I have been very pleased with Dr. Thodas My 2 sons have been going to see her for 8 months. They have both been very happy with Dr. Thodas as well. 1 of my sons has a bad gag reflex and Dr. Thodas has been very understanding with him, and shown him different tricks to help him get comfortable. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Our dog chewed up both my son’s retainers’. I called the office and the staff was amazing. They made an appointment for my son at the last minute and took an imprint. One of the staff members came in on her time off and made his retainer.
They were incredibly accommodating and helpful.

I’ve been going to her for about 3 months now and I just love it! Every single staff person is so sincerely nice and caring. I have never experienced an office like this. And they make sure to fit me into their day if something goes wrong with my braces like a wire getting loose etc. I highly recommend this orthodontic office!

If you simply want the best and one of the most friendliest place for orthodontic treatment in the world then this is the place to go! I can not run out of great and positive things to say about this place! I miss coming here to get my braces tightened (yes, that’s right!) because everyone here is just so wonderful.
Dr. Thodas is highly knowledgeable, very passionate, kind, lively and is backed with years of experience that shows through her work. Dr. Thodas also offers the Damon System of braces which is similar to the classic braces but are a little more discrete and sleeker looking. The best part about using this type of braces is that it has made cleaning and maintaining my braces much easier! But, if you want to be more discrete and be a ninja she can also do Invisalign! For me, using the Damon System was very comfortable and I am super happy with my treatment!
The consultation for my brace treatment at the beginning was very thorough and all possible avenues for treatment options were very much explored by Dr. Thodas, my parents and I to find the best course of treatment that suits my case. My parents had no problem with the paper work and billing, everything ran smooth and according to them all their questions were answered with no problems at all. They’ve had such a great experience with me that they also came back here for my little brothers orthodontic treatment as well.
Aside from Dr. Thodas, the RDA’s Martha and Arky, lab tech Patty, and the front desk Daisy and Tammy are amazing, super friendly, confident and are highly knowledgeable. Coming here I didn’t feel like just another patient but I felt more like part of a family. They are so welcoming that they take out the intimidation of any dental office visit that many of us are all so familiar with.
All the procedures are all very well explained so you know exactly whats going on during your care. The RDA’s are very gentle and always answers your questions during treatment. So you never have to feel left out or left wondering what is happening. Simply put, their practice is very patient centered and patient oriented with the goal of giving the highest possible care no matter what age. It’s amazing to see little kids excited at the office and not being terrified about getting treatment!
With setting up appointments they are so accommodating to your time and situation that I’ve never had once a problem with emergency appointments, cancellations. and rescheduling. The receptionists are more than happy to work with you and they are the friendliest receptionists you could ever find! The receptionists are so genuine and have all smiles from the moment you walk in the door and are always more than happy to help you with anything. I miss talking to them, that’s how awesome they are!
Other than from the outstanding staff and doctor this place looks wonderful inside and out and it just feels cozy and welcoming from the moment you step on the premise. The place offers ample parking space in the back with a walk way leading into the office with additional curb side parking out in front. A little down side about parking in the back is that the entrance to it only fits one car at a time so you may have to yield for a car coming in or out once in a while.
In general, the care I received was terrific and very professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to receive my orthodontic treatment. I know I had a great experience here because when I walked out that front door for the last time with my second set of retainers, I had that that sad feeling inside that went, «I’m going to certainly miss this place very much.» But also… «I’m off to face the world with a better smile!»
So, if you’re still out there looking for a place for orthodontic treatment, I would certainly try and check this place out or give them a call! What are you waiting for? Call them now!
I’ve also talked to my friends and their parents about the care I received here and they are pretty much blown away by the amazing treatment I got compared to their own experiences with their own orthodontist!

I actually just went in for a consultation and turns out I was looking for help from the wrong discipline, but I’m still a fan. This lace made me wish I had an orthodontic issue so that I could be a client here.
Location: convenient with parking at the rear and located close to the corner of a block right off El Camino. The building is a cute grey house converted into a business with clean, organized, and up to date appliances and technology.
Staff: Very friendly and attentive. You don’t feel rushed.
Dr. Thodas: Friendly, meets and speaks with you with a smile, knowledgeable and good at explaining things in an easy to understand manner, great bedside manner.
Return factor: I would come back here if there was a need.

We enjoy going to Dr. Thodas because of the high quality care and support from her staff. Through her treatment process, Dr. Thodas has corrected our son’s speech as well as prevented his need for surgery. She is thoughtful and artistic and her staff is always accommodating.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Thodas and her staff, they are wonderful. Let me tell you the story of how we ended up there. We were living in Chico, CA and that is where my oldest daughter started her orthodontia. Her teeth weren’t that bad and we were told she would have her braces just 2 years, 2.5 years later she was still in them and the orthodontist there and his staff never seemed to know what they were doing. The only good thing he did do was recommend Gabby Thodas to us since he went to school with her and he knew she was in the Peninsula area. When we moved to Belmont I called Dr. Thodas’ office and told her our story how we just moved but that my oldest daughter was supposed to be getting her braces off soon. They fit us in for an appointment quickly. The office is a very cute house that is fitted with state of the art equipment and very clean. They immediately made us feel very welcome. Dr. Thodas was able to close the gap between my daughter’s two front teeth in a week and was kind enough to only charge us for the removal of her braces (which will be this Wednesday) and retainer fees equal in the amount of the refund we received from her old orthodontist. She also has been amazing with my youngest daughter. Without her officially even being a patient she already did an exam, xrays, etc and is going to be able to fix her teeth in a much shorter time than we thought possible. We couldn’t be happier with Dr. Thodas and the women that work at the front desk are so nice and kind as is the rest of her staff. You will not regret going to Dr. Thodas’ office, It is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made and my daughter’s smiles will be proof :)

As an adult I thought orthodontia was way beyond me. But, when Dr. Glen Lew –my excellent dentist — recommended her I went.
Well, when I walked in I thought I must have the wrong place. Seriously, everyone was so happy –like having a good time! She was knowledgable, kind, as was ALL of her staff. I really can not express how great these professionals are. Plus her office has an easy to get going financial plan — surprise… I did not know how easily the finances could be worked out. Besides getting straight, pretty teeth I have always been treated like a princess when I come to her office. But, all of that is nothing in comparison to the miracle Dr. Thodos performed. Since I was a child I had had migraine headaches. In the years before I met Dr. Thodas I was going to the emergency room often twice a month in horrible pain for migraines in addition to taking preventative injections for migraines. Once I was under her care… I have not had a SINGLE MIGRAINE since. For my life it has been like a miracle. I am truly grateful.
Dr. Thodas is always keeping up with the research and taking her staff to conferences. I was so reluctant to even consider orthodontia work for so many years… and I was so stupid not to have… Dr. Thodas and her staff have been like miracle workers. It is an intangible but invaluable gift the entire office gives with each patient at each visit over the several years have been coming to her office: kindness. the feeling you day has been made better by Dr. Thodas and the staff she surrounds herself with. I recommend her and her office at the highest possible level. No one asked me to write this and no one knows I am writing it.

We have been seeing Dr. Thodas for about 4 – 5 years. I am always impressed with how friendly and caring the staff as well as Dr. Thodas have been. Her care of my son has been excellent. My second son, who is 10 yrs. old, has seen her three times already and each time she tells us to wait and see. I like this conservative approach and have never felt that the office is money motivated.
The staff knows my children’s names as well as mine! I would and do always recommend Dr. Thodas and her staff.

I would not recommend this office. 2 daughters and $ 12,000 later this is my experience.
Dr. Thodas is a pleasant person but has very little regard for the kind of service rendered by her staff and how her patients feel.
Her staff is often rude and will always blame your child if there is a problem. They will never take responsibility for their own incompetence or mistakes. There were numerous times that things were said to my daughters that were completely out of line and when addressed with Dr. Thodas, she defended her staff and was unapologetic.
After 3 years, the office staff still didn’t know the names of my daughters or which was which. I think 3 years treating a patient and $ 12,000 warrants them knowing a name. It just goes to show how little they care about good customer service.
Both my girls dreaded visiting their offices due to the way they were treat by the staff. Unfortunately, what do you do? Once you have signed that contract you are stuck with them until the braces come off.
In the end, my daughters teeth came out fine. So if all you want is a result then this office is fine. However, if you would also like your child to be treated with decency and respect or if you want good customer service, then I would suggest you go elsewhere.

Not happy with this place. I went here a long time ago — maybe 5 or 7 years back. I went away feeling that unsatisfied with the service. I felt rushed and as if they were trying to get money out of me instead of finding the best treatment plan. The doctor did a full mouth exam, xrays and mouth mold before telling me I had to have 4 teeth extracted in order to get braces. I know she didn’t the xrays or mold to tell that what my treatment would be like.
Now after all this time I got a second opinion; and I don’t need to get any teeth pulled. There are treatments that can be done and not have to put me through these extremes.
I recommend you get a second opinion if you do decide to go here.
