Went here for my brother’s birthday last night. The wait was about 30 minutes, but totally worth it! Our waiter Juan was great! I had the Ravioli Portobello… it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Super creamy aurora sauce, tasty peas, mushrooms, and giant ravioli. We all got different dishes: fettuccine spaghetti and lasagna. Everyone cleared their plates. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some amazing Italian food! I will be back! The only thing I would have to say that I didn’t enjoy was the small space. I did learn that they just moved to this new location, but maybe an even bigger spot would be better. Don’t let that deter you from trying this place out though! No reservations, so come earlier than you plan on eating since you will most likely be waiting.

This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant on the Eastside. Everything I’ve had here has been spectacularly good, from appetizers to dessert.
Tropea is a very authentic Italian restaurant and the owner is very friendly and often does rounds to see how people are doing. Good selection of wines on hand and friendly service.
Usually end up getting one of the specials, the last one I tried was a NY steak with sauce and pasta, was excellent and pretty reasonably priced.
It’s worth noting the creamier dishes are very rich, sometimes a bit too much. If you come at a busy time, expect to have to wait 10 – 20 minutes as they don’t do reservations. I noticed parties of 2 tend to seat pretty quickly tho.
The new location is great and has more seating, although still tends to be very packed during dinner time.

My wife and I have been coming here for 12 years. Great ambiance, friendly staff, consistently good service, and excellent food. Highly recommend the rigatoni zii Teresa, or simply a bowl of spaghetti al pesto.

The pasta I had was subpar. My $ 17 spaghetti felt like a dish anyone could make at home. Nothing special.
