It has been some years since my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ding. We could not Unilocal him at the time because Unilocal was not around. But I think I should do so for others to beware! She has never forgotten her horrible experience with Dr. Ding. I found my daughter sobbing away when I picked her up from surgery. Due to all the packing in her mouth, she could not utter words clearly. I was so distraught and disturbed when I saw her like this. I asked the Doctor why was she crying her heart out. Oh he said, that is natural due to the anesthesia. However, when we got home and my daughter was finally able to talk, she told me that she woke up during surgery. I was just horrified when she told me this. Her mouth was wide open with all the instruments to take out her wisdom teeth in her mouth. She signaled to him with her hands and blinked her eyes to show that she was awake. My daughter told me that he still did not pay attention and kept doing his work. When finally, she became really agitated and started crying is when they gave her more anesthesia. WHAT A JERKTOWAITTHATLONG! I was so upset that I called Dr. Ding’s clinic the next day. All they said is not to worry because she will forget about it. They were sure she was asleep and will not remember anything as time passes. Well guess what?!? It has been over 10 years and she cannot forget about it. In fact, we were talking about Dr. Ding tonight over the dinner table and what a horrible experience she had. This is what made me write the review. We made sure that our younger daughter went to another oral surgeon when it was her time to have her impacted wisdom teeth removed. Though he was recommended by my brother and sister-in-law, I can only recount our experience with him. If the others were happy with his services, then good for them. Unfortunately, we are sad to say we cannot say the same.

Review from some time ago but i think this still applies. Dr. Ding was rude and ill informed. I was referred here to have my wisdom teeth removed. He told me I would have to be under general anaesthesia do to my weight, which is just incorrect. He wouldn’t look at me during most of my visit and he spent a total of about 3 seconds(literally) looking into my mouth. Plus when I walked in he was yelling at his staff from the other room saying«I don’t care who he is. Tell him he will no longer be our patient.» Somehow I don’t think I should have heard this. Very unprofessional. I didn’t have the surgery because of him.

I’m adding this review mainly to offset the positive reviews for Dr. Ding, who I personally found to be NOT as stellar as other reviewers would have you believe. To me, his manner was haughty and his office was somewhat run down. That said, I have no reason to doubt his abilities as an oral surgeon; My procedure went fine, despite his staff’s mis-communication to me on pre-operative procedures. But his manner really rubbed me the wrong way. I have been to another oral surgeon since then and her friendly tone and willingness to answer questions was like a breath of fresh air. Nuff said.
