On weekends there’s almost always some kind of wait. Which is not too bad. This place is super local and not fancy by any means they say«It’s where hungry fishermen go to eat».(They open at 5am). Definitely a laid back atmosphere. While you wait you get to enjoy the views of the water; tons of paddlers, fishermen and boats coming and going from the deck. The meals are decent. I’ve had the stack of pancakes once, fluffy enough, as well as the Egg Sandwich that was good too. Also, once tried the country fried steak. Quite the serving. This is just one of those A-Ok places and staple to the Redondo Beach as it has been there since«before the first war», they say. With waterside views, in one of the oldest unnamed piers: it’s a vintage place.

Great place for breakfast with a view. Everything on the menu is very affordable and the service was great. I could even see a baby seal from our table!

Had the spinach, mushroom, and polish sausage omelette which comes with biscuit and gravy and hash browns. Food was delicious, great customer service. Everyone was attentive and friendly, loved our breakfast.

I only gave this place 3 stars because of the location. people on the pier were very entertaining and we saw someone catch a fish. However, it was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. The waitress gave zero fucks and didn’t even get our order correct. The breakfast sandwich with egg and sausage had mayo, lettuce and tomato which is disgusting.

Polly’s is a classic greasy spoon breakfast joint with a California twist. The crab omelette has chunks of real crab — no imitation here — and homemade, spicy ranchero sauce. Order a side of it if you don’t get the huevos rancheros. Now the real draw of Polly’s — the view. Sit outside and watch the waves break against the breakwater. Fishermen have lines out down the pier from the tables, and a surly pelican(aren’t all pelicans surly?) waits for tossed-off bait. All in all, Polly’s is an inexpensive place to grab a solid breakfast. That’s something Californians and non-Californians alike can appreciate.

Very good breakfast… Friendly funny hostess warmly greeted us on entry. Very attentive and witty. For that matter, the chef was pretty attentive and witty too! Crispy bacon, was very crispy… pancakes huge and tasty… scrambled eggs perfectly scrambled with no snots: D About $ 10 cash for eggs bacon and pancakes. Spectacular beautiful view as if you’re on a barge on the water… with no rocking. I’d bet its a great destination for boaters, there’s a port adjacent.

Not many places left like this in The South Bay. The food is excellent and you can’t beat the views. Bacon guacamole omelette, chili cheese omelette, corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy… can’t go wrong.

It is a really great mom and pop shop. The waitress was pretty nice and helped us find seating. You can’t beat the spot because it is located right on the pier. You can see the waves crashing because you’re basically sitting in the ocean! They have big windows that face outside. There wasn’t that much seating but fortunately, we found seating. The food was pretty tasty. I got the chicken sandwich. The chicken was grilled to perfection and seasoned well. Everything was pretty above average for a delicious chicken sandwich. I also got cole slaw with my meal that was pretty tasty too. Someone in our group got the fish and chips. When the order came, the plate was overflowed with chips. They also had four large pieces of fish too. This is more generous than other seafood places. Remember before you leave to get your parking ticket stamped.

Not a good look. Coffee was most bitter, orange juice was yellow, homemade bran muffin was crumbly and over cooked, and eggs and potatoes were not seasoned. Crab Melt was a let down as well. Imitation crab is very obvious. Great Location but kitchen needs work.

Polly’s on the Pier is a really great breakfast spot. Sadly, I say breakfast and not brunch. I misread the website and they don’t serve mimosas, just light beer. Although otherwise I never would have had the coffee which was pretty good, so I’ll chalk it up to a tie. You go to Polly’s because you want a solid breakfast meal with a waterfront view. I really enjoyed my Jack & Guacamole omelet with the addition of Ortega chili. Pro-tip, Ortega chili is not a meat chili; it’s actually a type of pepper. It comes with hash browns and your choice of toast. The portion was large and everything was cooked perfectly to order. We sat on the pier and got to watch fishermen fish and the birds land, all with a waterfront view. The service was fine during our visit, although when it came time to settle up, our server dropped off the planet. Despite the lack of mimosa and some slow service at the end, I was happy with the view and my omelet.

This is one of my favorite brunch place! It is located on the pier, so people like me who loves ocean, this is a perfect place to enjoy some ocean scenery while enjoying yummy brunch. I have tried omelets, old fashion breakfast with french toast, and country fried steak and all of them were yummy. I liked everything I have tried there so far. Their french toast is very good. I have tried french toast at bunch of different brunch places, but this one was my favorite so far. Nothing fancy, but classic good. The staffs are nice and friendly too. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for a good brunch place while you enjoy ocean, this is the definitely a place for you. They validate for the parking lot so it is pretty good. The place can get busy on the weekends. The restaurant does not have AC inside. Normally, given the location, AC is probably not needed anyway. Probably some ocean breeze and fan would be enough. Foods: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars Overall Experience; 4 stars

Had the breakfast special of eggs, 2 pancakes, and a couple of sausages. $ 10.50 w/o tip. Overall the food was fair. If you decide to come here I would highly encourage you to sit outside. Your right on the pier and the combination of the sun on your face, watching amateur fishermen catching fish while the birds walk the pier in front of you makes it. Otherwise, just go to Denny’s — the food is better there.

Disappointing — twice now. First of all the setting, a filthy run down pier. People literally fish right infront of the restaurant so you’ve got the smell of white bait and fish in your face. The worst part however was the service — once we were seated, it took 10 mins for a waitress to show up. Then the food took another 25 minutes. 2 of the 4 orders were wrong — with no apology. Just an abrupt ‘well do you want to change it?‘ Food was greasy a little over cooked and just ok — but ridiculously over priced for the setting, service and quality. We ordered an omelette(ham, cheese and sausage) a 2 egg breakfast, and 2 orders of pancakes. My son immediately said the pancakes tasted funny — I tried them and they absolutely did — too yeasty or too much baking soda I don’t know — but not good. My wife ordered the French toast in place of the pancakes — the waitress messed this up. The omelette was ok, but overlooked. Wished we had gone to Denny’s…

Beautiful location! This is our first time at Polly’s on the Pier! Bacon & eggs with biscuits & gravy were excellent! My husband had the veggie omelet with fresh fruit and a freshly baked blueberry muffin which was super tasty! Super friendly service! Cassie was our waitress, and you can tell that she loves her job! It’s a cash only café. We were lucky to get seated right away.

The restaurant is smack in the middle of a small fishing boat pier. Beautiful harbor views, great friendly service, excellent(and large enough to share) Machaca omelette, good coffee, OK homemade muffins and a parade of burly stinky men bringing home their catch. What else can you ask for? Cash only.

Awesome place to have breakfast with a view of the ocean. The portions are good and tasty. They have outdoor and indoor seating so if you can’t handle too much sun I recommend the indoor seating. If your a big man like me the outdoor seating has arms so you might not be so comfortable. Indoor seating is recommended by the window.

Overall Polly’s is a good place for breakkie. Sometimes the cooks do over cook the eggs so the omelets can be dry even to the point that people return them for a new one. The other downfall is they stopped supplying the flavored creamers. The staff mentioned that a lot of patrons ask for them and not happy with the fact that they no longer supply the French Vanilla Creamers. Come on owners stop being cheap and give people what they want.

We are visiting from Chicago and we’re looking for an easy place for breakfast. Not many places were open at 8:30am and I am so happy that we found Polly’s. This authentic fisherman’s warf diner was exactly what we were looking for. The menu has a huge assortment of omelets and the pen my boyfriend chose was huge and delicious itself! He had nothing but praise for it. I got the corned beef hash and easy over eggs — exactly what I was looking for. Now for the environment — right on the water, authentic, fisherman with poles in the water right by our outdoor table. And our waitress was new but so sweet and worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect for us. If you are around Redondo do not miss the place!
