This places the Hidden Gem of the Riviera! The food is great. I ordered the flautas Casa dinner. Monica was especially helpful! I’m definitely coming back.

I love my Mexican food and this is good. Small and simple but delicious, fresh, hot food. Great value too!

This is my go-​to burrito spot. Their al pastor is incredible, and their green salsa goes on most food I cook. Friendly service, quick to get your order out, and owned and operated by a local family. They even gave my friend some wall space to put up some of his photos. Definitely the best casual Mexican joint in the South Bay.

The food is terrific, especially for the price. I felt bad for the employees, though, they looked a little frazzled when I went there.

In a town loaded with great Mexican food this restaurant stands tall and should definitely be added to your Mexican food routine.

I have eaten here 3 or 4 times but ordered delivery on countless occasions, this place really is very good and you will not be disappointed when you try it for yourself

Entirely overrated Tostada with ground beef. the soft taco with mahi was ok… definitely not the best or great for that matter. Delivery was fast… I’d rather wait longer for a good $ 15 meal though.

Awesome staff and great food. Couldn’t ask for a better local spot to eat. I highly recommend it to anyone. The chicken quesadilla is always good as well as the crunchy chicken tacos.

We order from here all the time and I love that they deliver because sometimes we are just too darn lazy to go pick up our food! Standouts are the bean and cheese burrito, nachos, fajitas, and the Casa quesadilla. The real winner is the chicken cilantro soup! So delicious, it’s a must have whenever I am feeling under the weather!

When you want Mexican food in the village casa playa is your best choice. Share a chicken or steak plate with a lovely friend and you will not be disappointed. I love the mild salsa and large chips. Also no Mexican meal is complete without One or two trips to the orange bang machine.

Great food, great view, great service!!! My co workers and I come here for lunch almost every day. The food keeps us coming back, not to mention their very well priced lunch specials! Jake is AWESOME! He always attends to us and makes sure we get our food snappy to enjoy our hour break! And not only does he attend to us, but he’s always very friendly and keeps a smile on his face when greeting customers. He deserves a raise! :)

Was decent food but really bad service. Wanted Mexican food since it is Cinco de mayo and I was too far from ramona’s.
Well I told the cashier it was my first time there and he didn’t tell me they had lunch specials (11a-​4p) I saw this after I ordered and paid. I would of saved $ 2 for the same stuff I ordered. By not telling your customers this, you lost business!
Also they tell customers to watch themselves while they are awaiting to order. How about have less tables and chairs instead of inconveniencing your customers!

Quite possibly the best breakfast burritos on earth…
I just wished they opened earlier in the day so I can have my breakfast treat right after I drop the granddaughter off to school.
What else can be said about the joys of Mexican food that hasn’t been said? I know, I know… not everybody likes Mexican food; I get that BUT I DO. In fact I love Mexican food and Casa Playa’s food is so authentic that Donald Trump might want to build a wall around it (I’ll still get in! HA!). OK corny political jokes aside (in the trash where they belong), this place is simple and small. The boss man is a cool dude and he likes to hire young and pretty ladies to help him and his talented cook to whip up the magic in the kitchen. Well worth the gas money to get there (although I live within walking distance from this joint). The place is small but a good bet if you’re hankerin’ for something south of the boarder without having stowaways in your trunk afterwards.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, so I decided to give it a try tonight. From what I remember it used to be good, but this time, I went, it was really disappointing.
I got the nachos, which came with beans, jalapeño, cheese, pico de galleo, and sour cream. It was not that good. I ordered over the phone and picked it up a few minutes after. When I got it I ate in the car and it was cold. First of all proper nachos construction involves layering cheese in between the layer of chips so each bite and layer of nacho has at least some cheese. But at casa playa they seem to lack this seemingly commonsense sense of how to build a proper plate of nachos. There was barely any cheese. After I got through the first layer of chips, the second layer had absolutely no cheese or toppings.
On the other hand, the service was quite nice. I havnt tried anything else on the menu, but I imagine that if they cant even get a simple dish like nachos right how can they get anything else right. But I will give it another chance in the distant future.

I have been a regular at Casa Playa for years! Whether I’m dining in, taking out or ordering for delivery I am never disappointed! The staff is always up beat, friendly and pleasant. I usually stick to my veggie tacos, but on the occasion I venture out and get a wet burrtito (which are huge and I can never finish!). Casa never disappoint and i’ll remain a weekly regular!

I eat at this place every day. Everything they make is absolutely awesome. Every night I have four Asada tacos for dinner. This stuff is truly authentic. Every salsa they make is perfect. No, I’m not a shill, I’m actual regular and you can find here around 8:30 every night picking up my dinner.
If you’re bringing a child who doesn’t like the spicy stuff, ask for Asada and cheese tacos or a chicken n cheese quesadilla.
Protip: their «little spicy» salsa goes well on anything and always ask for a full bag of their full-​sized corn chips.

I ordered the dinner for delivery & it comes w a lot food but the steak was burnt & over cooked… bummer!
went back & tried a fish taco & a steak taco… both where blah… nothing to write about

I’m so glad that there’s a Mexican spot that delivers past 8 PM around Redondo Beach! Not only that, but it’s surprisingly quick! By the time I placed my online order, my food got here in 30 minutes. In my opinion, more places should be open to delivering like Casa Playa. That’s honestly the best way not to deal with customer service and it gets you exactly what you want in a matter of minutes! I’ve actually been to the physical location out of curiosity for takeout and I haven’t encountered anything harsh or rude from the customer service like these other Unilocalers have.
I usually order the cheese quesadilla with carnitas add-​on as well as the chicken fajitas plate. Couldn’t be any more satisfied with my meal! You definitely get what you pay for, and it fills me up quite well! Any time I’m in the mood for take-​out Mexican dishes, I’m glad to know that Casa Playa is around.

3.5 Stars, so I’m somewhat inclined to round up to Unilocal’s ⁴⁄₅.
Here’s why:
1) Delivery IS an option for Mexican via Eat24. This is huge when you’ve worked a long day, not been sleeping well, and just need to stuff your face. +1
2) The food came so super fast that I barely had time to finish putting my pajamas on. Speed wins points with me. +1
3) The food was hot, fresh, and not mushy, or gross. +1
4) The fajita portion was rather large, the chicken was good, plentiful onion and peppers. +1
5) They gave us enough chips to gag a donkey… and they were free. +1
6) Prices were much better than expected!!! +1
7) We made a few special requests and they honored most if not all. +1
So that’s a Rating of a 7… right ?!? Well, here’s the minuses:
1) We ordered a couple ground beef tacos, got shredded beef instead and one of them was all fat… so that taco was inedible. –1
2) Asked for no rice (all beans) with the fajitas and noted I’d prefer black beans, we got a foil tin of about 6 pounds of refried bean «soup» as the refried beans were all liquid. –1
3) The $ 3.50 side of guacamole is a very small plastic cup. No bueno. –1
4) The salsa was decent. Meh, not a negative, but any Mexican joint has to have stand out salsa in my book… make that be what brings customers back. –0.5
So there you have it. A solid, fast, cost-​effective, good go-​to delivery Mexican spot so I can crap out on my couch, watch Big Bang Theory re-​runs, stuff my face, and then fall asleep to the sound of my neighbor fighting with his insane daughter.

And allow them to sit smack in middle of tables and allow them to eat off there silverware
