This is the best place to get sushi in Redwood City. I’ve tried every other sushi restaurant here and nothing compares to sushi plus. The crazy roll is an absolute must. There’s so much fish and it’s so fresh. I’ve tried a few of their rolls and haven’t had a bad one yet. The appetizers I’ve tried weren’t the best but their sushi definitely makes up for it. I come here almost every week since it’s only 10 minutes from my house and office.

We used to come here all the time when they first opened. It was nice and quiet. The staff was super friendly. The food was quite tasty and definitely a good value. Unfortunately, they’ve become very popular. Don’t get me wrong. I am very happy for them that they managed to get their business going but we don’t enjoy going there any more. Now it is overcrowded and really loud. Lots of small children causing havoc. There is always a line to get a table. The food is still pretty good but the wait staff has changed and not as friendly any more, especially the guy that is responsible for sitting down customers. He always looks grumpy. The waiters don’t have assigned tables and the service is very disorganized. You might get asked 5 times if you ordered drinks and then no one will come to refill said drinks. All in all, not a great experience. We only go occasionally for old time sake but less and less often.

Waiting time was quite long. Came here for lunch on Martin Luther Monday. Portion was good. Had the princess roll, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and Philadelphia roll. Rolls were loose so they kinda get all over the place. Taste good though. Will come back. It’s quite loud here but that’s kinda normal for places like this.

came in for take out, not very friendly. wasn’t sure how to order when I asked I was directed with points and sounds. I don’t think anyone spoke a word to me. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the restaurant I was shuffled out of the way and rushed to give my order. once all was said and down I was told to sit, just sit, no please take a seat, «sit there». wish I could review the food but haven’t gotten it. I hope it taste good even after the bad taste the costumer service left in my mouth.

Last minute craving; jumped on my faithful Unilocal; found this gem in the middle of Woodside Plaza. I was surprised at the quality. Fresh fish. Creative Rolls. So/So service though. It was a Tuesday during the holiday break so maybe busier than normal. Not sure. rolls ordered: Kobe Beef Roll = not convinced/3 stars TNT Roll = Fail/3 stars Mountain View Roll = Success/5 stars *We requested REALCRABMEAT not imitation! I’ll be back to try more FORSURE. Its great to have clutch sushi 5 mins from home.

Best neighborhood joint for fresh sushi, served with a smile. We end up here at least once a week and so far, have never been disappointed. We usually only stick to sashimi/sushi so can’t comment on ramen or other dishes. The sushi is fresh, generous quantity and very prompt service.

The sushi pieces are huge and pretty fresh considering we are not in the City. They are also a good value. Probably because it is in a strip center and has lower rent. The only reason I would not rate this place higher is that the service isn’t very good. They are nice, but very inefficient. A little training on the service and this place can be very highly rated.

$ 13.95 for a pretty big iron-cast platter of chicken that comes out sizzling and served atop onions. Think fajitas entrée platter or really, it reminded me more of korean bbq… I’d say this place is more asian-fusion than anything — seems to be Korean influenced, but the sushi types are more american(think funky combos with cream cheese, avocado etc. if that’s your sort of thing) TLDR: this is ‘fusion’ asian, but I’d come back. Big portions and healthy options(e.g. brown rice and chicken breast)

I’m a sushi nerd and will indulge at every chance, in any city and at any price point. Sushi Plus is a tremendous Unilocal find and amazing value for money. Their fish is really fresh and the portions are ridiculously generous. It is Korean owned by has a great vibe and the service is efficient and friendly. If this place was in LA I’d frequent it twice a week!

3.5 stars for the food but rounding down for the service, which was super slow the day that we had lunch. It definitely gets busy here, so come early or try to make reservations. We came early so grabbed one of the last tables when we arrived, and we tried: –Jalapeño Popper(Deep Fried Jalapeño Stuffed w/Spicy Tuna, Snow Crab, Cream Cheese, Tobiko, Special Sauce, $ 6.95): Solid jalapeño popper, and we liked the flavors in the sauce. –Hamachi Kama(Grilled Hamachi Collar w/Ponzu Sauce, $ 11.95): A decent portion size for the price, but some of the skin wasn’t descaled properly, and they didn’t clean off all of the fish organs, so some bites of the fish tasted bitter. I wouldn’t order this again here. –Seaweed Salad($ 4.95, ): They give you a gigantic portion for only $ 4.95, and it was really good. Definitely worth ordering for the value if you like seaweed salad. –Lion King Roll(Snow Crab, Avocado, Covered w/Baked Salmon, Special Sauce, $ 10.95): Yum– it’s hard to mess up a lion king roll, and this one was god. –Summertime Roll(Deep Fried Avocado, Cucumber, Mango, Deep Fried Shrimp, Special Sauce, $ 8.95): Ok– I’m not a big fan of deep fried rolls/items in rolls, and the mango was a bit strange to me. –49ers Roll(Salmon, Avocado, Cucumber, Covered w/Salmon, Tobiko, Special Sauce, $ 11.95, ): Good 49ers roll, and the salmon was fresh. –Big Smile(Yellowtail, Cucumber, Avocado, Covered w/Spicy Salmon, Unagi, Tobiko w/Special Sauce, $ 13.95) & Delicious Roll(Yellowtail, Avocado, Cucumber, Covered w/Tuna, Salmon, Tobiko, $ 13.95) [ : The delicious roll was fresh and had huge pieces of hamachi and the big smile was also good, although I’m not a huge unagi fan so probably wouldn’t order this one again. –Unagi Lover($ 14.95): This was too much unagi for me, but I liked the sauce. The rolls here are pretty good, and decent sized for the price. The biggest negative was the super slow service, since they were obviously understaffed the day that we went. I overheard other tables also complaining about the slow service and their drinks/wasabi not being re-filled. I would come back for more rolls and just have lower expectations for the service. Parking is easy since the lot is big.

Absolutely loved this place! Came here about an hour before they closed, got a seat within a few minutes and had good service the whole time. Tried the seaweed salad and loved it, though we could have shared one, good portion size. The tempura veggies were awesome. And each roll we got was delicious! The rainbow roll was my favorite. Everything tasted fresh and made us all very full! I hope to be back soon!

I came to this place twice for lunch, both times were great experiences! The name«Sushi Plus» makes it sound like one of those cheap sushi places, but don’t let that deter you :) First time I came, I wasn’t very hungry and just got a udon bowl. It was pretty average. The second time, I got the chirashi bowl and shared a side order of uni with a friend. I usually rate sushi restaurants based on how good their chirashi bowls are, since I love fresh sashimi. In terms of the types of cuts, the selection is pretty average. The fish, however, is very fresh and the cuts are extremely generous. The fresh uni was delectable! It was super fresh and as you can tell from the picture, we definitely got our money’s worth. One downside though, is that the waiter we got did not speak English very well. He misheard and got 2 out of the 3 things my friend ordered wrong. They were very apologetic and good about fixing their mistake and bringing out the right orders, so it’s not a big deal.

It’s not too often that I am around this part of town, thank goodness for Unilocal! I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who sat me down at a table upon entering the restaurant. The waitress came over and asked me what I wanted to drink and dropped it off within a minute. I ordered and the gentleman was going around the restaurant making laps to make sure everyone was taken care of. It didn’t take long for them to bring me out my bento box, I was very surprised how much food they served. The chicken teriyaki was moist and flavorful, the tempura was fresh, and the California rolls were big, but they use a crab mixture. It also came with a scoop of rice and miso soup. All for under $ 10! Overall service was 4 stars, 3.5 stars for the food, and 4 stars for the value!

Busy place! But tKe that as an excellent sign! If your taking a date sit at the bar it’s definitely the full experience! If you are dining with a larger group show up early so you can be seated together quickly, often small groups form later in the evening and it’s hard to accommodate a party larger than 5. Fish/sushi is in HUGE portions but the bento boxes(the teriyaki chicken specifically) can be a bit dry some times but then again excellent other times. Worth a try and a neighborhood favorite, always a spot to grab good sushi from when I want to stay local! Hope you enjoy!

I really like what they did with the seating here. They have the tables kinda separated with these small low rising walls which gives each table a more private feel. The service here isn’t exceptional. I took several chipped plates and ceramic tea cups, and had to ask for another serving of tea for my table because they were 1 short. We ordered 3 types of sushi that I forgot the names of because I keep procrastinating on my Unilocal reviews. One was a spicy tuna roll with some jalapeño peppers in there and glazed with some spicy bright orange/salmon color sauce. It actually wasn’t really that spicy, and coming from someone who doesn’t like very spicy foods, that means it’s a good choice for someone who wants to be a little bold and try some unique flavors. The other roll had a mixture of tuna and salmon sashimi with avocado and eel. That was very delicious. The sashimi pieces were thicker than your average sushi place, which I prefer because I absolutely love the texture of raw fish. The last roll was a soft shell crab roll. This was also really good. The rolls are slightly pricy, but the rolls come in above average sizes. I definitely recommend this place and would come back.

This place is probably the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to thus far. When you think of the name, Sushi Plus, it doesn’t sound like you’re about to eat bomb sushi or even when you pull up to the parking lot. There is usually a wait unless you come early and manage to grab a table. The service is fairly good and fast. I’ve been here numerous times so here are my thoughts: 49er Roll and Crazy Roll: My favorite is the 49er roll and i would definitely recommend if you love SALMON. It’s literally just covered in sake sashim! Their sushi is also very fresh and very generous. They give you a lot so the prices are more than reasonable! If you like a variety of fish, I would definitely recommend the Crazy Roll — this roll is literally crazy with fish! Bento Box: Super good and filling if you aren’t really in the mood for that much sushi Monkey Brains $ 5.95: The description sounded better to me than the actual dish. I wouldn’t get it again. Sushi Taco $ 6.95: Pretty good. Lots of flavor and very different than traditional sushi. Tuna Hawaiian Poki Salad $ 10.95; Super good and filling — they give a lot of tuna and seaweed salad! Seabass Skewered $ 7.95: Something different and the mango adds a nice touch. Definitely worth a try! I would definitely recommend coming here! You will not be disappointed.

Came here with two of my girlfriends, and YUMYUMYUM! I had the Maguro and the Tako sashimi, and the portions were HUGE! I have no complaints :) The girls ordered: Green dragon roll — barely had any shrimp in it, like I didn’t see any in the cross section Crazy roll — huge. HUGE. Fried Tako — looked super yummy, they liked that it was super crispy and the batter was very good. Hamachi kama — has garlic powder on it, but they seemed to like it. The service was pretty good, but get a reservation, since this place gets pretty full pretty fast.

From the outside this looks like a normal sushi place with okay sushi. No, go inside and order some gotdam sushi. They serve a lot of sushi for the quality and price you pay. You probably will get full from just one order. Service was great given that EVERYTABLE was full with lots of orders coming through the sushi bar and kitchen. If you’re thinking of coming here for dinner either come in early or call in reservations for a table. There are lines out the door during dinner time. If crowds and or heat overwhelm you I guess you can order something to go.

I have to agree with my other Unilocal friends! This place is yummy yummy to my tummy! :) Located near a Chinese restaurant, Bank of America, Michael’s and a Ross! You can eat then shop! How nice is that! :) I usually come here after work as I love their Bento boxes especially the BBQ Ribs and the Cali Roll! Yummy! The shrimp Tempura is so delicious as well! Customer service is amazing, staff are always pleasant! As soon as you walk in the Sushi Chefs greet you. Usually when I come there is no waiting. The portions here are a good amount for the price that you are paying and everything is made so fresh! I have to say this is my second best Sushi spot in the area! Way to go Sushi Plus! :)
