I ordered the«Apple Empanadas». They charge $ 4.00 for a serving of two and provide cardboard food«to-go» containers, plastic utensils and paper napkins. The food truck is modern and clean. The food was still cold on the inside from inadequate reheating(the apple empanadas are stored frozen) when I first received it. The staff was very apologetic and immediately took back the food order and served it to me several minutes later at the proper temperature. The flavor and texture of the final product was unsavory. The crust was bland and extremely greasy as opposed to sweet and flakey, the Apple filling tasted unpleasantly processed and artificial. I will not be patroning this food truck again.

I want to roll around in giant vegetarian tacos! These veggie tacos were stellar.

BF raved about this place; as he is the expert on tacos, I happily took his recommendation. We tried their food and I liked the food truck: friendly staff, great quality, and they use organic ingredients. I especially like their ribs(so tender and they melt in your mouth), and BF is a fan for their mole. As of now, they only have hibiscus drinks(fresh tasting and not too much sugar/syrup, which I like), and I hope they can expand their drink selection a little(maybe some horchata?).

Cocina la Buena Vida offers high quality gourmet dishes with healthy and organic ingredients. I ordered mole plate($ 10) and a rib plate($ 10), both were well worth the price. Mole was better than what I have had in many restaurants. Plates included 3 corn tortillas, which were soft and delicious, a salad, and beans. The mild salsa was different from anything I have had before– sweet and savory. My woman had a great hibiscus drink that was not too sweet. The staff is friendly. They do cater for company events.

It’s a small food stand but holy molé!! The ribs were amazing, just so much flavor and the meat was very tender to the point it was falling off the bone. A+++ I also loved the carnitas tacos. The beans they serve with the plates are very good, too, and they had fresh handmade tortillas. Very high quality food, like you’d get from an expensive restaurant downtown. This is really a special and lucky find, and I’ll definitely come back for more. Really looking forward to trying the pazole and other soups, and the tamales. The parking situation might be a little challenging when people realize how good the food is here, so I’d recommend doing what I did: Just fill up your gas and walk over to order! Next time I might park on Arguello instead. My only suggestion would be to make the salad dressing less sweet and more tangy instead, but that’s a personal choice.

Cocina La Buena Vida is located in Flyer’s lot on the left side. offerings touted to be «heathy latin». offerings: plates(10) and tacos(2): turkey meatball, brisket(+, 50), carnitas, chicken mole, latin style ribs, chicken tinga –didn’t order plate, didn’t understand what it contained. looks like 2 tacos, chicken broth, and salad. –meats schredded, not grilled. good portion, sauce on lite side. 3.5 stars frijoles refritos: –only one person doing cashiering and cooking –late evening van moves to brewster st. –ingredients fresh, needs a little more sauce.
