We had garlic wings, beef sandwich, and noodle bowl. The garlic wings was terrible. Heavily breaded, oily, did t taste like garlic wings, and the wings with barely any meat. The sandwich was ok. The noodle bowl was not that good. We won’t be coming back.

Great food, lots of options with and without meat, but really crappy service. We went on a not too busy early evening time frame(6pm), the restaurant was about 60% filled but the waiters have to be asked everything 2 – 3 times before they ask. A 30min quick dinner ended up taking 45+ mins because we would ask for something(like water, or extra plate) and they wouldn’t show up for another 5 – 8 mins before we asked for it again. The waiters just drop the plates etc. on the table with a loud bang, came and stood with the food held out for us to take from his hands instead of just keeping on the table even though the table was empty. Next time I may just do to-go.

I guess having yummy phở means you can have crappy customer service. Right when we walked in the waiter gave us attitude. He was annoyed or in a bad mood the whole time. We needed a second high chair, and that annoyed him. We ordered an iced coffee. Never got that. The 2 stars is for the food. Phở was decent, but limited selection. You get much more selection and variety at phở restaurants in the Bay Area. Hoping to find better phở restaurants in WA.

Love their sandwiches, quick and inexpensive food tasting great. Try the vegetarian sandwich with tofu! It’s juicy, full of flavor and with the right amount of spice and greens. Can’t beat it.

I’ve been coming to this phở place basically since I moved to the area in 2013. They know me on sight and don’t even bother handing me a menu anymore, just verbally confirming with me. I’ve eaten phở at maybe 15 different places in the Seattle area, northside, southside, and eastside, and Yummy Phở beats them all. The broth is flavorful and ‘crisp’ and does not have the greasy taste that almost every other phở place I’ve been to has. The side dish is always full of fresh ingredients, the meat is never chewy unless it’s supposed to be, and it’s always served hot and quickly. I see a lot of reviews that complain about the service here, and I’ve never experienced rude behavior or ‘scowls’, even when I wasn’t a regular. They’re not super expressive, but they always seated me quickly and treated me well and were fast to bring the water glass. They don’t bring another unless you ask, nor do they bother you during your meal to ask you the ever meaningless question of ‘how is everything’. I come here with a book and read while I eat because it’s one of the few restaurants where I won’t be bothered every 3 minutes by staff fishing for a bigger tip. The interior of the restaurant is always clean, if a little run down, and they bus tables almost immediately after someone has paid and left. I never see meal remains on the tables here for more than a minute. The only issue I have with the interior is that the center row of tables are all extremely close together, so if you come during a rush you might be fairly close to people you don’t know if you’re alone or with just one other person. If you’re on the east side and you want to eat a good bowl of phở, you can do a lot worse than Yummy Phở and probably not much better.

We ordered the garlic wings and Phở Combo. It tasted Ah okay. Now let’s start out with the garlic wings. The wings did not taste like garlic at all. It was very buttery and extremely oily, we were somewhat disappointed. It tasted like an overcooked stick of butter that was fried what a mixture of cornstarch and flower. We didn’t get any small plates to eat with our appetizers which was a little bit weird. As for the large bowl of Phở, The soup base was very oily and extremely hot, temperature wise. The proportions of a large bowl seemed like a medium-size bowl. There was actually more noodles than pieces of meat. Being a Phở fanatic I expect my Phở to have good proportions of meat. The service was OK probably took 15 to 20 minutes to bring out Phở. The appetizers came out three minutes before they brought out the phở soup.

Bustling restaurant near Bella Botega where everything I’ve had has been fresh and flavorful. Bahn mi and phos are nicely crafted with fresh ingredients. Can appear busy but standby, the staff is in constant motion and will have a table for you in short order.

I have only eaten here a couple of times so far, but the food is delicious! I especially like the Phở soup and even the«small» bowl is very delicious and very filling. Just wonderful food and the service was great. It was close to lunch time but we were seated quickly and the place was very full of people enjoying their meals. It’s a great location with wonderful Vietnamese food.

Great food, bad service… Actually the folks in black shirts have pretty decent service, it’s the non black shirt dude who has a terrible attitude(might be the owner or manager) Anyway, great value for food and good food. The sandwich is not bad and the phở is not bad either. The pricing is very well positioned. Do try the Vietnamese iced coffee — super awesome!

Goods — Phở was good! I got the number 3(suggested by the server). My friend got the tofu and veggie phở with veggie broth and she loved it too. Thai iced tea was also good(oh when is it not, right?). Servers were nice and got everything we asked for promptly. Place was clean and the servers were clearing the tables in a flash. Bad — the salad roll was a disappointment we got the one with tofu. The wrap didn’t taste fresh. Stuffing was ok. The peanut dip was also not that great. I’ll go with the fried tofu for appetizer next time. I want to return to this place to try other dishes. Not the salad roll again Happy eating!

So glad that I have rediscovered Yummy Phở. All that you can hope for in a Vietnamese restaurant. Fast and friendly staff, amazing, authentic Vietnamese food, very inexpensive for the huge portions. I haven’t been there for quite some time, but work has brought me back to the area. The only problem I have with their restaurant is the seating area in the middle for«tables for one or two». The tables are stacked TOOO close together. It’s like you are dining with the strangers next to you. I would try a new arrangement. .if possible.
In spite of the close proximity of the table… it’s definitely worth a visit!

Food is great… Service is just horrible. You get your food quickly which is fantastic but the man who has seated us the last few times has the personality of a friggin brick wall. So unfriendly and that alone makes me wish I didn’t like the food. There are a couple others there who are nicer and for them, and obviously the food, I will return. My eyes will always be open for a better place however. Unbelievable how bad the service is to make me want to find a new place despite the fact that I like the food. I truly hope they read these reviews and do something about it. Go to Phở House in Kirkland!!! Excellent service and food!

Update 01.31.16 Food served hot but service was cold. :( UPDATE : 12÷8÷15 Today’s weather was horrid but made for a good Phở day. After coming yesterday & experiencing the goodness, with it being minutes from our home we figured what the heck, let’s do it again. The food hit the spot indeed. This time we tried the Bahn Mi sandwich with grilled chicken. The bread was a little dry but flavor was on point. We also opted for the vegetarian eggrolls with pineapple sauce VERY tasty :), it came out piping hot ! We had another Thai tea & it was perfect. The phở this time we went for a 10 instead of the #9& that was great the meat was very tender & broth again flavorful. The con to all the pros was we were bothered & made uncomfortable by who I’m assuming was the man in charge watching us. I’m assuming it was not personal, maybe his character or personality idk but after taking our order(he wasn’t very personable but you could tell it wasn’t personal just kind of straight faced) anyway nevertheless my husband & I noticed he did with thought the duration of our meal & it made me uncomfortable so I kept smiling & being nicer & nicer with every interaction but to no avail. Nevertheless the food is great & a great value & of quality so we will be back 12÷7÷15 Yummy food, friendly & decent service. The phở was hot & flavorful. The rare meat tastes fresh & of quality. The price is reasonable for what you receive. The sample like platter was a new dish we tried & it was very good, flavorful also. The chicken skewer was tender & the shrimp was decent quality. The sauces provide on the table siracha and hoisin were clean & neat which is a plus. Most restaurant don’t pay attention to that detail. Very attentive service and prompt. The restaurant is a family restaurant & were attentive to kid friendly details such as providing a highchair without being asked & Togo cups of water for children. The only downside was the women’s restroom didn’t provide a changing station

2nd restaurant on our quest for finding our place for Vietnamese food on the Eastside. Small to medium sized place in a strip mall. We got there about two hours before closing on Saturday night. We walked in and one of the servers in the back signaled for us to sit at one of the tables in the back. Typical Asian restaurant greeting service so it’s all good. I could see straight away that cleanliness is lacking a bit but then again, I’m used to hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese places so it wasn’t completely surprising. We ordered the brisket and rare meat large phở and the pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl. First, the size of the large I felt was comparable to the medium size in other phở places. So the amount of food is not as much as I expected for the portion size ordered. The broth was flavorful and there was a good amount of meat so maybe that accounts for the price of the large. The bean sprouts and veggies were also fresh. The vermicelli was pretty good — there was a good amount of pork and it was marinated really well. Portion size was ok. We got our waters pretty quickly but never got them refilled. So final decision — food is pretty good but I felt that we could get just as good food in a cleaner place with better service and comparable or better prices elsewhere. If you live near the restaurant and need a quick fix, this would be an ok place.

Decent, reasonably priced Vietnamese food right by Bella Botega! We had a banh mi and a «chicken» phở. I do like that there’s a vegetarian section on the menu where they do the fake meat things(like soy chicken or whatever) in addition to their regular menu. There’s a pretty good range of vegetarian(fake meat and just vegetable) dishes here. We came in and it was packed, but we were seated quickly. It’s a pretty crowded restaurant so you’re almost elbow to elbow with the next table, but whatever. Food comes out pretty fast and customer service is okay but not spectacular. The waiting area is quite small and doesn’t have any chairs so if you come at a busy time, be prepared to stand for half an hour or so. There’s decent parking out the front.

Good prices for the portions. My husband ordered phở for all of us to go so that helped with the prices although it would obviously have been better fresh from the kitchen. Everything was packed separately so that was nice. They didn’t skimp on fixings either. Plenty of sprouts, basil, noodles, jalapenos. Oddly, it came with a sauce that tasted suspiciously like gojuchang. We didn’t mind because we love gojuchang and it was delicious in the phở. I normally add just Sriracha and this was a nice change. After we ate, we had enough for another dinner. Yeah! My husband was impressed because it had quite a variety of vegetarian items on the menu including mock meats. He was able to order a «chicken» phở without breaking his meat rule. He ordered shrimp phở for me. I assume because it came only with shrimp not with a medley of seafood. That would be maybe my only critique and there weren’t a lot of shrimp(but they were good quality).

I’ve been coming here for a few years and enjoy their phở. Fresh broccoli, carrots, peas, chicken in a delicious phở broth. It’s perfect, in every way hot, not salty accompanied with fresh sprouts, lime, thai basil. However tonight I was disappointed by the customer service. Usually it’s very welcoming and friendly today it was really cold. Hoping the off day doesn’t happen again.

My family and I have tried many phở restaurants on the Eastside, but I have to say that Yummy Phở has the best phở we have found so far. The broth was hot and not at all greasy. The noodles were chewy and generous in portion. The beef and tendon were high quality. The basil and bean sprouts were fresh. Also, no lingering post-MSG thirst that I could detect. We did order the garlic chicken wings, which were a bit on the greasy side, but the flavor was delicious. Service was very efficient — taking orders, delivering food, replenishing water, etc. Surprising considering there wasn’t an empty table in the restaurant during weekday lunch. A thumbs up for cleanliness, as well.

Phở is always great for a cold rainy day. Coworkers and I came here for phở a couple times. This phở place doesn’t just have phở(the soup noodles), they also have some hot items on the menu. I’ve ordered both soup noodles and non soup noodles. Both were pretty good within my expectation. It’s like a fast phở restaurant! You order and they deliver to you pretty quickly! I really enjoyed the fast service especially when I was hungry!
