty chic and modern. The chopsticks were high quality so the name kind of makes sense. I bet this place is really fitted for overpaid IT folks with no prior knowledge or expectation of tasty and balanced Chinese food. Hardly anything in RTC would be overpriced for them. So that’s a home run? The whole experience just left me and my friends so confused when we had left.

Stopped in with a friend for lunch while shopping in the mall. Always on the hunt for real Chinese and really good Chinese. The food was OK. They charge extra for rice. The service was poor. No one was at the host stand for us or for anyone we saw come in after us. We were all rushed in and not welcomed. Our waitress acted like she didn’t want to talk to us and never came to check on us. We never saw her beyond taking the order and dropping off the check. We had to wave another person down for napkins and refills. Their kitchen is in plain sight and that includes all of the dirty dishes — ew. Not good for the ambiance factor. The décor beyond that was all right. The bathroom could have used a cleaning. Looking at most of the bad reviews, I’m super confused. I’ve been here a couple times for lunch & dinner & it has yet to disappoint me. I always get the General Tsong’s chicken which is super yummy! I recommend it for sure. Some Unilocalers got it right by saying that this place always seemed empty. That is something I have to agree with, would be sketchy to me if I were to try this place for the first time.
