After the remodel in 2014, the café 30 is pretty neat. I like the new section for order-to-made pizza counter, though takes longer time, it makes the pizza more fresh and no waste food. The new hot meal session provides more options in hot food as well. I also appreciate the free fuse water dispenser, with cucumber, strawberry and ice tea available. I usually order salad or soup for lunch, partly because I can check it out at the self-service counter without waiting line, which is another plus. For salad, I like that now the café provides really fresh vegetables and meat, definitely better than the old one. You can tell it from the color of green leaf vegetables. The hot dishes in the salad bar is really nice, because they change the options each day, including Asian and Mexican flavored food. Those hot salad choices goes out fast, but they have extra in the tray under the counter. Sometimes the staff is busy and forgot to refill so you need to remind them. Need to work on the label though, once I saw some pork tonkatsu labeled as ‘Asian Pork’. Like their soup too, usually hot and very solid. Especially my favorite chili and beef soup. With big chunks of meat, it’s hard to say if it’s stew or soup. But totally worth the money. Check the picture I posted here. The dessert and snack session provides some fancy sweets now, like tiramisu and cheesecake. However I miss the old café with after 3:00pm half price promotion. I’m just glad we have such a good café close by.
