The Music Studio of Katherine Mann

Took lessons with Katherine for about 8 months before some life events made me unavailable to continue with them. Katherine is very pleasant and professional. Shes very communicative, and my ability on the piano steadily improved under her tutelage. Highly recommend. Hope to resume lessons when I’m able to in a few months.

My daughter, who was 5 and half at the time, started taking lessons with Katherine several months ago. The lessons were a very good combination of instruction and fun, focusing not just on the piano but the nature of music in general. My child really enjoyed going and both my wife and I really appreciated how easy going things were — the lessons were done out of Katherine’s home and it was a very quiet, non-​stress environment. Just perfect for a young child who shows an interest in music. There was also a regular recital, which Katherine set up in a very nice venue (which, in turn, made it all the more special for both parents and child). Sadly, we moved from the area and are unable to attend any more, but we really enjoyed it while we lived in Redondo Beach. I highly recommend Katherine to anyone; she is truly interested in teaching music and it shows in the results.

I am a beginner to the piano and found Katherine online. I’ve met with her for about 4 lessons now, and I can confidently say her lessons are fun and informative.
She takes the time to answer all of my questions and is very patient.
She is also very good with emails/​texts and usually replies back on the same day.
I have never felt rushed nor pressured during the lessons, which is important when learning something completely new.
She is also very passionate and a continuous student of the instrument. Her energy is contagious and makes the lessons enjoyable.
I would recommend Katherine for anyone looking to learn the piano or advance their skills. She also gives voice lessons, too.

I have two children studying with Katherine, a 12 year old and a 15 year old. She is always friendly and upbeat! Not only that, but it is clear that she is passionate about music and teaching. She picks up quickly on what interests each of my children and caters the lesson to their unique abilities and learning styles. I love that she incorporates music theory into the lessons and makes it interesting and exciting. Although that might be easy for my 12 year old daughter, my 15 year old son has always remained engaged and interested.

My children started taking piano lessons with Katherine a few months ago and while I know nothing about piano myself, my kids have been doing great. She provides your first lesson free just to make sure it’s a good fit for both you and for her which was nice. She is also very flexible with scheduling which is invaluable in my busy household.
