I have problem hair (fine thin and prone to breakage) I’m extremely picky of who I let touch it. I trust Amber above all. She just understands hair. Always suggests ways to improve my hair health and cuts that are more flattering. Color scares me because I’ve had really bad past experiences so until recently I hadn’t had my hair colored in 8 years. After battling my greys I finally decided to let Amber work her magic. I love it! We went close to my natural color but with a little kick of red. I got a cut while I was at it. If you’re ever on the fence about your current stylist or looking for a stylist that really cares about your hair, give these ladies a try. You will not be disappointed.
I haven’t had any work done by Jaclyn but I’ve seen her work while getting mine done and its fantastic. I love the products they use also.

Adorable little salon and I go to Tanya there. She’s very professional and does a great job. Prices are a bit more, but I’ve learned my lesson, it’s worth it to pay a bit more and get a professional cut and color that looks great.

Jaclyn, Amber, and the entire Bobby Pin team are the best! :) I was referred by friends who have been getting their hair done by Jaclyn for a long time now, so I already knew the talent that I was going to be getting. With that said, by the time I finally called and made my appointment my blonde hair, specifically my bangs, had turned themselves into a natural ombré which was ~not~ my best look. I left with a perfectly sandy, new blonde look, along with new BFFs. Can’t wait to go back!

I cannot say enough about this place. Jaclyn literally brought my hair to modern times. I had previously been rocking a simple one length and one color of hair for a long time. It got to be a little boring to say the least. The first time Jaclyn cut my hair I finally had some movement to my hair and it looked so good. Today we did some color, it’s the third time I have had my hair treated by her and I would not have it any other way. Love love love my hair! I can’t wait to have it touched up again and maybe try something different before the holidays. This place is a one stop shop to a get great hair and makeup. It’s like having your own glam squad. I can’t thank Bobby Pin Salon enough for how they have revived me hair. I have never been great with my hair or styling but coming here has changed that for me! It’s a fun and wonderful experience.

A much needed new age salon in south Redondo beach!!! This cute boutique salon is run by two young talented women, offering amazing services and products without the hefty price tag of other boutique salons in the area. Very highly recommended!

After over three years of searching for a new stylist in the South Bay and never being completely happy, I finally got a referral from a friend to go see Amber at Bobby Pin… and I am IN LOVE!!!
My first visit was just my usual simple color… darker brown. I explained to her issues I continually run into at other salons and she not only listened, but did exactly as I asked and I left that salon with the perfect color!
Second visit… a hair cut! No joke… the BEST haircut I can ever remember getting!
After two times of being extremely happy with the outcome, I decided I was ready to FINALLY lighten my hair and Amber was the only one I knew I could trust to do it. And when I say «finally», I mean the last time I had lightened my hair was when my best friend from high school did it for me at home back in the late 80’s.
Last night was the big night and I am so happy I finally gave in! It was the perfect transition color. By doing it this way, it prevented my hair from getting damaged and it was just enough to really see the change without me going into shock. I can’t wait to go back to maybe… just maybe… lighten it up some more!
I truly couldn’t be happier! I finally found the stylist of my dreams and I want the world to know about her! And did I mention she is funny as hell!!!

Bobby Pin made my life worth living again! I’ll never go anywhere else. Jaclyn should get the Pulitzer Prize for hair!

In Jaclyn I trust, seriously! I’m terribly indecisive and she just makes magic happen. She text messages, great location, accept credit cards and she is very accommodating. Phone chargers, drinks, music she has it all.

I cannot even begin to rave about this salon and Amber enough! Amber has been doing my hair since last October and always leaves it fabulous. She’s been gradually turning me blonder and always does a great job! She is very professional and always makes sure to make time for me and tries her best to work around my schedule and my moms. The salon is super cute and the energy is great! I love that you can text the salon for appointments!

Amber has been my hair stylist for yeeeeears! I’m
talking since her days in San Pedro. I am so proud to see her growth throughout the years and it has finally culminated into the Bobby Pin Salon.
The salon is located on PCH near the avenues. There is only street parking. However, there was ample parking in front of the salon (my appointment was on a Saturday at 9 AM). My appointment wrapped up around 11:30 AM and there was still plenty of parking in front of the salon. The salon itself is small, charming, and chic. I love that it’s not like the usual loud hustle and bustle of the larger salons.
Amber is hands down the best stylist in the South Bay! I’ve been to multiple salons and stylists, but I always come running back to Amber. My hair is always healthy and beautiful with her. She listens to what you want and isn’t afraid to give her honest opinion on the look you are trying to achieve.
Jaclyn is amazing too! Amber set me up with Jaclyn when I needed an urgent appointment to correct my cut and color. She worked a miracle on me. LOL!
Both ladies are extremely talented and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their salon!!!

Just came to the new salon Bobby pin! Been going to Amber for years and the new salon is gorgeous! Such a great atmosphere and love the ocean breeze!

both amber and jaclyn have done my hair numerous times and I don’t trust anyone else anymore to come anywhere close to my hair!
amber has a knack for long hair and she always is directing me on how to better care for my hair and always comes up with a couple of options of colors and cuts that will look better on me. and I LOVE that she directs me– she’s not afraid of being blunt and honest– her personality and communication are a sell in itself… and then she does miracles with my hair. like… stop being so perfect. she’s a blonde color master I feel like she could do a full highlight with her eyes closed and it would still be better than most.
jaclyn is an annoyingly talented colorist. she’s taken my hair from brown to blonde to pink to blonde to pink to natural… all the while keeping my hair in really really good condition. she’s basically an encyclopedia for hair and everything about it. I trust her innately to come up with a solution for what I want because I’m so indecisive and I love feeling safe to leave the results up to the professional– which rarely happens for me because I’m so quick to label someone as incompetent and I don’t trust people to carry out my vision, ever.
