Ash is the absolute best!
From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the lovely receptionist who offered me water. I have been to many different European wax centers and I have never been offered water. Nice touch.
Ash did my wax and it was painless. I have gotten many waxes over the years and this was by far the best experience.
I would definitely return. I’m happy that have a European wax center near me, this is now my go to spot.

ASK FOR MARINA! If you are considering a brazilian or bikini wax, the go-​to girl is Marina. She is so nice and truly makes you feel relaxed. I was nervous at first because it was my first time but she calmed me down. She keeps is conversational while she’s working her magic. The wax they use doesn’t require strips which I found so strange. It actually hurts less without the strips.

As previously stated, he was getting the service done for sentimental reasons. My fiancé tried to video chat me; not the other way around. Finally, I WAS a regular customer at the European Wax Center; just not this particular location. The comments made about his experience were his own words. I asked him how she waxed the swollen area and he stated that she went back over the areas that were already waxed several times before using the tweezers. Of course, this could cause more irritation than necessary. Three days later, and the swelling has gone down but he points out to me daily how his face has been breaking out. I have never experienced this in all of the years that I have been waxing.

I was reluctant to get a full Brazilian wax ever again in my life due to a horrible experience I had at a salon I used to frequent but when I saw European Wax Center opened up a few blocks away from me I decided I had to give it a try.
3 months ago I came in and got waxed by Ash; TMI: but I came in with a wooly mammoth (I hadn’t waxed or shaved in months since I had got skinned at another salon months prior to this visit). I told Ash that I was nervous and possibly traumatized but she assured me that everyone at EWC are properly trained. I immediately felt comfortable with her confidence. Ash is very friendly and offers good advice on how to properly care for waxed areas. I bought a prepaid package with the intention of only seeing Ash. I had scheduled for her the following month but there was a mix up in waxers and ended up getting another lady. Today I came in for my 3^rd visit and specifically requested Ash. There is a big difference and you could see this when your hair starts to grow. With Ash, my hair didn’t start to appear until about 3 weeks later. I am super happy with her service!
The girls at the front are very nice and welcoming. The manager also makes it her priority to make sure there’s 100% customer satisfaction.
As far as products go, I recommend the slow hair growth body wash and lotion, I don’t wax my legs, I shave them, but I used that product on my legs for the most part and my hair takes longer to grow back.

Ash is super sweet. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed even for something as painful as waxing. Always fast and efficient too. In and out in ten minutes.

I had my first free eyebrow waxing as a first time customer. I made an appointment with Abhi because she had such good reviews on Unilocal.When you make an appointment, there’s a box that you can write extra comments for your beautician to see. I wrote that my skin is super sensitive. She had read that and asked me more about it at the time of the appointment. I told her about my past waxing and threading experiences and how my eyebrow area stays red and irritated for 1 – 2 days. So she put some special calming oil and she started waxing and told me that their wax doesn’t contain alcohol (most do) so it wouldn’t make my skin dry or irritated. I liked the new shape she gave my eyebrows (she made them a bit thinner) but my eyebrow area was still red for 2 days.
So that’s why I would have to give her 4 stars, even though she was very nice and professional!

Abhi is great! She has such an amazing aura that is reassuring and comforts you. She talked to me the whole time while she was doing my brazilian. She also recommended products that could help with my sensitive dry skin. Very informative and sweet. I would highly recommend her! :)

As soon as you walk in, the staff greets you with warm, welcoming smiles. My specialist’s name is ASHRAF and she is awesome! I’ve had terrible experiences with Brazilian waxes before, but she makes it almost painless. She works fast, however not one hair goes unnoticed! Ash is very comforting and sweet, she always makes me laugh which is a plus. Overall, something that would be uncomfortable and painful, is always a great experience.

Omg ASH is amazing !! She did my brazilian and underarm and got every hair. She is very sweet and helpful. She works quickly but efficient very sanitary. If you go, use her !!!

This was my first time at this location I had the pleasure of meeting ASH who took care of me. She was amazing didn’t make me nervous at all I was very comfortable I would recommend her to everyone. Truly amazing :) will only be going to her from Now on. Only complaint I have is with the women at the desk I thought since this was my first time at the new location it meant I was a first time guest simple mix up but I feel they thought I was lying a little uncomfortable but I have no issue paying full price and tipping :).

I have had multiple services here while in NY visiting family. I won’t even bother getting waxed in VA where I live (no EWC’s by me), I just wait till I’m visiting NY because this spot is so good! I must have used every wax specialist here and love them all!

I love Abhilasha! I received my first complimentary waxes (arms, hands and bikini) from her alongside a trainee and immediately felt at ease with her waxing technique. She’s fast, experienced and super comforting (I’m always scared!) I would definitely recommend her for any wax in general because she will immediately see your skin and give you advice on what products to use to better your skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and she took the time to recommend a couple of European Wax Center products and oils to soothe my irritated regions.
As for the wax center associates, everyone is accommodating and helpful for when I’ve had to reschedule my appointments. I have never visited any other waxing center before but this location is convenient and so far I have no reason to stop coming here!

This is such an amazing location! Perfect last stop from shopping all day. The staff is extremely friendly. I love getting my services from Ash and Abhi. They are efficient and 100% professional. They truly know how to get the job done as painless and quick as possible!

Abhi is amazing!
I got my eyebrows done here with Abhi (or Abby) and I can’t express how happy am with the results. She took her time and listen to exactly what I needed. She even applied a calming cream to my sensitive skin which was great because it tends to stay red and irritated for a while after.
We all know, a person’s eyebrows are everything and you take your time going/​finding a place to take care of them. This is definitely one of those places. I noticed they are offering free eyebrow wax, for new customers, so why not try it and see the amazing job she does for yourself?!
As you can see from my profile, I don’t do a lot of (or any) posts on Unilocal but after reading the prior review, I felt I needed to post something!

I had the worst waxing experience ever tonight at this location. Ok a whim, I wanted to get my eyebrows tidied up and walked in. I usually go to the location in New Hyde Park with happy results.
My brows are extremely easy to wax. The basic shape is there; just clean it up and remove strays. Well, the waxer somehow managed to get a glop of wax in my hair. Not just one glop on one side of my head, but on both. After hearing her fiddle around to try to fix this unsuccessfully for what seemed like an eternity, I just told her to cut my hair off.
To give you a sense of how much hair I lost, it was a small bundle from both sides of my head. They are lucky that I’m blessed genetically with thick and lots of hair.
To make matters worse, I noticed a huge portion of my left brow missing when I got home. My brows are completely unsymmetrical now. Even my husband noticed at first glance and he usually doesn’t notice these things.
I’ve never had a bad experience at a European wax center before. Lesson learned? Never stray far from a consistently good location.
I’m granting them one star because the owner tried to rectify the situation herself. Alas, I’ll be staring at the missing section from my brow until it grows back in.
