Food is amazing and service is great, I love having the cilantro lime shrimp salad. It’s amazing. Their French press coffee is also one of my favorites, I tried meeting with some friends and I had them look up the restaurant on Unilocal and the address on Unilocal is not accurate. It has the wrong city and zip code.

Last night was the first time for us to go to the new location since Nordstrom moved. the server was very nice and polite. offered water while we were checking the menu. The arugula salad with chicken breast was very tasty, fresh, nice salad dressing and good size portion. the same with Ahi Tuna salad. we also ordered hummus, you could tell is fresh, home made. Very good service, good food, for sure we will be back to try other stuffs.

Had dinner here and loved it! My wife had the cilantro shrimp salad and I had the prime rib sandwich. Both excellent and the olive mayo horseradish was great condiment for the sandwich. We also had the chocolate cake with caramel yumm! Awesome service from all here!

This restaurant is located inside Nordstrom. When I went, there was no wait and we were seated right away. This place is definitely a must try if you haven’t. I ordered the Roasted Chicken Pomme Frites and it was delicious! The portions are alright. They have great service and a bit pricey but its worth it.

Pleasantly surprised with this one! So my girlfriend and I were trying to decide on where to go for dinner. We wanted to go eat somewhere they served mixed drinks and my girlfriend suggested to try out Bazille in Nordstrom. We both went here not expecting so much out of it but we had a great time at Bazille! +Before I dive into how awesome the food was at Bazille, let’s talk about their AMAZING service. I didn’t get our waiter’s name but he was so patient with us(more so me since I was having such a hard time trying to decide on what drink to order) from beginning to end. We ordered our food first since I couldn’t decide on what drink to get and when the waiter came back to take my drink order, he brought a sample of their cherry tart sangria for me to try. I actually had my eyes on this drink already but he made my decision all the more easier after sampling the drink! He also came back to check on us at the right time and his service was just pleasant all around! +Bazille serves appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, steak, pasta, and seafood risotto. Everything sounded so good but my girlfriend and I both settled on their pasta. My girlfriend ordered sautéed chicken & angel hair pasta while I ordered the shrimp linguine with spicy tomato sauce. Both our chicken & shrimp were grilled to perfect so they didn’t come out dry and kept the juiciness of both! We also really liked how it added the charred flavor to the chicken and shrimp. Pastas were cooked to al dente and sauces were very well seasoned. Nordstrom, who would have known you guys can cook such bomb food?! +My girlfriend is old fashion connoisseur so she’s pretty picky and most places don’t satisfy her old fashion cravings. Surprisingly Bazille’s bartender did a good job and she said it’s one of the better ones. My cherry tart sangria was good too! Really liked my actual blackberry chunk in it. Would definitely order it again! –One of the downside is that the food portion is on the smaller side. I mean don’t get me wrong, most girls would probably feel content to full with the portion size but since I’m a big eater, I had to wait a bit after the my meal to feel full and content lol –Oh and it’s probably a given but the food is on the pricey side! My girlfriend and I both paid about a little over $ 40 for our entrée, 1 drink and 20% tip. But it’s definitely yummy food for the convenience so the pricing is justifiable. –Lastly a lot of the food here is super high calorie! My girlfriend and I ordered the pasta because that was actually the lower calorie entrees. lol Most of the entrees were easily 1,000+ calories. EEK. Will definitely come here again after we’re drop dead tired from shopping! :)

Fun date night! I didn’t even know that. Nordstroms had a restaurant, but I’m glad that we tried it. Food was very good and the wine was stupendous. It was a very fun atmosphere and was pretty full. The service was great and the menu options were plentiful.

Great restaurant! This is an awesome choice for a date! especially with all the unique yet low calorie meals. At Bazille they encourage freshly made items, so you will not get ketchup to accompany your fries or regular dressings for your salads. But that is part of the charm. I have gotten Melissa as my server most of the times I have visited and she is great! Busy days seem to be no problem for her as she hastily goes around her taking orders and refilling drinks.(‘A’ for effort for her) **Expect a bit more wait time for your FRESH prepared meal I don’t believe they have a Happy Hour but they do have a bar area, and the mixed drinks are delicious! Even the drinks are unique and have extravagant flavor. I have yet to find a dessert I like but that’s okay, the food is filling for the most part. Compared to other restaurants at the mall and even other Nordstrom restaurants I’ve tried and visited, Bazille stands out to me above the rest. Especially for the price. It’s not cheap, but nor is it expensive, quality and service are well worth my time.

Food made with local, organic, and healthy ingredients is exactly the way I LOVE to eat. My daughter came with me to a doctor’s appointment and I decided to take her here for lunch before her spring break shopping spree. I have been eating 6×200 calorie meals for the past 28 days but binged on Easter Day so I ordered a salad to get back on track. I really wanted the Nicoise Salad with Salmon but the Warm Asian Glazed Chicken Salad(659 calories) was a little lighter so I could eat more later. I really love department store dining because you can get totally satisfying healthy entrees: the Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad(577 calories) looked so good that I almost wanted to change my order and the Ginger Crusted Ahi Tuna Salad(492 calories) was another good option. If you wanted to indulge, there is plenty of that, too. My daughter got the prime rib french dip(1513 calories) :P

The dining options around Del Amo Mall have really gotten a makeover in the past year. After the opening of Nordstrom, Bazille made its appearance on the second floor as an upscale café with a full bar. I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon with a few co-workers and no reservations. We were seated right away as the restaurant was not full to capacity. Two things stood out to me right away: 1. The menu includes calorie count next to each item and gluten free items(this makes it much easier to choose which item to order) and nutritional information for each item is available online 2. It is an open kitchen style café(sneak peak into how the food is prepared). From the lunch menu, I chose the nicoise salmon salad and white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. The nicoise salad was presented very nicely on a white dish with baby greens, romaine, herb crusted salmon, green beans, olives, red onions, potatoes, egg, capers, and a balsamic vinaigrette(minus the tomatoes). The salmon was a generous portion that was roasted with a nice herb crust and crispy on the outside and very rich. The hard boiled egg and salty capers gave the dish some nice layers of flavor. The fresh green beans and red onions added some freshness and bite to the dish. I also enjoyed the warm oven roasted potatoes and tangy vinaigrette. The salad was dressed properly and did not overwhelm the greens. I would order this menu item again, though the price was pretty steep at $ 16.25. The white chocolate bread pudding was as good as it sounded. It was french toast served warm with melted white chocolate, condensed milk and raspberry sauce, shaved white chocolate, fresh raspberries and freshly whipped cream. This dessert was sinful. The creamy bread dipped in the sweet and tangy white chocolate raspberry sauce was just amazing. Order this, the calories are worth it. It was pretty big and we were able to share this dish comfortably. The ambiance here is upscale, with upscale prices but a casual vibe. Nonetheless, the employees preparing the food are dressed in white chef jackets and the presentation of the food is very nicely illustrated. I enjoyed my lunch and I would re-visit if I am ever craving a rich bread pudding to go with my light nicoise salad. The parking is pretty easy as the lots surrounding the area are pretty large. The customer service here was good, our waitress was timely with checking on the table and refilling our waters. Make sure to ask for complimentary bread and olive oil.

I went to this place about 4 times in 5 months and their service, food and atmosphere never let me down. I went today evening on 03⁄25 around 7:30pm and only few tables were occupied but restaurant was nice and quite. Server(Melissa) approached right away and took our order as we were ready — she was friendly, smiling and courteous. Appetizer — fried calamari(was bit soggy and salty) so was little disappointed with that dish. Main Course — Grilled shrimp with asparagus risotto(asked for less salt in risotto) and it was cooked perfectly, shrimp was grilled to right temperature so was warm and tender to bite, asparagus was grilled nice as well. Dessert — Crème Brûlée — I ordered without sugar coating on top and was very delicious, the vanilla flavor just kicked right into the dish so well as every bite was so soft and could easily scoop out with spoon. Melissa really tried to call customer service on behalf of me to make my debit card work but it didn’t work but kudos for her efforts My only recommendation to this place is to change their bread as it’s always tough to eat as it gets very dry in short time and the olives with oil were very salty — please replace the bread with like wheat or dark brown bread and give butter with it!

Try the New York strip, roasted chicken, berry & goat cheese salad, the french onion soup and the Asian glazed chicken salad — all delicious. I can’t get enough of the kalamata aioli, it’s so freaking delicious I want to slather it on everything. The hummus lacked taste; I kept waiting for my taste buds to kick in but they never did and my dinner guest confirmed it just didn’t have any ummph. Calamari was decent but really there was nothing memorable about the taste. Nice that they have a full bar(and I love the giant square ice cubes!) Don’t like their wine pours though, they’re skimpy… for the price. Service has been terrific on all of our visits. Parking can get wonky, especially during the holidays or peak times.

Located on the 2nd story of Nordstrom, as expected, Bazille is a nice stop before or after shopping. This time I ate outside on the terrace. I ordered the shrimp salad which was a good choice. The server was great too. Over the course of an hour, I felt the sun scorching me and next time, I’ll either sit inside or away from the railing.

I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. I came for lunch on a Saturday around 11:45am and it was super packed. TOOCLOSEFORCOMFORT We had a nice table by the window but the tables are ridiculously close together… so close where you can hear everything being said to your right and to your left, whether you like it or not. I just felt uncomfortable… definitely not the place for you if you are looking to have a deep conversation. TURN&BURN Another negative was our server. I felt incredibly rushed from the minute I sat down. It wasn’t more than 60 seconds after I picked up my menu that our server was asking if we were ready to order… when I said not yet, she left and came back a minute later asking the same thing. This happened a few times… and ironically when we were ready to order, she was nowhere to be found. DO-IT-YOURSELF This was the theme of the day with the food. First up, was the bruschetta, which was very odd and the ratios were all wrong. You get a platter of tomato slices and burrata drizzled with olive oil and balsamic glaze. All fine and good, but then there’s a huge pile of pesto(way too much) and this«chunk» of bread that you have to slice yourself and then construct your own bites. The bread is soft so cutting it with your butter knife is difficult and it shreds the bread. It’s just a pain in the ass… cutting the tomatoes, cutting the bread, spreading the pesto, putting it all together with the shredded bread chunks and eating it with a fork. For my entrée, I had the sautéed chicken and angel hair pasta. Again, it tasted«ok,» nothing special but the way it was presented was like a deconstructed version of the dish. It was a very thin piece of chicken, a tad rubbery, placed on top of plain angel hair pasta with huge chunky tomatoes and mushrooms on one side and then then the rosemary beurre blanc on the other side. Would it have killed the chef to toss it together? So, I had to do it myself, which isn’t exactly easy considering all of the ingredients involved. Overrated food and high prices(considering the quality of the food). Mehhhh.

The Bazille burger was good, but nothing i hadn’t experienced before at a nice-ish lunch spot. The crab bisque was sweet, a little spicy, and crabtastic, for lack of a better word. And I noticed that almost everybody else in the restaurant was ordering their salads, which seemed large and unhealthy, just the way I like them. Our server was friendly, and they were well staffed, which is always a plus. I think once Din Tai Fung opens right down the way, this place will be forgotten as a Del Amo dining choice, especially with Great Maple and Frida right next door. I guess it’s convenient if you want to eat lunch without having to leave Nordstroms…

I will have to say this place is quite lovely! Especially that you can be shopping and shopping and find yourself DROPPING into Bazille! Do wander over and see if there is somewhere you can pop up at the bar if you are a two-some or dining with your lonely you. =o While perusing the menu, I didn’t happen over anything basil in it, or did it? As I was quite overwhelmed with the drink list and other libations over the bar, I did happen to come across my favorite hummus! When it arrived, it was quite simple. Totally hit the mark of flavor. They didn’t overwhelm the palate with all kinds of raw garlic — which I hate(overpowers my drinks and breath). Bazille jazzed up the texture with a few extra garbanzo beans, and dressed up the plate with some pita — I DID ask for a few more pieces of pita — they were a little to «simple» on the number of pita pieces. I think the pieces added up to two pitas…(Restaurants should know, peoples eat carbs THIS week — its NEXT week they aren’t eating carbs… gosh). All kidding aside, the drink and hummus was a delightful snack to keep me going for the afternoon. They have a great tv in the bar, so anyone can catch up on their favorite sports game while they shop, too! :) Happy eating and happy shopping!

I’m impressed with just about everything at Bazille. The immediate seating. The friendly host. The waitress that knew all about the menu, was extremely attentive and accommodating. We chose a high top table, just us girls, and ordered the split pea soup and the hummus appetizer to split. The food came out quickly, and the soup was a nice veggie base and bite sized pieces of bacon! It had loads of flavor and piping hot, perfect for a cold afternoon. The appetizer was hummus and pita bread, all made in house. SO good! The hummus was perfectly creamy, garbanzo beans and kalamata olives on top, plus toasted pita triangles. They need to add more pita to that plate for all that hummus! I had to ask for more! Again, the staff was very kind, not once giving us a hard time about anything we needed. I would come here again, most definitely.

Unilocal challenge 2016(12⁄100) I came here with my mama on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience here is great! We sat in the outside patio on the second floor and it’s really nice. Bastille is pretty everything you’d expect for a Nordstrom’s restaurant. It’s really nice and casual, and the food here is pretty good! It’s just a little bit expensive portions wise for me. I recommend the Prime Rib Dip and the Crab Mac and Cheese! They were both pretty good! The prime rib dip was warm, the bread was perfectly toasted, and it had some melted cheese on it. The crab mac had a good amount of crab and it came with my favorite orecchiette pasta. Service was pretty fast since it wasn’t crowded when we got there.

Bazille What a delightful surprise. Who would think that Nordstoms would have such a great lunch counter and scrumptious food. I stopped by to look at the menu, saw some lovely dishes on a nearby table and decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. I ordered the ginger crusted ahi tuna salad. It was exquisite — perfectly seasoned with ginger and a spicy Thai basil vinaigrette. Just delightful. I ordered a Pinot Grigio from Santa Cristina. It was good but not the best choice for this salad. Perhaps a Sauvignon would be better. This was a bit too sweet but my fault, not theirs. They even give you a chocolate mint with your check. Just lovely.

If you want a place with good food, but not too loud so that you have to scream at each other to be heard all night, this is the perfect spot. It is nestled in the second floor of Nordstrom, facing Hawthorne Blvd. They have balcony seating as well, including heaters for chilly evenings. The food here has been pretty good. The calamari isn’t my favorite, but it’s reliable. They did allow us to substitute marinara for the sweet chili sauce, because I didn’t care for the chili sauce the first time around. I preferred the bruschetta appetizer over the calamari. It’s not presented as a typical bruschetta, with the tomatoes on top of the crostini. Instead, the bread is served with several slices of marinated tomatoes. I absolutely love burrata, so the fact that it came with burrata and pesto to basically«build your own» bruschetta was amazing. I also tried the French onion soup, which was actually really good! A lot of times, I find that the soups can over-reduce and become salty, but the soup here was not. The cheese is amazing and crusted on rim of the bowl. I enjoyed peeling these pieces off and snacking on them while waiting for my entrees. I’ve tried several entrees here. I think I was most impressed by the salmon dish with a mushroom risotto. The risotto was nicely cooked, and really delicious. But that salmon was the star. It had a nice crispiness to the outside, and the inside was cooked perfectly. It was so tender, and not overcooked. I’m always skeptical about ordering fish, but they pretty much nailed it on the head. I have also tried the steak frites and the Bazille burger. The steak was a perfect medium rare both times people ordered it. It comes with a delicious herby compound butter on top. The burger was also delicious– perfectly juicy and medium rare, just as I ordered it. It’s one of the better gourmet burgers. And the frites are nice, thin, and crispy. The only thing I don’t understand is the olive aioli they serve with the steak and the burger. But then again, I’m not a huge olive fan to start with… As for desserts, I have tried the apple crumble with vanilla gelato and the vanilla bean crème brûlée. Honestly, I just had desserts to try them. They’re not bad by any means, but you can go without them, for sure. All in all, it’s good, reliable food. I think the entrees are better than the appetizers in general. The food isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s not too expensive. The menu may be a little limited, but sometimes that’s what you need to get consistently good food!

Due to holiday shopping and having guests in town, I have been here too many times in December! Bazille’s has consistently great food and service! I had the same server 3x in a row and she was great each time. I am not big on bisque, but my friends raved about the crab bisque. BTW their cocktails are creative and deliciously strong. Their food is reminscent of good ol’ comfort food. Other than their super popular crab mac n cheese, I recommend their roasted chicken, lime shrimp salad and for dessert… the white bread pudding. So good!

Came here with a couple of other Unilocaler gals on Christmas Eve Eve and the ambiance was fantastic. However, the entrée(shrimp and asparagus risotto) I ordered didn’t impress my taste buds. The shrimp and parts of the asparagus were slightly burnt/charred, but not quite bad enough to send back. The risotto itself was dry and lacked flavor. It came with 1 lemon wedge, I actually asked for more lemons to enhance it. I had a bite of crème brûlée and it was cold(perhaps it came straight from the fridge). My understanding of crème brûlée is that it’s hot/warm. Maybe I’m wrong. I will give them some credit of using real vanilla bean as little pieces of it showed up at the bottom of the plate. The saving grace of this experience was the great service. Our waiter came by a couple of times and wasn’t pushy. I was also in great company. The ambiance was also great in terms of the ability to have a conversation without shouting. All the tables are spread out enough for privacy. Located on the 2nd floor inside Nordstrom. I’m willing to give this place another chance in the future.

Been here twice in one week… this place has quickly become a favorite. I hate shopping but I love this restaurant… the seating, the bar and the food. Both visits I sat within eyesight of the tv so I was able to keep an eye on football(this girl loves football!) Service was good(Gaby and Tim were our servers) both were friendly and terrific servers. We enjoyed cocktails, the Pimento and Pomelo, scratch made sangria and a Manhattan, all delish. Nice touch with the giant single block of ice in the cocktails… less dilution and looks spiffy too. I’m hooked on the salmon with farrow(again, I’m on this fish kick lately) and the French onion soup. Crab bisque was yummy… it had a nice bit of spice that hits you in the back of your throat, tasty. Flat bread, calamari and the kalamata aioli are delicious. Next time I’ll try something different… I promise, maybe.

I was first surprised by how lively and busy the place was. Lunch time on weekend, but all seats were taken and wait time was approx. 30 min. They have private tables and communal table, and we were lucky enough to get two seats in communal table right away. Right by big panoramic window, it was a beautiful spot. The waiter was absolutely kind and generous, and the food was even better. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Definitely coming back. This is the restaurant located on the second floor of the new Nordstrom at Del Amo Mall. Perfect place to stop for a bite while shopping! They have seating at the bar, indoors at tables or booths, and also out on the balcony. I’ve been here twice now and had a good experience both times. I didn’t see it on the menu but our server told us about their SANGRIA which I’m SO glad she did! My husband and I both got it and it was delicious! It tasted like a holiday sangria with the cinnamon and nutmeg spices infused in it! SOOO yummy! For starters, we’ve tried the AHITUNAPOKE and the CRISPCALAMARI. Both were tasty and I would order them again. The ahi tuna poke had a very shoyu-like marinade and it came with an Asian slaw and wonton chips. Good combination of flavors and textures. I highly recommend the FRESHBERRY&FIGSALADWITHGOATCHEESE! OMG. I can’t believe a salad can taste this good and it’s only 617 calories. It came with baby greens, arugula, dried mission figs, candied almonds, raspberries, strawberries, goat cheese, and an amazing vanilla bean vinaigrette! Definitely one of my favorite salads of all time! I was literally scraping the plate for every last bit. I would definitely get this again! We also really enjoyed their MARGHERITAPIZZA. It was delicious, simple and tasted fresh. I enjoyed this a lot more than the Prosciutto & Arugula Salad Pizza which was a little too salty for my liking. Service was very friendly and nice! :)

Bazille is a hidden gem in Nordstrom. It is not a mall café but a proper bistro with a wide variety of food and cocktails. They also have a decent wine list, a glass of bubbly always make shopping easier :) My favorite thing on the menu is the Asian glazed chicken salad. It is perfectly portioned and so tasty. Second favorite is the crab bisque… So creamy and delicious. If you like salmon, the salmon and risotto is highly recommended. Even though it is in a department store, it gets really busy on the weekends, so be prepared to drop your name on the list and shop around for a few minutes before getting a table. And save room for the bread pudding!

Also tried a little of the crab bisque steak and fries and prosciutto and arugula salad pizza. Also pretty good. Tried the noreastern(like a Moscow mule) and grape vine. Delicious. On the 2nd floor of the newly opened Nordstrom at Del Amo Fashion Center, lies one lovely restaurant in the form of Bazille. Diners can enjoy Bistro fine dining and drinks in a lovely indoor area or an outdoor patio. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, so diners can come here any time Nordstrom is open! I recently dined here and was very impressed with the entrees that my friend and I ordered. I got the Roasted Chicken Pommes Frites and my friend got the Sauteed Chicken with Angel Hair pasta. Both dishes were very impressive and delicious. My roasted chicken was one flavorful and big dish! I loved the flavor of the herb butter along with a hint of lemon. The pommes frites matched the crispy chicken nicely. The kalamata olive aioli for the pommel frites was so flavorful and perfect for these bistro fries and the chicken as well. I still can’t believe how big the portion of the chicken was. It’s good for two meals! My friend’s sautéed chicken with angel hair was also lovely. Long angel hair pasta along with tender chicken, this is one dish, I wouldn’t mind ordering myself in the future. I’ve always been a fan of Nordstrom for shopping but now because of Bazille, I am Nordy girl not just for the shopping but for the dining as well. My dining experience here is equivalent to eating at sophisticated bistro. Great tasting food and lovely presentation, I enjoyed my meal here very much. Thanks Nordstrom Del Amo for not only making my shopping self happy but my foodie self as well ;).
